Chapter 50: chapter 50
Xavier and I spent a cozy day together at home, lounging around and enjoying each other's company. I decided to tackle some pending tasks and called Royalty to help me round up some loose ends in Sky City.
As I chatted with Royalty, I mentioned that I'd be heading back to Sky City in two days. Xavier, who was sitting beside me, suddenly wrapped his arms around me from behind, pulling me close.
"Elly, why do you have to go back to Sky City?" he whispered in my ear, his warm breath sending shivers down my spine. "Why don't you just stay here at the headquarters in Jai City with me?"
I smiled, feeling a flutter in my chest at his suggestion. I had to admit, the thought of staying in Jai City with Xavier was tempting. And besides, it would mean avoiding my stepmother and stepsister in Sky City, which was a definite bonus.
"Okay, fine," I said, turning to face him. "I'll stay in Jai City with you. But I still need to go back to Sky City for a day or two to take care of some things. Then I'll return to Jai City and we can spend more time together."
Xavier's face lit up with a bright smile, and he nodded enthusiastically. "Okay, Elly," he said, his voice filled with excitement. "I'll wait for you. Just promise me you'll be careful in Sky City, and that you'll come back to me soon."
I nodded, smiling, as Xavier's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I have a special night planned for us," he said, his voice low and husky. "There's a charity gala tonight, and I'd love for you to be my date."
I agreed, and Xavier swept me off to a luxurious boutique to find the perfect dinner gown. As we browsed through the racks, he insisted on finding me the most stunning dress in the store.
When we finally found "the one," I reached for my purse to pay, but Xavier gently stopped me. "You're only allowed to spend my money, babe," he whispered, his lips brushing against my ear. He handed his black credit card to the sales representative, who smiled knowingly.
Next, Xavier took me to a renowned makeup artist, who worked her magic to transform me into a glamorous goddess. As I gazed at my reflection, I barely recognized the stunning woman staring back at me.
Xavier's eyes met mine, and he smiled, his gaze filled with adoration. "You look breathtaking, Elly," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "Tonight is going to be unforgettable."
Xavier, dashing in his tailored tuxedo, which was already waiting for him in the car, swept me off to a luxurious hotel mere steps from the charity gala venue. As we stepped into the opulent lobby, he turned to me with a charming smile.
"We'll be staying here tonight, after the gala," he said, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
I watched, mesmerized, as he changed into his tuxedo, his sleek hair perfectly combed back, accentuating his chiseled features. He looked every inch the Greek god, and I couldn't help but stare.
Xavier chuckled, a knowing glint in his eye. "Close your mouth, babe, or you'll catch flies," he teased, his smile sending shivers down my spine.
I blushed, feeling a little self-conscious, but Xavier just laughed and took my hand, leading me out of the hotel room and into the glamorous night ahead.
As we arrived at the venue, Xavier's driver, a tall, imposing figure, stepped out of the car and opened the door for Xavier. Xavier emerged, looking every inch the debonair billionaire, and walked around to the other side of the car to open the door for me.
As I stepped out, a flurry of camera flashes almost blinded me, and I stumbled slightly. Xavier quickly grasped my hands, his grip firm and reassuring, and supported my steps as we walked towards the entrance of the hall.
The reporters swarmed around us, shouting out questions. "Xavier, is she your wife?" one of them asked. "Is this the new CEO of Damien Group of Companies?" another reporter chimed in.
Some of the reporters were more intrusive, asking personal questions like "When will you two start having babies?" Xavier's expression remained calm and composed, but I could sense a hint of irritation beneath the surface.
He replied to one of the reporters, "Yes, she is my wife," his voice firm and authoritative. After that, we walked into the hall without looking back, leaving the reporters and their questions behind.
As Xavier's words echoed in my mind, "Yes, she is my wife," my heart skipped a beat. The public declaration sent a rush of emotions through me. I felt a mix of surprise, gratitude and a hint of vulnerability.
Our contract marriage, initially intended as a strategic alliance, now seemed more personal than ever. I realized that I couldn't imagine leaving him for anyone else. The thought of leaving Xavier became unbearable.
I glanced up at him, and our eyes met. His gaze was warm and reassuring, filled with a deep affection. I smiled softly, and he squeezed my hand, his touch sending shivers down my spine.
In that moment, I knew that our arrangement had evolved into something more. I was falling deeply in love with Xavier, and I couldn't imagine a future without him.
As we mingled with the guests, I had the pleasure of meeting Xavier's colleagues, a talented group of actors who welcomed me with warm smiles. But amidst the laughter and conversation, I noticed a familiar face in the crowd - Alexander.
Xavier's eyes narrowed slightly as he caught sight of Alexander, his grip on my hand tightening. I sensed a sudden tension in his body, a subtle possessiveness that I hadn't seen before.
Without a word, Xavier expertly maneuvered us through the crowds, ensuring that Alexander remained out of sight. It was as if he was deliberately shielding me from his rival, making it clear that I was off-limits.
We exchanged pleasantries with a few more people, but I could sense Xavier's growing impatience. He leaned in close, his voice low and husky. "Shall we make our exit? I'd love to get you back to the hotel."
I nodded in agreement, and Xavier swiftly escorted me out of the gala, leaving the crowds and Alexander behind. As we stepped into the cool night air, I felt a thrill of excitement, sensing that the night was far from over.
As we drove back to the hotel, Xavier's arm remained wrapped around my waist, his fingers drumming a gentle rhythm on my hip. I felt a sense of comfort and security in his presence, and I couldn't help but lean into him.
When we arrived at the hotel, Xavier led me straight to the elevator, his eyes locked on mine as we rode up to our floor. As the doors opened, he swept me into his arms, carrying me into the room with a playful grin.
I laughed, feeling a little breathless as he set me down on the bed. Xavier's eyes sparkled with amusement as he began to unbutton his shirt, his movements slow and deliberate.
"I think it's time we got out of these formal clothes, don't you?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
I nodded, my heart racing with anticipation as Xavier's shirt fell to the floor, revealing his chiseled chest. He smiled, his eyes locked on mine, and began to walk towards me...
...his eyes burning with a fierce intensity that made my heart skip a beat. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair behind my ear.
"You look stunning tonight, Eliana," he whispered, his breath sending shivers down my neck. "But I think it's time we got you out of that dress."
I felt a flutter in my chest as Xavier's fingers grazed the zipper of my dress. He slowly began to undo it, his eyes locked on mine as the dress fell away, revealing the silk lingerie beneath.
Xavier's eyes widened in appreciation, and he let out a low whistle. "You're breathtaking, Eliana," he whispered, his voice full of reverence.
I felt a blush rise to my cheeks as Xavier's eyes roamed over me, taking in every curve and contour. But I didn't feel self-conscious or embarrassed. Instead, I felt a sense of freedom and empowerment, knowing that I was desired and appreciated by this beautiful man.
As Xavier's eyes met mine, I saw a spark of passion ignite within them. He took a step closer, his body inches from mine, and I could feel the heat emanating from him.
"Eliana," he whispered, his voice low and husky. "I want you. Now."
His words sent a shiver down my spine, and I felt my heart racing with anticipation. Xavier's eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire, and I knew that I was powerless to resist him.
Without another word, Xavier swept me into his arms, his lips crashing down on mine in a passionate kiss. I felt myself melting into his embrace, my body responding to his touch like a flame to gasoline.
As we kissed, Xavier's hands roamed over my body, his fingers tracing the curves of my waist and hips. I felt a surge of desire course through me, and I knew that I was ready to surrender to him completely.
Xavier seemed to sense my surrender, and he deepened the kiss, his tongue probing the depths of my mouth. I felt myself getting lost in the sensation, my body trembling with anticipation.
Suddenly, Xavier lifted me up, his arms wrapping around my waist as he carried me towards the bed. I felt a thrill of excitement as he laid me down, his body covering mine as he continued to kiss me passionately.
As we made love, I felt a sense of connection with Xavier that I had never felt before. It was as if our bodies were meant to be together, and I knew that I would never be able to let him go.
As we lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, I felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over me. Xavier's chest rose and fell with each breath, and I could feel the steady beat of his heart against my cheek.
I looked up at him, and our eyes met in a tender gaze. Xavier smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and I felt my heart skip a beat.
"I love you, Eliana," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the sound of his own heartbeat.
My heart swelled with emotion, and I felt tears prick at the corners of my eyes. "I love you too, Xavier," I replied, my voice trembling with emotion.
Xavier's arms tightened around me, holding me close as we basked in the warmth of our love. I knew in that moment that I would never let him go, that I would spend the rest of my life by his side.
As we drifted off to sleep, wrapped in each other's arms, I knew that our love would conquer all, no matter what challenges lay ahead.
