The Immortal Wife Is Like A Cloud

Chapter 714 - Need Help

Chapter 714 – Need Help

Inside Divine Capital, the battlefield had fallen eerily silent, except for the relentless bursts of energy that continued to ripple through the area.

The palaces that had once emitted such terrifying auras – and the self-proclaimed king of the Ancient Demon Kingdom – had only moments ago exuded unimaginable power.

Yet, in the very first clash, Bai Suzhen seemed poised to eliminate his trusted lieutenants.

The forces gathered behind Su Jingzhen and Yan Xia stood stunned, unable to process what they had just witnessed.

The presence of the demonic figure alone had nearly crushed their spirits. They had prepared themselves for a brutal confrontation, only to see Bai Suzhen overwhelm her opponent with a single blow.

It shattered their understanding of what was possible.

At the same time, their emotions towards Su Jingzhen shifted – some in awe, some in envy – elevating him in their minds to a previously unimaginable level.

“This… is the power of a tenth-level or even eleventh-level demon beast?”

“So powerful! Maybe, just maybe, thanks to Su Jingzhen’s contracted beast, we’ll escape this nightmare after all!”

Their initial shock soon gave way to fervent chatter.

Even Yan Xia could feel the excitement rising in her chest. However, her joy faded the moment she noticed Su Jingzhen’s solemn expression.

“What is it? Did you sense something?” Yan Xia asked, her voice filled with concern.

Su Jingzhen shook his head, his tone serious.

“When we fought Si Nan before, you saw how difficult it was. Did it seem as easy as this?”

He looked at the magnificent palaces in the heart of Divine Capital.

“This place is the core of the Divine Kingdom – the main stronghold of the Ancient Demon Kingdom. You can guess what kind of monsters are lurking here.”

“Even though Suzhen has the Pearl of the Four Symbols, she’s only recently obtained it. This battle… might not go as smoothly as we hope.”

Su Jingzhen was neither a pessimist nor a blind optimist. He wasn’t naive enough to believe that Bai Suzhen could easily crush everything.

Just as his words were about to end, the figure that Bai Suzhen had pierced suddenly dissolved into an ethereal mist.

The swirling energy drifted towards the largest and most opulent palace in the center.

“Beast, I admit that you surprised me… but that’s all you’ve accomplished.”

The king’s voice resounded once more, filled with arrogance and contempt.

“This king will return soon. Neither you nor this world can stop me.

This land once bowed to my rule, and it will do so again.”

Bai Suzhen’s sapphire eyes gleamed with a flash of caution.

She made no verbal response, but the radiance from her scales surged once more. Each scale shimmered as Dao patterns emerged from their depths.

The runes floated upward, converging into a glowing blue and white sphere above her head – one that Su Jingzhen and the others instantly recognized.

In the void, a colossal phantom sword materialized and slashed at two of the smaller palaces nearby.

Bai Suzhen was fully aware that the Ancient Demon King was deliberately stalling them.

The fact that he had yet to make a direct move indicated that he was still in the middle of some critical process – and she had no intention of giving him time to complete it.

At this point, the Ancient Demon King was still trapped in his central palace, unable to make an immediate appearance or launch a counterattack.

If he could act freely, he wouldn’t have needed to set up a city protection formation to lure the cultivators below the Unity Realm to Divine Capital.

“You are courting death! When this king emerges, I will grind your bones into dust!” The king’s voice seethed with anger and murderous intent.

Suddenly, two explosive booms echoed across the battlefield as the two smaller palaces crumbled just like the first.

Two massive figures emerged from the ruins, exuding a ferocious, chaotic demonic aura. However, unlike before, these two didn’t bother to speak or attack Bai Suzhen directly.

The moment their palaces were destroyed, the figures retreated towards the central royal palace without hesitation.

“Just wait. Everyone who enters my Ancient Demon Kingdom will become fuel for my resurrection!” The king’s ominous words echoed through the air.

As if in response to his declaration, the last palace erupted with a bright crimson glow.

This time, the palace was surrounded by four illusory beasts – the Four Symbols. However, these avatars were much more tangible and imposing than the ones Si Nan had summoned earlier. Their overwhelming presence rippled through the area.

Bai Suzhen’s colossal serpent form, stretching thousands of meters long, glinted with a flicker of shadow in her sapphire-blue eyes.

She wasn’t afraid of the Ancient Demon King himself – she was afraid of him hiding in his shell like a turtle.

Meanwhile, the breach in Divine Capital’s protective formation remained open. Cultivators under the Unity Realm continued to pour in, unknowingly heading toward danger.

The strange force affecting the Sea of Consciousness, which had already begun to affect Su Jingzhen and his companions, grew stronger and spread through the city like a flood.

Everyone who entered Divine Capital was immediately subjected to this strange force.

Their minds were seized the moment they crossed the threshold, pulled into the palaces floating in the void, where they perished and dissolved into clouds of blood mist, just like those before them.

Without further thought, Bai Suzhen strengthened the energy shield protecting Su Jingzhen and the others.

Then, her massive form glided forward toward the central palace.

This time, she abandoned her previous techniques – the Dao Sword and the Energy Orb.

Instead, she unleashed the full power of her huge white python form, swinging her tail with brutal force at the shield surrounding the palace.

“Boom!”

The impact echoed through the ruined city as violent energy erupted in every direction.

The sheer force of her blow obliterated Divine Capital’s streets and structures, reducing the great metropolis to dust and rubble in an instant.

A magnificent city, now nothing more than a pile of ruins.

However, Su Jingzhen’s attention was not on the destruction surrounding them.

His gaze remained fixed on the palace, watching intently for any changes.

To Su Jingzhen’s dismay, even though Bai Suzhen had resorted to close combat, smashing her colossal form against the energy shield, the barrier surrounding the central palace remained intact.

What was even more frightening was that the energy ripples generated by her attacks were absorbed by the four symbols surrounding the palace, strengthening their power instead of weakening the shield.

“Little Green, I know you can sense what’s going on outside.

Right now, I need your help. I need the seventh leaf to sprout as soon as possible.”

Inside the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, Su Jingzhen’s consciousness projected directly into the space of the Spiritual Source and communicated with Little Green.

The old saying goes, “A wise man does not stand under a collapsing wall”. Now that Su Jingzhen was standing on the brink of danger, he knew that he had to do everything in his power to survive.

His trump cards were running out. The only resources he could rely on now were the powers of the Fire Dragon and the Ice Phoenix within the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Even if he put all of his remaining points into improving his cultivation, it wouldn’t make much difference in today’s dire situation.

As for Xue Qianlong, who remained in a deep sleep in the spiritual spring, she hadn’t stirred once in all that time.

Given her current state, it seemed unlikely that she would wake up anytime soon, let alone be able to help him.

As his words fell silent, a ripple spread across the leaf of Little Green within the Spiritual Spring.

However, it wasn’t the usual increase in permissions for the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Instead, it granted him a unique and extraordinary ability.

Su Jingzhen’s heart stirred as he felt the change.

It wasn’t just raw power or cultivation enhancement – it felt like a new kind of authority, one that could potentially rewrite the rules of the battle unfolding outside.

A glimmer of hope flickered in his mind.

Could this ability be the key to breaking through the barrier of the four symbols and turning the tide?

Time was of the essence. If he hesitated any longer, the Ancient Demon King might complete his resurrection, and everything would spiral out of control.

Su Jingzhen steadied his concentration and prepared to unleash this new ability at the most critical moment. He could only hope that Bai Suzhen could hold the line a little longer.
