Chapter 45: chapter 45
Xavier's eyes sparkled with happiness as he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a deep kiss. I felt my towel slipping, but I quickly adjusted it, holding it in place.
As we kissed, I suddenly remembered that Jason was sleeping in the next room. I gently pushed Xavier away, my lips still tingling from the kiss.
"Xavier, we can't do this here," I whispered urgently. "Jason is sleeping, and we don't want to wake him up."
Xavier's eyes gleamed with mischief as he tried to kiss me again, but I stopped him, my hands on his chest.
"Okay, okay," he said with a chuckle. "Let me take you to my room instead."
I hesitated, feeling a pang of guilt. "I can't leave Jason here alone," I replied, shaking my head. "Xavier, please understand..."
"Elly, I have missed you," Xavier whispered, his eyes locked on mine. "Jason is in the other room, we'll be quiet, please."
I nodded in agreement, and Xavier swept me off my feet, carrying me to the other bed. As we settled in, our lips met in a tender kiss.
The world around us melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in the moment. Our passion grew, and we moved together, our hearts beating as one.
In that instant, nothing else mattered. We were lost in our love, our hearts filled with joy and desire.
The next morning, I woke up feeling a bit sore but utterly content. However, as I reached out to snuggle with Xavier, I realized he was nowhere to be found. I sat up, rubbing my eyes, and called out his name. There was no response.
I tossed off the covers and got out of bed, searching the room for any sign of Xavier or Jason. But they were both gone.
I took a quick shower, trying to shake off the feeling of unease. As I got dressed, I pulled out my phone and dialed Xavier's number.
"Babe, where are you?" I asked, trying to sound calm.
"We're in Elvis and Royalty's room," he replied, his voice low and husky.
"Okay, I'm coming," I said, already heading out the door.
As I made my way to Elvis and Royalty's room, I couldn't help but wonder what was going on. Why were Xavier and Jason in their room?
I knocked on the door, and Royalty's voice called out, "Come in!"
I pushed open the door and found myself in a lavish suite. Elvis and Royalty were lounging on a plush couch, while Xavier and Jason were seated in armchairs across from them.
"Hey, babe," Xavier said, standing up to greet me. "We were just having a little meeting."
I raised an eyebrow, curious. "A meeting? What's going on?"
Elvis smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "We're planning a little surprise for you, Elly. But you'll have to wait and see what it is."
I felt a thrill of excitement. What could they be planning? I looked at Xavier, but he just winked at me and pulled me down onto his lap.
As I sat on Xavier's lap, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. What could they be planning?
Royalty, who was sipping a cup of coffee, smiled at me. "Don't worry, Elly. You'll love it. We've been planning this for weeks."
Elvis nodded in agreement. "Yes, it's going to be epic. You're going to be the star of the show."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "The star of the show? What do you mean?"
Xavier chuckled and wrapped his arms around me. "You'll just have to wait and see, babe. But trust me, you're going to love it."
Jason, who had been quiet until now, spoke up. "Can we tell her a little bit, guys? I think she's dying of curiosity."
Elvis and Royalty exchanged a look, and then Elvis nodded. "Okay, fine. We'll give her a little hint. But just a little one."
Royalty grinned mischievously. "Let's just say that it involves a red carpet, a fancy dress, and a lot of paparazzi."
I gasped, my mind racing with possibilities. What could they be planning? A movie premiere? A fashion show? I looked at Xavier, but he just smiled and kissed me on the cheek, we are planning an engagement party.
As we sat in Elvis and Royalty's room, discussing the engagement party, I couldn't help but think about the recent drama with Alexander.
Xavier noticed my expression and took my hand. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked.
I sighed. "It's just...with all the news about Alexander and his claims about us, I'm worried that our engagement party will just add fuel to the fire."
Elvis and Royalty exchanged a concerned glance. "We've thought about that," Elvis said. "But we don't think it's a reason to hide our celebration. In fact, we think it's the perfect opportunity to show the world that our love is real and strong."
Royalty nodded. "And we've already spoken to our publicist. We're going to make a statement about the engagement, and we'll make sure to address the rumors and speculation surrounding Alexander's claims."
Xavier squeezed my hand. "We're in this together, Elly. We'll face whatever comes our way, as a team."
I felt a surge of love and gratitude for Xavier. He was right – we would face this together, and our love would come out stronger on the other side.
Jason spoke up, his voice filled with determination. "We'll make sure that our engagement party is a celebration of our love, and not a reaction to Alexander's drama. We'll show the world what's real, and what's just rumors and speculation."
I smiled, feeling a sense of resolve. We would do this, and we would do it together.
Although our contract marriage was intended to be low-key, I chose not to express my reservations. I didn't want to hurt Xavier's feelings or make him feel insecure about our union.
I forced a smile, trying to appear supportive. Xavier's eyes sparkled with relief. "Thank you, Elly. I appreciate your understanding."
Unbeknownst to him, my silence masked my true thoughts. But for now, I prioritized his happiness, and our arrangement's delicate balance.
After a week of living in the hotel, Xavier and Elvis finally got a short break from filming. We decided to take advantage of the free time and head to my house.
As we pulled up to the house, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. It was nice to be back in a familiar place, surrounded by my own things.
Xavier smiled as he helped me out of the car. "It's nice to be out of that hotel room," he said, stretching his arms over his head.
I nodded in agreement. "Definitely. I'm looking forward to a little bit of normalcy."
Elvis, who had been quiet until now, spoke up. "I'm just looking forward to a decent night's sleep. That hotel bed was killing me."
We all laughed as we made our way into the house. It was nice to be together, just relaxing and enjoying each other's company.
As we entered the mansion, Elvis carefully carried Jason inside, with Royalty walking closely behind him, a warm smile on her face. The employees, who had been notified of our arrival in advance, welcomed us with open arms.
They had already prepared everything, from the luxurious amenities to a sumptuous feast. The aroma of delicious food wafted through the air, making our mouths water in anticipation.
"Thank you, everyone," I said, grateful for their warm hospitality. "You've done an amazing job, as always."
Xavier smiled, putting his arm around me. "It's great to be in your home," he said, his eyes scanning the surroundings of the mansion.
I nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of comfort and security wash over me. It was good to be back in my own space, surrounded by the people and things I loved.
