The God of Ice and Fire at Hogwarts

Chapter 191: The couple has a good understanding

As Irina looked at the child's body in front of her, she instinctively took two steps back, feeling a bit lost.

But soon, she focused, waved her wand, and shouted, "How funny!"

There was a sharp sound, and the body of "Lynn" vanished from the ground, replaced by a child with wolf ears—"Lynn"—with a long, fluffy tail, wolf ears on his head, and his fingernails turned into long claws.

Seeing this, Irina's concerns immediately disappeared. She quickly took out the camera and pressed the shutter, capturing the image of the wolf-eared "Lynn" in front of her.

After taking the photo, Irina hid the camera in her backpack so quickly that it almost left a trailing afterimage.

However, the scene where Irina secretly took photos still caught Professor Lupin's attention.

Seeing this familiar sight, the corners of Professor Lupin's mouth twitched slightly.

If it weren't for the fact that, as a teacher, it was inappropriate to say such things, he would have been unable to resist commenting, "The young couple really understands each other, don't they?"

Irina was the second-to-last of the young witches and wizards to face the Boggart in the professor's office, with Harry being the last to face it.

However, before the Boggart could take the form Harry feared, Professor Lupin stepped aside and cast a spell to force the Boggart back, locking it back into the wardrobe.

Harry felt a bit disappointed that he didn't get the chance to practice.

"Perhaps Professor Lupin is worried that your greatest fear is Voldemort. After all, we young wizards shouldn't be seeing Voldemort right now," Irina said, clearly relieved.

The weekend arrived.

Throughout this week's practice, Lynn and Irina had been able to talk, eat, wash, and speak normally while holding the golden leaves in their mouths. The leaves caused little disruption to their daily lives.

"Lynn, I have the only mandrake leaf we need for the Animagus training."

Irina carefully pulled out two individual mandrake leaves she had asked Professor Sprout for the day before.

Lynn took one of the leaves and smiled, "It just so happens that tonight is a full moon. Tonight we'll start holding the mandrake leaf and wait for the next full moon before we take it out."

After saying this, Lynn placed the single mandrake leaf in his mouth.

Suddenly, a strong bitter sensation spread through his mouth. The bitter, sharp taste made Lynn nearly spit it out.

After forcefully suppressing the urge to spit out the leaf, Lynn's face contorted in pain.

Irina, on the other hand, looked very different. The bitter taste of the mandrake leaf made her facial features almost distort.

After a while, both calmed down.

"This single mandrake leaf is really..." Irina said, speechless.

Lynn shrugged, indicating he didn't want to talk about it.

Holding a single mandrake leaf in the mouth for even a short time was already uncomfortable, and they could only imagine how painful the next month of their lives would be.

At least, at least their taste buds would no longer want it.

It wasn't so bad for Lynn, but for Irina, who loved food, losing the sense of taste was very sad.

Fortunately, the two had been practicing with the alchemical leaves for a while in recent days. Otherwise, with the dual effect of the foreign body sensation and the bitterness in their mouths, they were uncertain whether they would be able to speak normally the next day.

"When I think about having to keep it in my mouth for the next month, I suddenly feel desperate..." Irina said sadly.

The next morning.

When Lynn was about to go to Hogsmeade Village through the secret passage to buy a batch of alchemical materials, Irwin stopped him with a strange expression.

"Lynn, Professor Dumbledore wants to speak with you," Irwin said to Lynn.

Hearing this, Lynn was stunned. Dumbledore was looking for him?!

Had the fact that he formed a small group to win over Irwin been discovered? But that couldn't be it. Not to mention that his purpose was to deal with Voldemort. They hadn't done much in the past few days. It was impossible for Dumbledore to have found out about this.

But what else could it be?

Lynn was confused as he made his way to Dumbledore's office. When he arrived at the door, before Lynn could take out his list and ask for instructions, the stone statue of the entrance moved aside, allowing Lynn to enter Dumbledore's office.

"Is this the little and talented Slytherin wizard you were talking about, Albus?"

At that moment, the portraits of the previous headmasters in the office were still awake, and the former headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black, known as the most unpopular headmaster, looked at Lynn with curiosity.

Former Hogwarts headmaster Phineas Black was infamous for his strict school rules, which made many young wizards dislike him.

However, the little Slytherin wizard was an exception.

Just like Professor Severus Snape, Phineas Black also had a great fondness for Slytherin. So, when Phineas Black learned from Dumbledore that a talent like Lynn existed, his curiosity was piqued when he saw the young and talented Slytherin wizard.

"Yes, Phineas, his name is Lynn," said Dumbledore cheerfully from behind the headmaster's desk.

After seeing the portraits looking at him with curiosity, Lynn immediately bowed and greeted them: "Lynn has met all the headmasters."

Phineas Black laughed heartily and said, "Well, well, as expected from the little Slytherin wizard, you know proper etiquette!"

After greeting all the former headmasters, Lynn turned to Dumbledore with some confusion and asked, "Professor Dumbledore, why did you call me here?"

Judging by the attitude of the portraits and Dumbledore's cheerful expression, it seemed that Dumbledore was not looking for him because of forming a small group of his own.

Otherwise, Dumbledore's attitude would have been more serious, not so cheerful.

Indeed, Dumbledore smiled and said to Lynn, "Lynn, at the end of last school year, I turned down your request to learn Fiendfyre. After giving it some thought, I realized that I was too hasty."

Lynn thought to himself that he was overthinking it and asked, "Professor, do you mean you plan to teach me Fiendfyre?"

Although Lynn had already learned Fiendfyre, he would still be happy if Dumbledore was willing to teach him. After all, the power of Fiendfyre, which was a powerful and destructive fire spell, could potentially be useful in dealing with dark magic.

Dumbledore shook his head and said, "No, I said that as a professor at Hogwarts, I would never teach my students dark magic. However, I also agree that you should have the ability to protect yourself and those around you. Therefore, I plan to teach you a spell that is no weaker than Fiendfyre and can destroy Horcruxes!"
