The Forgotten Dream Maker

Chapter 3: The Gateway of Forgotten Dreams

**

After deciding to take a break, Youssef tried to return to his normal life. But he couldn't get those shadows out of his mind. They appeared in his own dreams, whispering cryptic words, as if warning him of something. He tried to ignore them, but they became clearer every night.

One night, as Youssef was trying to sleep, he heard a knock on the shop's door. Startled, he wondered who could be there at such a late hour. He went to the door and opened it hesitantly, only to find a strange woman standing on the threshold. She wore a black cloak, and her eyes seemed to hold many secrets.

The woman said, "I know what you're doing, Youssef. And I'm here to help you."

Youssef felt both confused and afraid. He asked her, "Who are you? How do you know about me?"

The woman smiled and said, "My name is Layla, and I'm like you... I can enter dreams. But I know more than you do."

Youssef invited her inside, and Layla began to tell him about the dream world he was discovering. She explained that there was a parallel world of dreams, a world filled with secrets and hidden powers. But this world was threatened by an evil force seeking to control human dreams and, consequently, their minds in the real world.

Layla said, "You're not just someone who can enter dreams, Youssef. You're a 'Dream Maker,' someone with the power to fix broken dreams and protect people from nightmares. But this power comes with great responsibility."

Youssef felt the weight on his shoulders. He asked her, "What should I do?"

Layla replied, "You need to learn how to control your ability. There's a gateway in the dream world, a gateway that leads to a place where you can learn everything you need to know. But the path there is dangerous, and the shadows you've been seeing are just the beginning."

Youssef decided to follow Layla into the dream world. He placed his hand on the television screen and entered with her into a new place. This time, they found themselves in a vast valley surrounded by towering mountains. In the middle of the valley stood a massive gate, made of black stone and adorned with strange symbols.

Layla said, "This is the Gateway of Forgotten Dreams. Beyond it, you'll find the answers you're looking for."

Youssef approached the gate and felt a strange energy emanating from it. He placed his hand on the gate, and suddenly, it opened wide. Inside the gate was a dark passage that seemed to have no end.

Layla said, "This is your path. But be careful, the shadows won't let you pass easily."

Youssef and Layla began walking down the passage. The air was cold, and the lights were dim. After a while, they started hearing whispers around them. The shadows were moving on the walls, as if trying to stop them.

Suddenly, a group of large shadows appeared, surrounding them from all sides. One of the shadows said, "You cannot pass. This world is not for you."

Youssef said, "I'm just searching for the truth."

The shadow laughed and said, "The truth will destroy you."

The shadows began advancing toward them, and Youssef felt fear. But Layla stood by his side and said, "Use your power, Youssef. You're stronger than you think."

Youssef closed his eyes and tried to imagine something powerful. Suddenly, a circle of light appeared around him and Layla, pushing the shadows away. The shadows screamed and began to retreat.

Layla said, "That's it! You're learning."

They continued walking until they reached a large room filled with ancient books and strange maps. In the center of the room, a person sat on a chair, wearing a white robe and holding a scepter.

The person said, "Welcome, Youssef. I've been waiting for you."

Youssef asked, "Who are you?"

The man replied, "I am the Keeper of Knowledge. And I'm here to teach you how to use your power."

The Keeper began to explain to Youssef the history of Dream Makers, how they had protected humanity from evil forces seeking to control dreams. He told him that the shadows he had been seeing were part of an evil force called "The Eternal Darkness," which sought to destroy the dream world and control human minds.

The Keeper said, "You must learn to control your power, or the Eternal Darkness will prevail."

Youssef began to learn how to use his power more effectively. He learned how to create shields of light and how to permanently fix broken dreams. But he also learned that every use of his power came with a price and that he had to be careful.

After some time of training, the Keeper said to Youssef, "You're ready now. But your journey isn't over yet. You must face the Eternal Darkness and stop its plans."

Youssef felt confident, but he also felt fear. He asked the Keeper, "How can I face it?"

The Keeper replied, "You must find its heart in the dream world. Only there can you defeat it."

Youssef and Layla left the room and returned to the dark passage. This time, they knew the path would be even more difficult. But Youssef was ready to face the challenge.

They began walking down the passage, and every step brought them closer to the final confrontation. But they didn't know that the Eternal Darkness was watching them and preparing to face them.

At the end of the passage, they found themselves in a dark place, filled with fog and frightening sounds. In the center of the place was a black throne, and on it sat a figure wearing a black robe with glowing red eyes.

The Eternal Darkness said, "Finally, you've arrived. I knew you would come."

Youssef said, "You won't destroy this world. I'll stop you."

The Eternal Darkness laughed and said, "You're just a little Dream Maker. What do you think you can do?"

The battle began. Youssef used everything he had learned, but the Eternal Darkness was powerful. Youssef began to feel tired, but he remembered the Keeper's words: "You're stronger than you think."

Youssef gathered all his energy and created a large circle of light around him. The circle began pushing the Eternal Darkness away until it disappeared into the darkness.

After the battle ended, Youssef felt exhausted. But he knew the fight wasn't over yet. The Eternal Darkness was still out there, and he would have to face it again.

Youssef and Layla returned to the shop, knowing that their journey wasn't over. They had to prepare for the final confrontation and protect the dream world from the evil forces.

But Youssef knew he wasn't alone anymore. He had Layla, and he had the knowledge he needed. And he knew he had to keep fighting, no matter the cost.
