The Backbender (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

"Oh, Shit! You fucking singed my luscious hair!" As Kanuk pushed himself out of the way of a beam of flames. His hair was slightly singed by the heat passing just a mere cm above him.

Boom!

The beam of flames smashes into the ground and instantly melts into laa. The fire spread out in a fan shape as it ripped the ground apart with the force of a meteor.

"Oh hell nah!" Kanuk's eyes widened as his figure was washed in the flames. Flames reaching temperatures of 1,100 C surrounded Kanuk's body from all sides.

The ground under Kanuk's foot started melting, but Kanuk was strangely not bringing up from the fire. Iroh stopped the jet of flames and watched as the flames died down.

The smoke was dispersed as Kanuk waved his hand. What was revealed was Kanuk, his hands in an X-shape with massive burns on his forearms. It was not lethal, just skin burns.

He was standing on a pole of ground, lava flowing around it with the light bending around his body due to the heat. Putting his shaking hands down, Kanuk let out a shaky sigh.

'That was close...' Looking down at his arms, Kanuk felt the sweat on his brows and back turn cold. He survived using the new skill gained from levelling his Chi's control.

[Host can control the Chi from others near his body. Can use Chi to heal injuries at great strain on reserves. Can enhance physical capabilities by 20%.]

He used his new skill to bend the flames around his body. But even then, he was still injured by Iroh's flames and its intense flames. The flames were not just hot, but it was impactful.

Standing up properly, Kanuk smirked as he looked down at his clenched fist. With a groan, the wounds on his arms started mending back together at a speed visible to the eyes. The skin fell off and was replaced by brand-new skin.

Kanuk felt his Chi reserves take a hit as he finished healing, but it was not a big problem. His Chi reserves increased to 20 thousand upon evolving his 2 Chi-related skills.

He still had 15 thousand Chi left in the tank, and it was already almost back at full reserves due to his Elemental Body. Iroh watched with an impressed look on his face. He had never seen Chi be used in such a genius way before.

"Impressive. Such Chi skills are worthy of praise, and your bending skills deserve praise. But I have a question. How are you able to bend air and water?" Iroh asked with a small as his palm went to the hole in his shoulder. Flames lit up as he cauterized the wound.

Kanuk smiled as he looked at Iroh. Just then, the sound of groaning could be heard as the slumped Zuko was starting to wake up, pain on his face as he held his stomach in pain.

"How can I bend air and water, huh? Well, I guess you can think of me as the most spirit-blessed person in the world. The world loves me, allowing me to bend the four elements. And much more. In theory, there is nothing that I can't do." Kanuk replied with no hint of lying in his voice.

Why would he lie? He was telling the truth. He got the opportunity to transmigrate into this world, got an overpowered system that is not a slave master. He got girls fawning over him, a wife, power and money.

Is he not loved by the world?

Katara, Fei and Sokka arrived just in time to hear what Kanuk said.; They stared at him in silence, shock on their faces at what he had just said. They couldn't wrap their heads around it.

Most spirit-blessed person in the world?

The world loves him the most?

He can do anything he desires.

"That's some bullshit! Why can't I do that? Not fair!" Sokka pouted as he turned around, his face dropping as he clenched his hands. Why can't he use bending? 

"Wow... Kanuk, I never knew you were this powerful." Katara stared at Kanuk with concern flashing in her eyes. She just saw a slight amount of arrogance in Kanuk's eyes.

She does not know how to feel about that...

"Kanuk. Does that mean that you are an avatar as well?" Fei's voice silenced the field as everyone turned towards Kanuk with curiosity. Zuko stood up with the tree's support, holding his stomach in pain.

His mind flashed with words that were too fast to say with his mouth. He refused to believe what he had heard. He can do such impossible things because the world loves him?

Is he not loved by the world?...

The Kiyoshi warriors looked at each other with glances. Their eyes held emotions of worship and reverence as they stared at Kanuk. It was like the avatar Kiyoshi standing there.

"I don't know about being an avatar," Kanuk replied to Fei with a smile. He did not want to suddenly be seen as the avatar. He turned back to Iroh with a smile and stepped on the ground.

Boom!

The earth pillar he was standing on collapsed from the force. Kanuk dashed at Iroh even faster, his hand pulled back in a punch. Air circled his hand, and suddenly, everyone watched in shock.

Boom!

Flame and wind fused as both of them appeared on Kanuk's fist. Iroh's eyes opened as he felt the threat, and he instantly used his bending to send out a wave of flames.

Boom!

The ground around Kanuk exploded as his fist pierced through the wall of flames. His flames were no joke. Its heat was amplified by the wind around his fist.

A Massive shockwave was created, and Iroh was sent out of the flames with blood trickling down his chin. He had a red burn mark on his chest in the shape of a fist.

Boom!

Iroh crashed into the ground before continuing to roll. After coming to a stop, Iroh looked up at Kanuk with a serious face. His chest started expanding as he got ready to use his dragon style.

"That's enough, old man. Just take your excuse of a nephew and leave us be." Iroh looked at Kanuk in surprise but did not detect a lie in his voice. Standing up, Iroh smiled as he thanked him.

"Thank you, young bender. Zuko will not go after you, I promise." Zuko struggled to stand as Iroh walked to him and picked him up. He felt shame as he was taken to the ship in a princess carry.

Kanuk and the rest of the team watched as the soldiers were taken back, and then the warship left in 10 minutes. Once they were gone, Kanuk sighed as he looked at his singed hair.

"Damn it. A strand of my hair was singed," Kanuk turned around with frustration as Katara and Fei ran towards him. They had questions written on their faces.

"Don't worry, I will explain it once we get back to the room," Kanuk said as he walked towards Fei and Katara. They looked at him, with Katara sighing and Fei excited.

"Let's go."

What do you think of the fight scene? I could have made it longer and with more struggle. But realistically, Kanuk is already one of the strongest in the verse, so it makes no sense for him to struggle for his life.
