In the next half-month, Lynn tested various techniques for using Fiendfyre. He successfully transformed Fiendfyre into the forms of wild wolves, lions, eagles, cheetahs, and other wild beasts. Fiendfyre actually possessed the characteristics of these beasts.

For example, Fiendfyre in the form of a wild wolf had the ability to tear apart magical power with its fiery claws!

If Fiendfyre in the form of a wild wolf were allowed to attack a wizard who had cast the Protego spell, Fiendfyre in the form of a wild wolf could directly break through the Protego shield with a swipe of its claws and consume the magical power contained in the Protego spell itself.
