The Rich Second-Generation Villain With No Morals

Chapter 75:

Chapter 75: Making the School Belle Call Me Daddy—‘Saint’ Qi Lin Is Online:

“Qi Lin, do you really think I don’t dare expel you?”

Hu Bing glared at Qi Lin in anger.

“I just made a couple of jokes. It’s not like I committed some serious crime. Even if the principal were here, he wouldn’t expel me so easily, right? Director Hu, do you think you’re more powerful than the principal?”

Qi Lin spoke in an indifferent tone.

That remark completely infuriated Hu Bing.

“I may not be able to expel you, but today I must teach you, a disgrace to society, a lesson!”

In his rage, Hu Bing raised his hand, ready to slap Qi Lin.

“Director Hu, I suggest you think twice before acting. My father knows the Director of the Education Bureau. If you lay a hand on me, it would count as corporal punishment. All these students are watching. If this gets out, your position as Director of Discipline might not be so secure.”

Qi Lin spoke in a calm, unhurried manner.

That one sentence made Hu Bing freeze mid-swing.

He was an adult, after all, and had worked his way up to this position in his thirties after enduring countless hardships. The last thing he wanted was to lose his job over something as trivial as punishing Qi Lin.

What Hu Bing didn’t know was that Qi Lin’s parents had no connections with the Education Bureau at all. He was simply bluffing.

But a bluff only worked if the other party believed it, and Qi Lin had pinpointed Hu Bing’s weakness. As expected, Hu Bing fell for it.

“Fine, fine! I’ll let you off today. But Qi Lin, you’d better not cause trouble that lands in my hands, or you know what the consequences will be.”

Hu Bing was so furious that his head buzzed, but without any real leverage against Qi Lin, he could only leave him with a warning.

“Yuelin, go back inside and continue your lesson. I’ll have him stand outside as punishment. He won’t disturb you again.”

After glaring at Qi Lin one last time, Hu Bing turned and left.

Qiu Yuelin stared in disbelief at his departing figure.

In her eyes, Hu Bing was an all-powerful figure at First High School—at least among the students. She had assumed that bringing him here would be enough to put Qi Lin in his place.

But now, watching Hu Bing leave with his tail between his legs, Qiu Yuelin realized that things weren’t as simple as she had thought.

Finally able to continue her lesson, Qiu Yuelin breathed a sigh of relief. Qi Lin didn’t interrupt her again. Instead, he returned to the classroom, grabbed a chair, and leisurely sat outside the classroom door.

The sight left Qiu Yuelin utterly speechless.

Was this supposed to be punishment? This was basically free time. He looked even more relaxed than the students inside.

What made her even more uncomfortable was that throughout the entire lesson, Qi Lin kept smiling at her with an odd look in his eyes.

It felt as if she were a helpless little rabbit being stalked by a fierce tiger.

When the lunch bell rang, Qi Lin stood up and blocked Lan Yuxi’s path as she was about to leave.

“Class Rep, let’s have lunch together.”

Wang Cheng, seeing Qi Lin once again targeting the girl he liked, was seething with rage.

Lan Yuxi glanced at Qi Lin with a slight frown. “Aren’t you trying to woo the new substitute Senior Sister? Go ask her to lunch.”

Hearing the tone in her voice, Qi Lin raised an eyebrow in surprise. “Did I hear that right? Class Rep, are you jealous?”

Wang Cheng’s heart skipped a beat. He looked at Lan Yuxi in a panic.

Swoosh!

Lan Yuxi’s cheeks immediately turned red.

Damn it, she had worded that poorly. She had meant to mock Qi Lin for causing trouble again, but it had come out sounding as if she were jealous of him pursuing the new Senior Sister.

“Tch, who would be jealous of you? You really are shameless. Have you even looked at how outstanding the substitute Senior Sister is? You think you have a chance with her? That’s like a toad trying to eat swan meat.”

Lan Yuxi rolled her eyes at Qi Lin.

“People should have dreams. What if they come true? Just like you, Class Rep.”

Qi Lin chuckled and casually said a famous phrase that didn’t even exist in this era yet.

‘People should have dreams. What if they come true?’

Lan Yuxi was momentarily stunned.

If someone had told her a week ago that her first kiss would be taken by Qi Lin, a rich second-generation heir who did nothing but slack off, she would have called them crazy.

But reality had proven otherwise.

Not only had Qi Lin taken her first kiss, but he still had leverage over her. At this point, he could kiss her whenever he wanted.

“Let’s go. You didn’t eat breakfast this morning, aren’t you hungry?”

Qi Lin casually draped an arm over Lan Yuxi’s shoulder and led her out of the classroom.

“You’re insane! This is school. Who gave you permission to touch my shoulder?”

Lan Yuxi struggled, her beautiful eyes filled with both embarrassment and anger.

“Besides, I don’t even have money to buy you lunch, you bastard.”

Qi Lin grinned. “I ate your breakfast this morning, so lunch is on me. Just come with me.”

Watching Qi Lin walk off with Lan Yuxi, Wang Cheng clenched his fists so tightly that his nails dug into his palms.

But that pain was nothing compared to the ache in his heart.

‘Almost there… I’m close. I’ll soon find out the exact location of that murderer. Once I report it to the police, I’ll get that million-yuan reward. With that money, I’ll finally have the power to compete with Qi Lin.’

‘When that time comes, I won’t have to suffer in silence anymore, watching helplessly as Yuxi is bullied.’

Lan Yuxi was forced into Qi Lin’s car. Halfway through the ride, she finally noticed that they weren’t heading to any of the small restaurants she usually ate at near the school.

“Where are we going? I thought you were taking me to lunch.”

“The places you usually eat at are too low-class for me, Young Master Lin. Today, I’m taking you somewhere nice.”

Qi Lin smirked as he casually drove the Mercedes with one hand, holding a cigarette in the other.

Lan Yuxi glanced at him unintentionally, and her face suddenly flushed.

For some reason, in that fleeting moment, she found Qi Lin’s sharp side profile surprisingly attractive.

‘Oh my god, I must be losing my mind. Why would I think this guy looks handsome?’

Flustered by her own thoughts, Lan Yuxi quickly covered up by scoffing, “Pfft, ‘Young Master Lin’? Do you think you’re some noble from ancient times?”

“Not really. To be honest, I also find it weird when people call me Young Master Lin. I prefer another title.”

Qi Lin smirked.

“What title?”

Lan Yuxi asked without thinking.

“What sound does a car horn make?”

Qi Lin asked.

“Beep… beep?”

Lan Yuxi was confused. What did a car horn have to do with a title? But she still answered.

“Good girl.”

Qi Lin could no longer hold back his laughter.

“Qi Lin, you bastard! You tricked me again!”

Lan Yuxi’s face turned bright red. She finally realized that Qi Lin had set her up to call him “Dad.”

As the two bickered, they arrived at their destination.

Qi Lin immediately got out of the car and ran off.

Lan Yuxi, her face still flushed, chased after him. “Qi Lin, stop right there!”

Qi Lin dashed into a nearby restaurant.

As soon as he spotted a beautiful woman in an emerald-green cheongsam looking at him in surprise, his eyes lit up.

He quickly ran over, hid behind her, and said with an innocent face, “Auntie, your niece is trying to hit me. You have to help me!”

“Uh…”

Lan Yuxi had just rushed into the restaurant when she saw Qi Lin hiding behind her aunt, Xia Sha. Only then did she realize that he had brought her to her aunt’s restaurant.

“Qi Lin, can you move your hands first?”

Xia Sha ignored Qi Lin’s plea for help and instead glared at him with a flushed face, biting her lip.

It turned out that while Qi Lin was hiding behind her, his hands weren’t exactly idle—he was holding onto her slender waist.

“Cough, cough. My bad, I got too nervous just now. I know my dear aunt wouldn’t blame me, right?”

Qi Lin chuckled and finally let go.

Xia Sha didn’t have a bad impression of Qi Lin. If it had been someone else daring to take such liberties, she would have slapped them long ago.

“Alright, spill it. What are you two doing here?”

Xia Sha rolled her eyes at Qi Lin.

Before Lan Yuxi could speak, Qi Lin had already made himself comfortable and grinned. “Class Rep is too skinny. If she keeps this up, no one will want her in the future. So I figured I’d bring her here for a good meal to help her out. And at the same time, I could support my dear aunt’s business.”

As Qi Lin spoke, he sneakily glanced at Lan Yuxi’s chest.

Hmm, a solid B+—not too big, not too small. But she’s still young. There’s room for growth.

Hearing Qi Lin spouting nonsense in front of her aunt, Lan Yuxi was about to explode. Her face turned bright red as she snapped, “You’re the one who’s skinny! Your whole family is! And even if no one wants me, it’s none of your damn business!”

Xia Sha glanced between Qi Lin and Lan Yuxi with a thoughtful look.

From the moment they walked in, the two had been bickering like a pair of lovebirds. They didn’t seem like just classmates at all.

Could there be something between them that she didn’t know about?

“What do you want to eat? Consider it a thank-you for your help last time. This meal is on me.”

Xia Sha smiled generously.

“If Aunt Xia is being so generous, then I won’t hold back. I’ll have braised softshell turtle, chopped chili fish head, steamed blue crab, and farmhouse-style roasted chicken. Pack them up—we’ll take them to go.”

Qi Lin casually flipped through the menu and quickly ordered all his favorite dishes.

Xia Sha: “…”

Looking at the dishes he picked, Xia Sha didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Sure, she offered to treat them, but did he really have to take advantage of her like this? Those dishes alone cost at least three or four hundred yuan—a small fortune back in this era.

But since she had already promised, she could only sigh and tell the kitchen to prepare the order.

“Qi Lin, why aren’t we eating here? Why are you packing it up?”

Lan Yuxi was already at her wit’s end. She knew that talking to Qi Lin would only make her angry, yet she still couldn’t help but ask.

“You’ll find out soon enough.”

As expected, Qi Lin simply smirked and kept her guessing.

Before long, their order was ready, and the waitress from last time packed it up for them.

Xia Sha was busy entertaining another table of guests, so she didn’t personally see them off.

Before leaving, Qi Lin discreetly placed a 100-yuan bill on the table.

When Xia Sha later returned and saw the money, she smiled faintly.

‘That kid sure has a slick mouth, but he’s surprisingly mature when it comes to doing things.’

She glanced outside, but Qi Lin’s Mercedes had already disappeared.

“Qi Lin, are you out of your mind?”

“It’s over 30 degrees outside, and instead of staying in my aunt’s air-conditioned restaurant, you brought me to a place like this to eat?”

On the lakeside walkway of South Lake in Jianghan City, Qi Lin spread out their packed meal and casually dug into a box of rice.

Meanwhile, Lan Yuxi stood beside him, looking utterly distressed under the scorching sun.

She had known all along that Qi Lin’s mind worked differently from normal people’s. She never should have agreed to follow him for lunch.

Qi Lin, being a guy, didn’t care about getting a tan. But she was a girl!

The thought of her fair, flawless skin turning into a sunburned tan made her want to scream.

“You just don’t appreciate the finer things in life. Look at this view—eating while enjoying the lakeside scenery makes the meal taste even better.”

“Oh, by the way, instead of glaring at me, are you sure you don’t want to try some of this delicious blue crab?”

“Wow, look at all this crab roe. Slurp—damn, this is amazing!”

Qi Lin gleefully bit into a crab, savoring every bite, completely unfazed by the heat.

Lan Yuxi rarely got to eat expensive dishes like blue crab or softshell turtle. Seeing Qi Lin wolfing it all down made her both jealous and frustrated.

“Screw it! If I get a tan, so be it. That’s still better than starving while this bastard eats all the good food!”

Blushing, Lan Yuxi finally gave in. She crouched down, adjusted her skirt to avoid exposing herself, and joined Qi Lin in devouring the food.

But was Qi Lin really here just for the scenery?

Of course not.

He had come all this way to intercept someone.

“Eh? Isn’t that Qi Lin? What are you doing here?”

Just as Qi Lin and Lan Yuxi were enjoying their meal, a surprised voice called out from behind them.

Hearing that voice, Qi Lin smirked.

‘Finally, the main event has arrived.’

Casually tossing aside the shell of the softshell turtle he had just finished eating, Qi Lin wiped his hands and stood up.

Lan Yuxi’s face turned red again. Looking at the grease on her hands, she couldn’t believe that she—a refined school belle—had just squatted by the roadside, stuffing her face with seafood like some street thug.

Hurriedly wiping her delicate hands, she quickly stood up as well.

“Oh wow, isn’t this Brother-in-Law Jiang Lei? What brings you here?”

Qi Lin looked at Jiang Lei with mock surprise.

“Honey, hurry up and greet him. This is my dear brother-in-law.”

He wrapped an arm around Lan Yuxi’s shoulder and grinned.

“You bastard! Who’s your wife?!”

Lan Yuxi’s face turned crimson. She had actually thought Jiang Lei was one of Qi Lin’s relatives, but there was no way she was calling him “Brother-in-Law.”

Instead, she just nodded politely and said, “Hello.”

Jiang Lei looked at the stunningly beautiful girl beside Qi Lin, her skin as fair as snow, her features flawless. Even compared to Qi Xueyao, she was just as breathtaking.

‘Damn, Qi Lin is way ahead of me. When I was his age, I was just a nerd focused on studying.’

‘Even now, he’s got his arm around a girl, while I can’t even hold Qi Xueyao’s hand.’

Jiang Lei sighed inwardly.

“I came out to buy lunch. Your Sister Xueyao is waiting for me to bring her food.”

He raised the takeout box in his hand and then glanced at the leftovers Qi Lin and Lan Yuxi had been eating.

Seeing the expensive dishes, he couldn’t help but feel self-conscious.

‘Damn, this guy is still in high school, but his lunch is softshell turtle, blue crab, and roasted chicken. Meanwhile, I—an entrepreneur with a prestigious degree—am stuck eating a 10-yuan boxed meal. The more I compare, the sadder I get.’

“Oh, I just thought the scenery here was nice, so I decided to have lunch here. Since Sister Xueyao is waiting for you, Brother-in-Law, you should hurry back.”

Qi Lin smiled, hoping Jiang Lei would leave quickly.

Because in a few moments, someone was going to need saving.

As Jiang Lei turned to leave, a desperate cry suddenly came from the lake.

“Glub, glub—Help! My leg cramped up! Someone, please save me!”

A child’s panicked voice echoed across the water.

Jiang Lei and Qi Lin both turned their heads toward the lake.

‘Here it comes.’

Qi Lin’s heart raced as he spotted the drowning child.

Jiang Lei wasn’t the type to get involved in other people’s business, but for some reason, an impulse surged within him.

‘Damn it, why do I feel like I need to save this kid?’

“Don’t be scared, little guy! Stay still—big brother is coming to save you!”

Jiang Lei didn’t hesitate. He dropped his takeout, ready to jump into the water.

But just as he was about to leap, a hand stopped him.

Qi Lin looked at him seriously.

“Brother-in-Law, saving people is dangerous. What if something happens to you? What about Sister Xueyao?”

“Let me do it. I’m younger, stronger, and I have nothing to lose.”

At this moment, Qi Lin actually radiated a saint-like glow.
