The storage keeper

Shokal was standing in the middle of the white space and observing the white room very carefully. There was nothing special about that white space. It really looked like an ordinary white room. From his curiosity , Shokal got close to the white wall in front of him and touched it hesitantly . He was really expecting something to happen. Luckily, the wall was really an ordinary white wall and nothing more. From his reaction , It seemed like he was a bit disappointed with the result. Shokal took his eyes off from the wall and called the screen to appear.

And just like before, a screen made with thousands of golden threads which were manifested out of thin air, appeared in front of him. This time, he was not surprised like before, as he somehow possessed the basic understandings of the situation.

A quite similar message like before was displaying in the floating screen. Shokal didn't give much attention to it and commanded, " Show me my status".

Almost immediately new words in golden color started forming in that screen.

[Description: you can kill intellegent life form to get soul shards]

[Description: Grants access to '???'. Where Keeper can store anything]

[Description: Keeper's soul has retained some knowledges from his previous life. These knowledges are like an instinct that is printed in his soul. Keeper's brain accesses the knowledges when needed automatically]

Shokal took a long glance at the screen as if he was understanding most of it. He then ordered the screen," tell me about this white space". The screen started forming new words again.

The screen paused for a moment and displayed,

Shokal was a little annoyed with this sudden behavior of the screen and instinctively said," Eden".

[ Description: Made from the last drop of Earth's essence, Eden can store anything that the keeper touches within it's dimentional boundary. Keeper can check status screen of stored items. Creating Ecosystem is possible by upgrading to next rank.Keeper will also grow stronger with each rank up of Eden. Upgrade is possible with enough soul shard]

Shokal's eyes were widened with all these new informations. He read the description again to make sure he didn't read anything wrong.

"So I can upgrade this space and get stronger?" He asked himself happily. He already knew that he had to hunt and kill to survive here. After all, the jungle is all about survival of the fittest. So that part was not so,surprising for him. But by killing, he will also get a chance to get stronger in future; "Was a blessing!"

he murmured happily.

After all, that will give him a better chance at surviving in this mysterious new place. Who knew what kinda danger he could face in the future. Also it will transform this white space into an ecosystem. That could provide him with basic necessities like food and water and make his life easier. The only obstacle to this distant new future was, getting 1000 soul shards for upgrading Eden into next the rank.

"Who knows how many days it will take to get one shard! I don't even know how many shards I'll get by killing one animal." Shokal let down a big sigh...

Still he was happy with his discovery. And He had already made some plans in his mind about how to use his newfound powers ....

He looked at his right hand.His hand was still holding the tiny branch he used as a doodle brush outside.

"Identify!" shokal ordered nervously.

Almost immediately the screen popped up again with new informations.

There was no extra information on the screen. But Shokal was still happy with result.

"So that's how I can check the informations of the items!" He said happily.

His eyes were filled with curiosity. He couldn't wait to identify a bunch of stuff from outside!.....

He opened the gate; immediately and went to a tree trunk nearby. There was a bunch of little plants that grew on the soil nearby. He plucked all of them and said "store" in his mind . Instantly, The plants became white smoke and vanished into thin air. Shokal could sense that they were now stored in Eden. As his soul was connected to Eden somehow. He spotted a little bush full of purple berries nearby. Shokal touched the bush and said,"Store". Nothing happened this time, and a screen opened Infront of him saying:

Shokal understood the limit of his skill and started plucking the berries, throwing them to the tiny gate he opened beside his right arm.He picked some more random sticks, some big leaves from nearby bushes, a log and went inside Eden..

He sat down on the log he brought and started identifying the things he brought from outside. Somehow, all the things were organized and were in their original condition in front of him. Even though, he had literally thrown them inside while collecting.

He checked the berries first. Those berries were pale blue,with glistening watery skin.

"Cool!" Shokal was excited. He had put some berries into his mouth and started checking the other plants too. The berries tasted like water mixed with tree sap . The screen started showing other plants informations:

Except these three,the other plants he collected were all useless.So,Shokal dismissed them and they have turned into white smoke and vanished from Eden. He had put some more berries into his mouth and started talking to himself,

" Not a bad start I think.With the help of identification I can easily gain advantage over other animals in this unknown place. I should start exploring more again tomorrow. It's been a hectic day. Let's try to sleep for now"....
