The crimson princess

Chapter 135: Thalia

Pov Dia,

I handed my new daughter, Hilari, to Rimuru while explaining the situation and emphasizing that she must be treated properly, even if Hilari's birth was unintentional.

Sera was sitting across from me with a girl who had dark blue hair and orange eyes.

Next to me was Aurora, kneeling in a dogeza position with a sign around her neck that read, "I'm the wrong girl. As punishment, I cannot go out with Dia-chan for a few centuries."

What a severe punishment, especially since she really wanted to go out with me. The worst part is that she didn't even intentionally cause Gabriel and me to have a child.

Dia: "Now, I would like to know why there is such a young girl, with an age close to Hilari's, in your peerage."

Sera tried to avoid looking me in the eyes and began whistling. Even though her whistle was terrible, it was still better than Milim's.

Sera: "It's a very, very long and emotional story that will probably take a lot of time to explain."

Dia: "Don't worry, I have all the time in the world."

She sighed before finally beginning her explanation.

Sera: "So, I was walking around, saw a battle, got closer, and saw a little girl fighting. She had enough talent, so I approached her. She had to fight because her parents were not in a state to defend themselves, and if she did nothing, she and her entire family would die. So, I took her and went to her house to bring her parents to Pandemonium, except they were killed. I couldn't leave her like that, and that's how she became my second Knight."

I must admit, I expected her explanation to be much shorter than this.

Dia: "I'm sorry for doubting your story. I thought it was false."

Sera: "Yes, you should be ashamed for not believing your wife would tell the truth."

Little girl: "But you're wrong, Serafall-sama. I was indeed on the battlefield, but it was because I was an orphan, and that was the only way for me to survive."

I looked at Sera, the expression in my eyes clearly telling her she was in trouble.

Dia: "So, she somehow kidnapped you and asked you to join her peerage, am I wrong?"

Thalia: "Thalia. My name is Thalia. And yes, you are right."

Sera: "Wait, don't punish me yet, Dia-chan! I did it because I couldn't leave her like that. It would have been too cruel."

It's true that it wouldn't be like Sera to do something so heartless.

Dia: "Since you did this with pure intentions, I forgive you. But you still lied to me."

A few minutes later, she found herself next to Aurora, in the same kneeling position, with a sign around her neck that read: "I must not lie to my wife."

Aurora had a sneering smile on her lips, clearly enjoying Sera's predicament. She still resents Sera for preventing her from going on dates with me for a very long time.

Time passed, and as I had hoped, Thalia and Hilari had become the best of friends. It's simple: Hilari confided almost everything to Thalia before speaking to me or Gabriel.

Hilari also developed a strong sense of justice and a tendency to tackle everything she deemed bad, so I asked Thalia to keep an eye on her to ensure she didn't get into trouble.

Perhaps because of the way she came into the world, Hilari has an enormous sense of modesty—except when it comes to her choice of clothes.

For her, even just holding hands is one of the most shameless things in the world. Thankfully, she doesn't bring up her thoughts about me and my wife, as I believe the heroic image she has of me would be shattered.

An important development is that Gabriel became my wife, much to Sera's dismay. Sera had wanted to challenge her but quickly warned Gabriel that she would remain my first wife—a remark I punished her for, as I consider none of my wives inferior to another.

Inari and Kurama finally had a child born in 1934 (as I mentioned, time has passed).

It was a girl, and as they agreed, she named herself Yasaka. She was so adorable, and her tails were incredibly soft.

World War II began again, and I felt we were approaching its conclusion when devastating news broke my heart.
