Chapter 20: Not Him.
Last night...…
Alex looked over to the two girls who had already dozed off while they watched the movies. She sighed as she remembered that she needed to go out that moment before wake.
She was glad her plan worked, she smiled softly.
Before now, she had offered them drinks which she spiked…She didn't want anyone suspecting her or getting in her way, besides she only added special sleeping potions since they already claimed to be not normal humans…
She came down from the bed, shut down the laptop and laid the girls appropriately on the bed…then she left.
Walking down the long quiet hall she took easy steps as she neared the western wing of the castle. But then slowly, her ears and nose signaled an incoming person. A familiar scent, she halted and waited for him.
She faked a little smile when he came into view,
"Zayn?!"
Zayn slowly stopped as he nodded as a greeting.
"It's quite late, Alex." He said with his normal deep aloof voice.
"Going somewhere?" He asked.
She smiled again,
"I couldn't sleep." She hugged her arms.
"I thought I could stroll around, you know?"
Zayn's eyes narrowed at her, Alex was a woman filled with a lot of surprises…. He wondered what she was up to.
He remained quiet and then slowly released a breath. He didn't have time to question her, he was on his way to Ciara.
He nodded her her, "Don't stay up for too long." He said as he looked behind him and then at her…he remembered.
"The western wing is empty though."
Alex bit the inner sides of her cheek,
"Oh,I know. It will be more quiet, I need calm." She lied.
Zayn couldn't stop her, she would suspect.
He nodded, "Alright. I'll get going now."
"Yes." She smiled with a nod and then he left.
She breathed out.
Zayn lied.
And she did the same thing.
She knows he lied, but why?
Does it mean that that her sense that night was right after all?
'I knew it.'
Her inner-wolf growled.
She walked ahead and used her nose to find the room he was in.
In the whole western wing, two strong scents filled her nostrils.
One she never smelt before, but smelt familiar and the other, the one she desired to kill.
She smiled as she approached his door,
He was dead meat.
Standing in front of his door, her lopsided smile increased, it was really him. He had guts alright, walking into her world, her path, her trap. Her left hand slowly reached her short dagger in the waist belt inside her translucent night dress.
Her other hand went to the door knob and turned, her brows furrowed in confusion. It was open.
Her mind screamed at her to turn and leave, run. He warned her that night, he was a demon and she knew in her guts he was dangerous.
No. This might be her only chance…
Maybe he wasn't expecting anyone to come inside his room without knocking.
His loss then, she was here to kill him.
She walked in, his strong scent hitting her senses. That coconut scent that made her heart ache. Her lips thinned as she remembered the scent of his hair when his head was buried in her chest some nights ago.
'Why does he have such an effect on me?' She asked her wolf.
The room was dark, lit with only candles. She walked in further silently, slowly moving go his bed. She knew he was there, she could slightly hear his strange heartbeat, he was slow and calm….asleep maybe?
What a fool.
She got closer and closer and closer, his face stoic and beautiful.
Thick eye brows, thick lashes, a face worth more than anything she had ever seen, his lips... those same lips.
Why was he here?
Did Ciara have business with him?
Why wasn't she told?
Well, it won't matter now anyways. All she had to do now was-
She sheathed her dagger softly, she leaned in close, raising the dagger some inches from his heart.
Her lips curved up slightly,
"Let's end this now, Zekeiel." She whisk and aimed-
Her right hand with all strength targeted his heart….
In one blink, movements faster than anything happened. Her eyes widened..another hand held hers, tight. That same second, she was turned over into his bed and her hands pinned up, his weight holding her body down.
Their eyes met.
Her eyes moved the way her hear sped. Shock written on her face.
What just happened?
He was not supposed to hear her, smell her or feel her!
"Let go!" She whimpered. Not because his grip on her her hands were tightening as if he wanted to break them but because they felt so hot like fires were ready to burn her skin.
"Let..go!" She struggled now.
Roshan's eyes scanned her for the second time, finally realizing who she was…
His grip reduced as he looked back at the dagger still in her hand. He used one hand to hold both of hers and pulled the dagger from her grip.
"Give it back!" Alex pushed against him, fighting to no avail.
He ignored her and threw it to the carpeted floor.
Her eyes followed his movements. Returning back to his face, she glared hard at him.
The motherfucker!!!!!!!!!
"You bastard! Let go of me this instant!"
Roshan sighed, baffled by her attitude to the current situation at hand. He closed his eyes to calm and think a-bit, she still struggled underneath him.
"Why are you here?" His voice was strained but it echoed loudly for her to pause and look carefully at him. Slowly, her eyes did the math. His robe had loosened, exposing his hard strong arbs, his eyes that bored into hers, and his left hand holding her two arms in place.
If it wasn't in this situation they were in, she would've been turned on already.
Why was he so hot and yet looked so forbidden? His hair was scattered around his forehead, blocking his gaze and the view of his eyes but Alex knew better, he had his eyes on her, especially her night dress.
Her heartbeat raced faster, his eyes on her felt as though it undressed her at the moment. Alex slightly gulped, what would happen if that night were to repeat again?
No!
Snap out of it, Alexandre!
She looked at his face again, she was supposed to push him, claw at him, and definitely kill him but….what was wrong.
Her swam of thoughts halted when her eyes caught his lips parting..his eyes on her own lips, she realized at that moment that she was biting her lower lip.
Fuck!
How can this seem so…..
"Get,off, me." She said more slowly and less confidently.
"You've got an explanation to get to if I do that." He replied.
"I think what happened here is self explanatory, no?"
"Is it?" His brows arched in a curved way that made Alex stutter in her next reply.
He nodded quietly and held her arms tighter,
"Why don't you tell me why you were trying to kill me."
Alex titled her head at him and let out a soft scoff,
"Did you forget? Or you normally pick up girls on lonely roads, fuck them and leave?"
Roshan bit his reply back, he wanted to play this game in another way.
"Don't you remember me?" She asked again when he remained quiet.
Roshan paused a bit, for forming a reply that would put him in trouble in due time.
"I don't."
Alex frowned.
"Liar." She growled and pushed against him in spite.
She shouldn't blame him. He was trying to give them both some time to organize their thoughts.
She was still empty headed at how things were before now, he also wanted time.
No.
He needed time.
But Alex thought otherwise.
How could he lie like that, to her face!
Roshan smiled inwardly, he loved to hurt her pride.
"I'm sorry." He started halfway.
"But I'm I supposed to know you?" He asked with all seriousness needed.
Alex head went blank for some seconds..
No.
She wasn't wrong!
He was Zekeiel.
The man that fucked her hard as if she was the only thing he dreamt of.
The idiot who left leaving a note behind. He was the one or atleast it felt like him.
Roshan sighed softly, his head bending lower, his hair almost reaching an inch of her nose.
He was lying,
She smelt the coconut from the bastard.
Her wolf scoffed in her.
'Let's play along, we have enough time to kill him. Besides, our cover is blown.'
This was going to be fun….
You wannna play Zekeiel??
Alright,
Let's play!
