Chapter 6: chapter 6
Royalty's eyes widened in surprise. "That name sounds familiar, but where did you meet him?"
Eliana smiled mischievously. "I met him at the mall in City Center. He's got this bad-boy vibe going on, but he seemed really into me, so I played along."
Royalty raised an eyebrow. "I hope he's genuine, though."
Eliana shrugged. "Who knows? Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. But I'm going to enjoy the attention while it lasts, babes." She winked at Royalty.
Jason, who had been quietly playing in the corner, suddenly piped up. "Big sis, what's for dinner?"
Eliana thought for a moment. "How about spaghetti Bolognese?"
Royalty's face lit up. "Sounds amazing! I'll get started on that."
Eliana smiled. "Thanks, Royalty. You're a lifesaver."
Meanwhile, Spencer was thinking to himself, "I've got this in the bag. I got her number without even breaking a sweat. This is going to be a piece of cake."
At the second mansion, Layla was filling her mom in on the latest developments. "Mom, you won't believe what Spencer just told me. He got Eliana's number already!"
Lisa's eyes lit up with excitement. "That's fantastic news, sweetie! I knew Spencer was the right man for the job."
Eliana, oblivious to the schemes being hatched against her, was getting ready for her dinner date with Spencer. She thought to herself, "I've already made arrangements abroad. My parents always said to be prepared for anything. I just wish I could uncover the truth and get revenge, but first, I need to find a husband and secure my inheritance."
Spencer arrived at Eliana's mansion, looking suave and confident. "Hello, beautiful," he said, bowing slightly. "You look stunning tonight."
Eliana smiled politely, but her mind was racing. How did he know her address? She never gave it to him. Something didn't feel right.
