Episode 42
Episode 42
“Onii-sama, what are you looking at?”
As I was glancing at the bulletin board while leveling up in battle, Lulura tilted her head in curiosity.
“I’m gathering information about ‘Little Brave Online.'”
“You mean about this world, right?”
“Yeah. There’s a place where foreigners can communicate with each other. Right now, I’m collecting information there.”
“I want to see it too…”
“You might not be able to see it, but I can tell you the information I find.”
“What’s it like!?”
“Well… There’s a thread titled ‘Talking about Lulura-tan, Part 1.'”
“Lulura…tan? Is that about me by any chance?”
“It seems like you’ve become quite famous on some video site.”
“Isn’t that because you posted the videos, Onii-sama!”
“Well, well… Everyone seems to like you.”
“R-Really… If that’s the case, I’m happy. Do you think my videos are good too, Onii-sama?”
“Of course.”
“Hehe… That’s good to hear.”
Lulura, though a bit embarrassed, smiled happily.
When I checked a little while ago, the number of subscribers had surpassed 15,000, and there’s no doubt that this growth is thanks to Lulura.
While engaging with Lulura, beheading monsters, and collecting information through my avatar in the real world, I was summarizing the information gathered from bulletin boards and other sources.
I was looking at the bulletin board not just for strategy information, but for another reason as well.
I was searching for video content ideas.
Looking at other streamers, it seems that strategy videos and informative content are quite popular.
Of course, I plan to add my own twist to such content, but I also wanted to create something that leverages my unique strengths.
Preferably, something closely related to ‘Little Brave Online.’
In other words, I thought the best thing would be to solve a problem that everyone is currently facing, so I was browsing the bulletin board, and it seems that PK (Player Killing) is a big issue.
Well, it’s understandable since even Kujou was involved, but apparently, beginner hunting is a significant problem now.
…This could be good material.
If I go on a PKK (Player Killer Killer) spree, it should attract considerable attention.
Whether I stream it or upload a video, it will become some content.
Moreover, I would probably be appreciated, so there’s no downside.
“Alright, Lulura. From now on, we’ll level up while taking down those PKers.”
“PK means fighting between foreigners, right? Is that… a common thing?”
“It’s not exactly common, but it’s one way to enjoy the game.”
Moreover, at this stage, it seems there are many benefits to PKing.
Even without that, there are many people who enjoy PvP, just as there are those who enjoy hunting monsters or simply traveling this world leisurely.
Some people even consider this game a place to make money.
The current state is the result of these various motivations intersecting.
Everyone is free to enjoy the game as they wish.
However, if it causes beginners and new players to hesitate, that’s not good.
A decrease in the player population means fewer potential viewers for Mai’s streams.
Of course, there are those who watch without playing the game, but they are primarily Mai’s fans.
To attract those who watch solely because the game’s interesting, the game’s visibility needs to remain high.
I immediately activated [Warp] and moved to the first town.
Upon arriving in the first town, I used [Disguiser] and started moving through the town.
I had Lulura hide in my pocket and headed outside the town.
Then, using skills to conceal my presence, I observed the situation outside.
……It seems everyone is more cautious than I thought, and few people venture out alone.
Moreover, half-naked men regularly patrol outside the town.
……Ah yes, there was a clan known for hunting down ‘Assassin Break.’
Searching my memory, the names ‘Muscles’ and ‘Hamstrings’ came to mind.
Yes, these two.
However, their levels weren’t particularly high, and they often struggled against ‘Assassin Break.’
Since they seem to be handling the areas near the town, I head deeper into the wilderness.
While using my skills to check the surroundings, I discovered adventurers who appeared to be in the middle of a battle.
As I headed towards them, I saw they were indeed engaged in a fight.
Having already deactivated [Disguiser], I quickly grasped my daggers and rushed to rescue those being attacked by red-eyed men.
First, I launched an attack. Activating [Throwing], I hurled a dagger at one of the men.
“Gah!? What the…?”
The man who took the dagger to his back staggered and glared at me.
His face showed surprise.
“It’s… it’s the Clown Brother!!”
Seeing their astonished faces, I swung my dagger.
In an instant, I dispatched the man who had shouted, and the remaining five attackers glared at me.
“Who cares about the Clown Brother! Don’t flinch! Get him!”
The leader of their party yelled as he charged at me.
The remaining four readied their magic and bows to attack, but I dodged all their attacks and took down the three at the front.
They’re all weak. Their movements are too predictable. They need more real combat experience.
