Chapter 446: The Gordons Clan Again!
The two streaks of light that followed behind the Third Elder were Draco and the Fifth Elder, whose name was Axel.
The patriarch had ordered them to provide backup to him, as he was unwilling to let the recently healed Third elder enter a Blood Moon battle alone.
As the third elder crossed the city gates and stepped onto the battlefield, he was taken aback by the scene before him.
The human mages were losing terribly; and it seemed as if they were merely playing a game of survival, desperately hoping for the Blood Moon to wane so they could find respite.
There was no real offensive push— only the city guard's mages were actively countering the goblin onslaught.
Observing the struggle of the low rank mages, he realized that even if they managed to survive the Blood Moon with their current tactics, their future was bleak.
As if they continued to suffer heavy casualties in each encounter with the goblins, there would come a point when they wouldn't be able to defend themselves due to their diminished numbers.
And when that time arrived, the only fate awaiting them would be death, so he took a swig from his gourd, reminiscing about the times when Alec had dominated the low rank battlefield, leading the Gordons clansmen with his exceptional wit.
The Third Elder admired Alec's intelligence, and thoughts of Alec led him to ponder about Arthur, his grandson.
"I wonder how that boy is faring, well, whatever the case, he won't disappoint the third branch of the Gordon clan, for now, let me prevent these mages from dying; after all, they'll still be needed to safeguard the city," he mused.
The Third Elder tossed his wine gourd backward as he prepared for battle.
The gourd landed neatly in the hands of Draco, who, along with the Fifth Elder, had finally caught up to the third elder.
It seemed as though the Third elder had anticipated their arrival, and without hesitation or plan, he charged into the Tier 6 battle.
As despite the goblins outnumbering the humans and also the presence of three formidable hobgoblins, he remained unfazed by their line up.
With his golden naginata materializing in hand, he swung the blade horizontally.
A long golden Qi slash swept through three charging goblins, cleaving their bodies in two.
Their eyes, wide with horror, as they could not comprehend how they had been slain so swiftly, unable to mount any defense against the casual yet deadly strike from a mage that shared the same realm as them.
"Go in peace, knowing you have fallen to a worthy mage!" The Third Elder smirked as he advanced.
The goblins quickly recognized the new threat; and about seven of them broke off from the main group and began moving toward him.
The city's guardian leader, who was commanding the battle, sighed in relief as two of the goblins that had been engaging him were now drawn to the Third Elder.
He had been contending with three goblins, a daunting task since they were often outnumbered by the goblins so they were forced to battle multiple goblins of equal strength to survive.
As the leader of the city lord forces in this Blood Moon war, he had initially faced four goblins.
However, when the battle started through sheer force and executing powerful moves from the outset, he had managed to slay one of them, before they could comprehend what was happening.
But eve since then he had become a punching bag for the remaining three goblins.
As his power outburst was no longer a threat to all three of them, as it reduced after his shenanigans.
So the goblins took their time wearing him down and slicing him, but his resilience and great defense prevented him from joining the list of mages the goblins had killed that day.
However, his body was still covered in injuries, so he felt grateful when he realized the person who came to his aid was from the Gordons Clan, who they have all given up hope on.
Bang!!
Suddenly, there was a loud explosion as the third elder's strike tore through space.
This caused a small distortion as he swung his weapon, directing the fragments of space towards the Tier
6 goblins coming for him.
Despite being Tier 6 mages, the goblins found themselves in danger when they came into contact with the rushing space fragments.
Three of them met their demise as the space blade pierced vital areas – one was hit in the heart, and the other two in their heads.
The rest suffered severe injuries after surviving the third elder's attack.
They stared at him in shock, as they were certain that no mid tier mage was capable of breaking space.
As Inside those broken spaces were where high rank fights took place to avoid affecting others in a large battlefield.
Even Draco and the Fifth Elder Axel were astonished at his outburst.
"Are you sure he is not already a Tier 7 Mage?, His power outburst seems to have reached the Tier 7 Mage Realm," Draco asked.
"No, the monster is still accumulating pressure!" The Fifth Elder exclaimed as they both stared at the third Elder, whose body was being covered by his golden golem slowly.
Within seconds, he was completely covered and now resembled some sort of armoured Iron Man in golden armor.
As earth mana was forcefully drawn towards him, causing a massive whirlpool of energy to rotate above him.
This phenomenon halted the ongoing war, as the leading Hobgoblin warned,
"He is about to step into the Tier 7 Mage Realm! Run!"
The Hobgoblins knew they stood no chance against the third Elder now, however, the third Elder had no intention of letting them escape.
He had expressed his desire to unleash his power, and since it happened to be a blood moon night, he made a promise to announce his new realm using the blood of the goblins.
So he Charged towards the retreating Tier 6 goblins who were attempting to flee through the space gates, neither he nor the other mages paid any attention to the remaining goblin army trying to make their way into the space gate.
They simply watched in anticipation of the punishment he would deliver.
With just one swing, he eliminated any Tier 6 goblin he caught.
This was how he massacred the highest battle power of the goblins, his golden armor drenched in their blood.
Although the war had technically ended even before the end of the Blood Moon since the rest of the goblin army fled back into the space gate, he was still unsatisfied.
As he let out a roar towards the skies, weapon in hand, as he spun his weapon before launching an attack into the heavens.
And, as if in response to his declaration, the weather began to change, signalling the beginning of his breakthrough to Tier 7.
All across the Estonia city, the prominent clans and families watched the signs of his breakthrough from their clan houses.
"It's a member of the Gordons clan again, It appears they have chosen not to stay silent any longer after a period of calm, cease all operations near areas under their control," ordered the patriarch of the Raiza Clan.
Not only the Raiza Clan, but other clans with strained relationships with the Gordons clan decided to avoid crossing paths with them at the moment.
