The Main Character's Body was Taken by the Villainess.

Chapter 2

"Shall we introduce ourselves first?"

Bellatrix sat down in front of Belver, who was trembling with a kind of shame he'd never felt before.

Her face wasn't filled with the demonic expression Belver had imagined but rather with interest and curiosity.

Enough to slightly reassure Belver, who was shaking from this strange new sensation.

At Bellatrix's suggestion for conversation, Belver perked up his ears and met her eyes.

Then, immediately lowered them.

Though it was the same appearance he'd seen until falling asleep, how different the atmosphere was.

Unlike the innocent and naive-looking Belver, with Bellatrix inside, he looked incredibly handsome and imperious.

Her natural ruler's aura blended with the protagonist's appearance to create something rather Casanova-like.

In other words, exactly the type Belver would be terrified to even speak to.

For Belver, who was extremely shy, this was nothing short of a disaster.

"I'm in a good mood, so I'll go first. I'm Bellatrix de Salazar. First daughter of Duke Salazar and second-ranked freshman. And you?"

"I'm Belver..."

Though Bellatrix truly spoke from being in a good mood, it sounded different to Belver.

To Belver, it only sounded like she was enjoying thinking about how to tear him apart and kill him.

That's how well he knew her.

Surely, Bellatrix wouldn't forgive Belver.

Even if it wasn't something Belver had wanted to do.

Still, to avoid offending her, he gave a brief answer.

It was the best answer Belver could give.

He couldn't talk about being the protagonist or anything like that.

Nor could he mention things like the protagonist's origins that only he knew.

"Is that all? I'm starting to feel annoyed. Can't you give a more sincere answer?"

"I really have nothing else to say! I'm an orphan, so I don't have a family name, and my test scores are only third from the bottom..."

"I felt it earlier, but you really are a commoner? I've entered such a body? Me, a noble?"

"Ugh..."

Belver didn't respond to Bellatrix's words.

Besides the secrets that would only get him treated like a madman if he spoke them, everything was exactly as she said.

Right now, Belver was making an enormous effort not to offend her.

Bellatrix closed her eyes momentarily, saying nothing to the cowering Belver.

The first daughter of a noble family finding herself in a mere commoner's body must have all sorts of thoughts.

Then she suddenly opened her eyes and faced Belver.

"I've decided. I rather like this body and situation, so I'll let it slide."

"What...?"

"It's not like you did this anyway, right? Or did you?"

"No! I really don't know anything!"

"That's what I thought. Then for now, let's keep the switch a secret. Commoner. Think you can live as me?"

"Um... I'll try?"

Belver couldn't distinguish if this situation was a dream or reality.

To be having such a gentle conversation with the great Bellatrix.

He hadn't even considered it as a possibility.

This was incredibly fortunate for Belver.

Though his body had become Bellatrix's, at least he was still alive.

Now, the question was how to reach a happy ending, but Belver's thoughts hadn't reached that far yet.

How could he think about future matters when he couldn't even understand the current situation?

He was too scared to even ask for clarification of her words.

He could only worry about it in his head.

Belver couldn't understand at all why she liked this situation.

A noble lady entering the body of a lowly commoner.

Moreover, not even the same gender, but the opposite sex.

And she didn't even know this was the protagonist's body with the greatest talent.

"If it was something you could do with effort, I wouldn't have asked. Do you know how much of a promising talent I am? Or are commoners unaware of that?"

"I do know..."

"If you know, then do well. It's a difficulty you couldn't even imagine. I'll specially help you out. Since we might switch back at any moment, I need to maintain my image."

"Can I ask just one thing?"

"What is it?"

Belver gained some confidence.

The confidence that he wouldn't die if he asked now.

This seemingly benevolent attitude was the source of his confidence.

Though it would be sad if he was wrong.

"Why do you like it...?"

"Don't you? You've become the noble me, whom you could never even hope to reach in your lifetime?"

"But Bellatrix, you're a woman. I'm a man... We're fundamentally different..."

"But I like it! I'm finding this incredibly fascinating and fun. I like the face, and the height is pleasantly tall. Looking at my body like this, I realize how small I am."

Though the exact reason was unclear, Bellatrix was definitely enjoying the change.

She wouldn't be smiling like that if she wasn't enjoying it.

The Bellatrix he knew definitely wasn't the type to smile much.

"There's something wrong with you, Bellatrix! And stop patting!"

"I don't want to?"

Belver shrieked and tried to push away the hand resting on his head as if mocking his decreased height.

Though it was clearly his body, it felt like looking at a completely different person.

How different it could be depending on who was inside.

The fascination was short-lived.

With Bellatrix constantly putting her hand on his head, no matter how much Belver pushed it away, he couldn't maintain his fascination.

The difference in strength between Bellatrix's body as a mage and noble lady and Belver's body as an aspiring knight and commoner was like heaven and earth.

No matter how much he pushed, it was like trying to block the sky with his palm.

Sniff When it wouldn't end, no matter what he did, tears welled up in Belver's eyes.

His body reacted before his mind could process how unfair it felt.

Even he only realized he was crying when he heard his own sniffling, having been busy trying to block her hand without realizing tears were forming.

Once he realized it, his mind processed everything in rapid succession.

The tears that had just been welling up suddenly streamed down his white cheeks.

And when they reached his mouth, they made him speak words that crawled up from his instincts.

"Stop it! I'll hate you!"

This was the harshest thing Belver knew how to say.

Normally, he wouldn't even say this much, but he couldn't control himself after experiencing several drastic changes in the span of just a week.

After shouting, he cried so pitifully that even Bellatrix was too flustered to do anything.

"Are you crying? Really crying...? Be good...? Our commoner...? Stop crying...? What am I supposed to do when you suddenly start crying! I'm sorry! I'm really sorry!"

Bellatrix, who had tried to comfort him based on something she'd vaguely seen somewhere, quickly reluctantly abandoned the attempt.

It seemed like it would only make things worse.

So she apologized to try to diffuse the situation.

It was sincere, without even thoughts like 'to think I have to apologize to a commoner' because the situation was completely unexpected.

Moreover, it was harder to treat roughly because it was the body she'd lived in for 20 years.

Though the appearance was exactly the same because it was her body, Belver's uniquely innocent atmosphere made it feel like she had gained an identical twin or friend.

When someone like that suddenly started crying pitifully and even made cute threats about hating her, she couldn't help but apologize.

Still, with Belver's tears not stopping, Bellatrix waited for him to calm down.

Surely, they would stop eventually.

***

Fortunately, Belver's burst of sadness calmed down quickly.

Perhaps it was because he was in Bellatrix's brilliant body, but his situation assessment was too good.

He couldn't help but calm down seeing her flustering before him.

It was such an unexpected sight.

"Have you calmed down now?"

Nod Belver nodded his head instead of answering.

The problem was that different emotions came flooding out after calming down instead of sadness.

It was so hot that he could tell the state of his face without looking in a mirror.

His ears must surely be red, too.

Why had he burst into tears like that?

Even Belver himself didn't know why.

He just cried because he felt wronged.

Though he knew himself to rarely cry.

"Now let's talk calmly. Can you use magic? Ah, are you perhaps aspiring to be a knight? Or a warrior?"

"I was aspiring to be a knight... But I have talent in magic too..."

"What? What attribute? More importantly, if you have talent in magic, why aspire to be a knight?"

"Because I have talent in weapon arts too... As for attributes, it's all of them..."

While speaking, Belver fidgeted with his fingers.

Though it wasn't his body now, it felt like he was bragging about himself.

The more he spoke, the more embarrassed yet proud he felt, his shoulders straightening.

But what could he do when she asked?

He had to answer clearly.

Come to think of it, wouldn't this be good for Bellatrix, whose trigger for corruption had been the difference in birth?

Though she'd have to start over from the beginning, it was a path she'd already walked once, and with the body's performance being different, she'd quickly find her original position.

"Don't say such nonsense. At least make your lies believable."

"But it's true..."

"You want me to believe you when not a single circuit is developed to an unbelievable degree? In this state, it would take a month just to sense magical power."

"We could try it..."

"Listen without getting hurt because this is reality. You probably don't know because you can't use magic, but with a body like this, it's difficult to even sense magical power."

Bellatrix spoke as gently as possible to avoid making him cry again like before.

Even though she had been educated from childhood and taken elixirs to train her circuits in advance, she took three weeks to sense magical power when she started studying magic.

Even that was evaluated as incredible talent.

With circuits this cracked and barren, looking like not even a blade of grass could grow, it might not be possible to sense magical power.

"Just try once...!"

Despite Bellatrix's quite gentle explanation, Belver was confident.

He was certain that if Bellatrix's experience combined with Belver's talent, they could sense magical power in less than a day.

In game terms, his body was like a late-blooming character, with minimum initial stats but everything invested in growth and breakthrough limits.

Such a character now had Bellatrix, a top-tier character ranked in the top 10, though not first, inside it.

He believed without doubt that it would definitely succeed.

"Fine. Just once. Don't touch me while I'm concentrating."

"Okay."

Unable to resist Belver's persistence, Bellatrix agreed to try searching for magical power just once.

She needed to somehow find the tiny amount of magical power in the body, which was so small it couldn't be sensed without extreme concentration, and place it in the circuits.

Recalling memories from her distant childhood, she tried to recreate that sensation.

And not long after, her eyes flew open.

"How did this work already...?"

"I told you it would work! Didn't I say so!"

Bellatrix forgot to answer Belver as she recalled the sensation she had just felt.

When she tried to find magical power, the power in her body clung to her as if it had been waiting.

Moreover, despite not having learned any cultivation methods, the amount far surpassed that of an average mage.

She couldn't hear anything as Belver bragged about his body.

Because right now, in her eyes, he looked like a blessing.

A blessing that had instantly healed her pain.

She liked being able to treat him comfortably even before learning about Belver's talent, but now she wanted to cherish him even more.

However, instead of showing it, she substituted this feeling with light teasing.

"You know what? Aren't you more feminine than me?"

"Wh-what...?"

"I can't sit as elegantly as you do. I can't speak as gently, either. You'd make a good mother."

"I'm a man!"

"But right now, you're a woman?"

"That's...! Anyway, I'm a man!"

"Okay, okay."

Belver felt like he would die of indignation.

He was certain he was a man but was being denied to his face.

To be told he was more womanly than someone who had lived as a woman her whole life!

That tone of voice clearly showed she didn't believe him at all.

Belver vowed to either find a way to return to his original body or make Bellatrix acknowledge that he was a man.
