Chapter 67: Chapter 67: The Flowing Cloud Mountains
As Qin Wushuang and Wei Wushuang waited in the courtyard, they were both taken aback by what they saw when Lin Qian and the others returned. The reason for their shock was the presence of Ding Zhirong and the other four disciples behind Lin Qian.
The aura of a Nirvana Realm soul warrior typically has a limit, but if someone like Qin Wushuang and Wei Wushuang sensed an aura that seemed distorted, there was only one possibility: breaking through the limit.
For a Nirvana Realm soul warrior, their power reaches a certain ceiling. However, if they manage to break through this ceiling and tap into their hidden potential before advancing to the Void Shattering Realm, their strength and combat power can skyrocket.
Lin Qian, still solidifying his foundation at the first level of the Nirvana Realm, hadn't yet reached the point of breaking through his limits. Yet, in the eyes of Qin Wushuang and Wei Wushuang, Lin Qian was already so powerful that when he eventually reached the ninth level of the Nirvana Realm, he would undoubtedly break through his limits.
As for Lei Qian, ever since following Lin Qian in training, he had reaped many benefits. Not only had his strength improved rapidly, but after completing his supplementary rounds of Nirvana, he had successfully broken through his limits as well. His strength was now unfathomable.
But what surprised Qin Wushuang and Wei Wushuang the most was that Ding Zhirong, Zhao Haiming, Li Letian, and Wang Lanxin, the other four disciples, had also begun to exhibit distorted auras.
This clearly indicated that in just five short days, these four had managed to break through their limits.
Having experienced breaking through the limits himself during his time as one of the Twin Stars of Wanxiang, Qin Wushuang knew just how difficult it was to achieve this. Yet Lin Qian had somehow managed to accomplish this in just five days.
"How did you do it?" Qin Wushuang finally recovered from his shock, staring at Lin Qian in disbelief.
Lin Qian just smiled and shook his head. "Uncle, that's something I can't really explain."
Qin Wushuang then turned to look at Ding Zhirong and the others, but they all shook their heads just as quickly.
"So, Uncle, do you have confidence in our upcoming journey to the Ancient Relic now?" Lin Qian asked with a grin.
Qin Wushuang sighed in amazement and replied, "Yes, I do."
With that, it was time to move on to the main event—the journey to the Ancient Relic. At noon, the three sects and five schools were to gather at the site of the relic to begin the trial.
A dark shadow suddenly shot out from the clouds above Wanxiang Sect, speeding toward the center of Linhai Prefecture.
The dark shadow that broke through the clouds was a strange flying ship with pointed ends and a flat bottom. On the ship, a two-story narrow pavilion was built. At the top of the pavilion's second floor, a central tower adorned with intricate formations emitted a faint aura of power.
"So this is the Cloud Boat," Lin Qian muttered to himself as he examined the vessel's interior with curiosity. "I've read about it in the records, but this is my first time riding one."
The entire cabin was lined with complex formation patterns. At key nodes within the patterns, there were recesses that held soul crystals. Judging by the aura of the crystals, they were of medium quality.
Qin Wushuang stood at the center of the formation, channeling his blue water-element soul power into the pattern, gradually turning the entire formation blue.
The Cloud Boat, a type of soul artifact, required the user to infuse their soul power into the formation to control it. After fully activating the formation and gaining control of the vessel, Qin Wushuang stopped his soul power output and stepped away from the formation.
"Cloud Boats are incredibly valuable soul artifacts," Qin Wushuang explained with a sigh. "They require both a skilled refiner and a powerful formation master to create. In Linhai Prefecture, only Sheng Tian Sect has two of them. This one was a gift from my brother when he returned from the outside world."
To Qin Wushuang, the Cloud Boat was a rare treasure in Linhai Prefecture, but to Lin Qian, it was just a slight novelty, hardly something to be impressed by.
"This Cloud Boat is too low-grade. It can only accommodate about two hundred people. In my Huaxia Empire, even the lowest-tier warships can hold up to thirty thousand," Lin Qian thought to himself as he left the cabin, shaking his head.
Feeling that Linhai Prefecture was indeed rather remote and isolated, Lin Qian walked out onto the deck of the Cloud Boat, gazing into the distance beyond the clouds. "Xin'er, I'll finally see you soon."
Under Qin Wushuang's control, the Cloud Boat sped forward, slicing through the clouds as it headed toward the Ancient Relic in the center of the Flowing Cloud Mountains in Linhai Prefecture.
The Ancient Relic lay deep within the Flowing Cloud Mountains, in a collapsed area where two powerful soul beasts had fought for dominance over the mountain range. Beneath the collapsed earth, an ancient sect's relic had been exposed, now known as the Ancient Relic.
After being explored and developed by the three sects and five schools, it was eventually determined that the relic's primary function was to train outstanding Nirvana Realm disciples.
At this moment, deep within the Flowing Cloud Mountains, a massive black hole revealed the ancient relic, its entrance surrounded by a colorful barrier. Around the entrance, the three sects and five schools had constructed a large plaza, where people had already gathered, waiting.
Among them was an elderly man in a blue robe with long white hair. He stared intently at the entrance, with six disciples—four men and two women—standing behind him, all dressed in blue robes and chatting among themselves.
These were the disciples of Jinghai Sect.
Opposite them, a silver-haired woman in a white robe also examined the entrance closely. Behind her stood three male disciples in white robes, each exuding an extraordinary aura, and three female disciples in white dresses, standing quietly by their side.
Among the female disciples was a beautiful young woman with a frown on her face, looking both anxious and expectant as she glanced skyward from time to time.
"Xin'er, you seem uneasy. Is something troubling you?" One of the three male disciples, the most handsome of the group, approached her with concern.
As the young woman named Xin'er noticed him approaching, she immediately moved closer to the silver-haired woman, her face full of disdain. "Please don't call me Xin'er. We're not that close!"
The young man's expression stiffened, but he quickly forced a smile. "Junior Sister Ye, sincerity can move mountains. I believe you'll come around eventually."
After saying that, he turned and rejoined the other two male disciples.
This was, of course, the group from Divine Sword Sect, and the beautiful young woman was Ye Xin!
"Thinking about your little lover, huh?" the silver-haired woman teased Ye Xin with a soft chuckle.
Ye Xin blushed and pouted, "Auntie, stop teasing me..."
"Alright, alright, I'll stop," the silver-haired woman laughed, gently pinching Ye Xin's rosy cheeks.
Turning back to the sky, Ye Xin sighed, "Little Qian, when will you get here?"
