Chapter 64: A Dangerous Meeting.

After Terra was integrated into the Imperium things became rather peaceful despite the massive reawakening of mana. Now with Mana and Psychic Energy flowing through the planet in excess everything was constantly evolving.

On Mars, he had used the chaos that happened as a result to take over the planet, but that wasn't needed on Terra. With his inexhaustible armies the strength of the evolving animals and plants were barely a risk.

By releasing his creations into the environment he was slowly, turning Terra closer to a magical world with Dragons and other such creatures than a mundane world. It would take a while before the planet and its people adapted to its new state, but he had time.

Only that while that happened he had several meetings with certain individuals. In the last month, Justinian had already met with Aquaman who was less than pleased about the awakening of Psymagic.

With the abundant energy, all sea life was undergoing constant mutation making them far less willing to obey him. Some of the creatures Justinian had released into the oceans hadn't been seen ever on Earth.

Sea Dragons, Leviathans, and several other dangerous creatures that he had meticulously bred in his laboratory. These creatures were dangerous and the Atlanteans wanted them gone.

However, hunting them was out of the question since each was blessed with dangerous abillities. When the Atlanteans tried they instead suffered heavy casualties which made them more agreeable to Justinian's demands.

In particular, in exchange for them ruling themselves and receiving his protection, they had to allow him to station some of his troops in their city. They hated that, but if they refused him he would just allow his creations to do as they pleased.

When that was agreed on the next might as well have been agonizing as he wanted every last bit of magic Atlantis knew. A part of him even wanted Aquaman's Trident, but he decided to simply take one from another reality.

The Atlanteans were not happy, but in the end, they had no other choice. That was just one of his decisions and meetings, but he had a far more important one right now.

---

In the Imperial Manor, the former White House, Justinian sat on a large throne nowhere near as impressive as his Crystal Throne. He just had no intention of leaving Mars as his home so he merely had one that could support his weight and connect to his main throne.

All around him in the large room, his Honor Guard stood at attention with his wives, Sigismund and Helbrecht closest to him. Justinian tapped his finger on the armrest of his throne as he looked into the golden eyes of Doctor Fate's helmet.

"Welcome Nabu, to my temporary abode. I think it is long overdue that we talk at length."

Doctor Fate, no longer Kent Nelson who had died of old age over a decade ago. Now Giovani Zatara, the new hoast of Doctor Fate nodded.

"Yes, I agree that we should have spoken long ago."

The voice was ancient and powerful, but respectful. Justinian did wonder what the Lord of Order wanted.

"Well then, let us talk. I take you have something you wanted to tell me directly."

Doctor Fate for his part looked directly into Justinian's eyes before he said something that even made Justinian interested.

"That is so, it appears that for Chaos to truly be eradicated you must succeed in your endeavors. Many dangers that would come to pass will be far less damaging when your grand plan is complete. I have come to offer a warning."

Justinian leaned forward interested in what the Lord Of Order had to say.

"What is it?"

"Be careful of what lies beyond the Source Wall."

Justinian knew what he meant so he nodded.

"Perpetua and those behind her."

Nabu nodded.

"Quite so."

"I will continue to be careful, as it stands I have no interest in testing my luck against the Source Wall. If Yuga Khan the strongest of the New Gods could not breach the wall, then I rather not take my chances."

Nabu was pleased with that.

"If you wish to leave beyond his realm, find another way. Earth 49 will have what you seek."

"Thank you, Nabu. I have been waiting for that."

With that said, Nabu cast several sigils with his hands before he teleported away in rays of gold. When he was gone, Justinian knew that Earth 49 was the Injustice Universe. Meaning, if Nabu was taking about Angstrom Levy sending Mark Grayson to the DC universe, that was his ticket out of DC.

Angstrom's Dimensional portal creating could take him to Marvel, DC, and Invincible, and from there he could grow even stronger. Strong enough to begin taking on even stronger opponents.

As he grew still, Sigismund turned his head.

"My Emperor, do you know what he is talking about?"

Justinian nodded as he stood up.

"I do. Earth 49 is what I like to call where everything went wrong. On that Earth, Metropolis was nuked, Superman killed Lois while she was pregnant with John then Superman became a dictator.

If I wasn't focusing on the full conquest of the Galaxy, I would be extending my hand to other Earths. That one in particular is juicy and one that I would be more than happy to pluck."

Helbrecht turned his head with a smile.

"Why don't we?"

Justinian reclined on his throne.

"I just told you, extending too much will cause more problems than it is worth. However, this does interest me greatly. Tell me what you all think of your reality. I don't just mean this universe, or the multiverse, and all the other realms that it is connected to.

I mean all of that wrapped together."

His 50 Guards and his wives paused to think on this. Remnosh was the first to speak, but she didn't really think on it all that much.

"It's is massive and extensive, I want to call it unique, but something tells me I am wrong."

Lauralina clasped her hands together in prayer as her tattoos lit up.

"It was made for you to conquer my love. Everything in it is for you and you alone."

Leona shrugged.

"We live in it so I would rather it not go anywhere."

Magna being the more book smart actually put a bit of thought into her answer.

"If you are asking that question, then I will speak. Our realm is massive and unique with its many different realms and worlds attached to it. It is also dangerous with powerful entities that beyond even us."

Sanguinia thought about it before she had an idea.

"I believe what you are getting at is that it is not the only one."

He grinned before he pointed at her.

"You would be correct my dear. This realm, reality, or whatever you want to call it is not the only one. Far from it, very far from it though it is one of the more dangerous ones. Why this is important because I know of an individual who can access more realities through his special power of dimensional travel.

Leaving this reality is particularly dangerous, but he can make it much simpler. That is why my Mother Box has been checking the multiverse constantly for the signs. If Nabu told me, it will happen on Earth 49, then that narrows the search. Our ticket out of this reality will come."

That made everyone quiet down before the questions started. Perturabo in particular had many.

"So, once we get this ticket and we gain the ability to leave what then? Do we start taking control of a galaxy in each realm?"

Justinian shook his head.

"Of course not, we still have the rest of this universe to conqueror after all. Then we can expand to other Earths. Extending the Imperium through each realm will be more trouble than it is worth unless I manage to reach a stage of power where I can exist in every realm."

Just as Justinian was enjoying the talk with his Honor Guard, the door to his throne room was opened up. Inside walked in a Space Marine who was running in full sprint.

"MY EMPEROR, I BRING NEWS!"

Justinian and the rest of his guards turned to the Marine who kneeled down waiting to be addressed. Justinian stood up before he walked toward the Marine.

"What is it?"

The Marine looked up before he delivered his message.

"At the edge of The Imperium, a vessel belonging to Apokolips emerged from a Boom Tube. Inside was a single individual who claimed that Darkseid wished to meet on neutral ground with you."

Justinian found this interesting.

"So he does."

Justinian focused on his psychic abillities and in a second he enveloped the entire Imperium that covered thousands of light years. The entire Galaxy was in his psychic gaze and he spotted the vessel.

As for the individual, they were nothing more than one of the slave population of Apokolips. They had nothing more to offer and after their message was delivered they died.

Once he saw what he needed Justinian pulled his senses back. He then turned to the Marine who was still kneeling.

"Did the slave say where Darkseid wanted to meet?"

"Yes, My Emperor."

The Marine then gave Justinian the coordinates of the meeting which were 10,000 Light Years away from the closest Imperial controlled Star System. Not a big deal so Justinian decided to not waste time.

"Well then, let's see what old rock face wants."

Since his Honor Guard was already standing, he didn't need to order them to move. With a thought he opened a portal to the location and he began to walk toward the portal. Behind him, his Honor Guard and his five pet Predakons began to follow him.

They had been curled up sleeping, but now they had a reason to wake up so they followed after him. Justinian was the first to step out of the portal onto a barren world that would one day be part of the Imperium.

Then, his Honor Guard and his pets emerged around him surrounding him just for presentation. His Predakons went from small little robot dragons to gigantic, 250-meter-long monsters in seconds once they were away from the group.

The five living machines spread their wings and flew off to get a better vantage point. Once they were in place, Justinian waited for a few moments before a Boom Tube opened up a small distance away.

From the Tube emerged Darkseid who was strangely by himself. He didn't appear at all concerned that he was surrounded or that Justinian was magnitudes stronger than the last time they met.

The two giants looked at each other for a moment with Justinian being the bigger presence physically. Darkseid squinted his eyes as he glanced at Justinian before he spoke.

"So you came."

Justinian stepped forward, Spear in hand.

"Consider it curiosity why you of all beings would want to meet me. Last time we met, we went to battle and if memory serves me right .I won."

Darkseid ignored him completely.

"Victory of a simple Avatar is not enough to claim me defeated. This Avatar would prove more of a challenge, but fighting is not why I am here. Yet."

That did interest Justian a great deal.

"The yet implies we will be."

Darkseid kept his arms behind his back as he spoke.

"I have come to declare war. Your Empire will crumble before the might of Apokolips. Your soul will burn in the Saction forever when the time comes. Be prepared for the war to come, you brought this on yourself."

Darkseid opened another Boom Tube before he turned around to leave. He expected to be attacked in the back, but he was not. Instead, he heard something more annoying.

Justinian was laughing ominously.

"A declaration of war, I accept."

When Darkseid stepped through the Boom Tube Justinian felt it was his birthday. A war against Apokolips would test his Imperium and he would get a chance to take more of the Omega Effect for himself. This was shaping up to be a wonderful war.
