The Dungeon Conquerors: Journey to the Peak

Chapter 310: Ch 313: Ancient Ruin

After leaving the city, Rein started flying toward the south at high speed. The area where the people of this organisation went to activate the special book was located in a faraway location. It was actually an old ruin which was also the place from where they had found the books.

Rein was now not only interested in the book but also about the ruin itself. According to the man he had interrogated, this ruin was something that no one else except for their organisation had found. So if this ruin could have something as valuable as these books, he was sure that there would be other valuable items that this group of mages had not managed to find.

For that reason, he flew at full speed. He had already sent most of his materials and the books to the ladies. He did this firstly to tell them about the situation and secondly to ask for their help in studying the books. He also had a third reason which was to make his storage unit a little bit empty so that he would be able to carry the treasures from the ruin.

...

The ruin was located in the the underground area of a mountain. After reaching the area, Rein guessed that this place was above the ground when it was created but most probably because of a large scale landslide, that place had now turned into an underground ruin.

Rein could not surely guess what this place was used for without investigating a bit more so he did just that, while going toward the location where the activation of the book was happening.

After investigating the place a little bit, Rein was able to quickly realise what this place actually was. Several centuries ago, an extremely powerful evil organisation called "Order of Ramna" was creating chaos in various nations. This organisation was not a small gang like the one Rein was facing but was a powerful organisation led by a magus.

So even for a while nation, getting rid of them was extremely hard. Some of the nations did not even have a magus in their rank and those nations were weaker than the organisation and were under the threat of getting destroyed all the time.

As that time, the threat of this organisation was so big that powerful maguses from various nations joined together to attack the Order of Ramna and destroyed them. The magus was also surrounded and killed. This whole process took several years, but with many maguses working together, the job was done.

Even though the organisation itself was no more, various facilities they had used in their heyday were still there. Those places also had various evil items and would still create trouble for the nations even after hundreds of years.

The emblem of the Order of Ramna was a Crow pierced by a trident. Rein saw that emblem on many places of the area. That was how he was able to understand the origin of this place.

Now the books also made sense to Rein. Those were definitely powerful and evil items. So a powerful and evil organisation like the order of Ramna would be the source of it. And knowing this would also help Rein to find the remaining volumes.

After analysing the book and seeing this ruin, Rein guessed that this book was either created by the deceased magus of the order or by an extremely talented rank 5 mage who was very close to achieving magushood.

Even for a large nation like Magical Kingdom of Gilthar, magus rank artifacts were extremely rare. So even though Rein had no intention of using this evil artifact for himself, he did wanted to sell it to one of the maguses for a favour, which was also extremely valuable.

...

So without wasting his time, Rein immediately went deeper into the ruin. He had no intention of showing mercy to anyone here and after retrieving the book, he was planning to continue exploring the ruin for some time.

With his spatial sense, Rein found that this ruin was quite large. There were also many more rooms and area hidden behind rabbles and dust. If he was lucky, there was a high chance that he would be able to find all the remaining volumes here.

The exploration of the ruin was definitely going to take some time. So Rein did not wanted to waste any more time on this organisation. So he increased his speed and soon reached the area where all the other rank 2 mages were.

Inside one of the rooms of the ruin, Rein saw that four people were surrounding a pool of liquid. Rein was already aware of the function of this pool so he did not waste any time and immediately attacked the four mages. Obviously they were no match for a rank 5 mage like Rein and as he used the void element, they all died without even realising what had actually happened.

Then Rein went in and picked up the book from the pool. The book was releasing very faint amount of special mana indicating that it was still not completely activated. But Rein did not put it back to the pool.

These rank 2 mages needed to use this pool and various rank 3 materials to activate this book because they were not strong enough. This type of activation was also a little useless for Rein as it only allowed the books to release a limited amount of power. So Rein was planning to fully activate them on his own after collecting all the books.

...

After getting done with the organisation, Rein send to message to his two lovers to meet up in the ruin. Rein could explore it alone but that would not be as fun. So he was planning to explore it with his two little lovers. They would also be able to experience the fun of exploring a new place.

Obviously both of Lopas and Luna were extremely happy about this proposal. So immediately after getting Rein's message, they bid goodbye to the Dorsi family and went to the location mentioned by Rein. This was going to be their first experience in raiding a dungeon as the ruin was not much different from one.

So how would this sudden exploration be ?
