Chapter 69: The Winged-Humans (30)
The amount of work she puts in… It's simply astounding. Brightness thought as he mentally prepared to continue attempting his transformation spell. However, he was interrupted. "What are you two doing here? Don't you have something else to do?" He asked.
"Don't worry big brother, we aren't going to cause any problems…" Moigit replied with an entire roast pig hanging out of either side of his jaws.
"Brother, we thought it would be best to allow the winged-humans to get used to us slowly. Once they came to get food we left." Frayrsis explained taking a position to lay down like a good loaf. "That aside, I think it's great that you've found someone like her. Big sister is strong and dependable. Everything a dragon looks for in a mate… You really lucked out there." He continued.
"It's not I who lucked out. Rather it was her efforts that made this relationship feel so natural." Brightness said, over the sound of munching… "Moigit, can't you eat more quietly?" He grumbled.
"Oh come on big brother! You've got to try this…" Moigit responded in a blissful tone. "I've never had such tasty food before. It's perfect!" He continued, after finally finishing his large meal.
"Even so, it's rude…" Brightness began, stopping once a few people brought over another roast pig.
"Lord Brightness, you haven't come to eat yet. Mother told us that you need your strength to continue practicing. So we brought you a few of the roasts. Please enjoy to your heart's content." An Elven woman said in a cheery voice.
"Ahahaha, that's right! Mother is quite fond of eating good food. As well as preventing those from starving. That naturally includes you too, Lord Brightness." A Dwarven woman laughed heartily.
"Oh? I just talked with her… I wish that moment could have lasted longer." Brightness mentioned.
"Pfft, Mother was right. You're a big adorable softy." The Dwarven woman laughed holding her sides.
"Lord Brightness, we're all rooting for you! Master that transformation spell!" The Elven woman said, with beady eyes and pumping her fists. "Ah I wonder how precious such a child would be. I'm sure it will be loved by everyone." She went on into a little day dream.
"Oh we ought to build a large castle with many large rooms and open areas!" The Dwarven woman added and then the spark couldn't be suppressed anymore. "Lord Brightness, enjoy your meal. I'm going to discuss this matter with everyone!" She said running off to the camp again.
"Wah, huh… Wait for me, I want to talk about making baby rooms too!" The Elven woman shouted after the dwarf. "Surely they'll have more than one child together! So we need lots of rooms!" She continued shouting.
Once the two women were gone, Moigit and Frayrsis began snickering… It slowly turned into a roaring laughter.
"Ahaha, Brother so when are you going to master this ability of yours? These people want to see their god's bundles of happiness come into the world." Frayrsis asked, laughing all the while.
"Yeah big brother, you're looking kinda red." Moigit added laughing and then eyed the roasts that had been brought over. "You gonna eat that?" He asked, changing topics the moment food crossed his mind.
"You can't have it. This was food offered to me by my mate's people. I shall eat…" Brightness said getting all of the roast in his mouth at once. A tear came to his eye. "This… This is the greatest taste I've ever tasted. So rich and flavorful!" He exclaimed with a glint in his eyes.
"So brother, how long do you think it'll take? It already takes humanoids the better part of a year for their offspring to incubate inside their females?" Frayrsis asked, this time with a more forceful tone.
Brightness thought about the question for a while and his answer is still unknown. "I'm not positive of when I'll have mastered it to the point it will be safe to use for such things like mating. But I should be able to manage a full transformation within six months… It does depend on when Sil is around though. With her healing me up every time I practice the speed increases." He eventually answered.
Frayrsis gave his brother a look of pity. "I wish we could help you but, I haven't the faintest idea of how to do that. My element hasn't even been fully decided yet… I wonder what I should pick…" He sighed.
"Oh don't worry about brother, so long as Big sis and Big brother are around we will have all the time in the world to make that choice." Moigit added.
"That's true, Sil did remove your reliance on Mother. So you'll be able to pick whatever you want with any interference. And with Sil's abilities I'm sure she would be able to help you all out. Though it would be for the best if you came up with something before asking her." Brightness mentioned, turning his head slightly as he thought.
"Oh, Frayrsis, what that thing sis used to plummet you down to the ground making that crater? That seemed quite interesting right?" Moigit suggested. "Me, I think I'm going to go for a variant of wind. How cool would it be to make others feel dizzy with a single breath." He continued.
"You know what? That's a good idea, Moigit. You were spun around quite fast." Frayrsis chuckled. "As for me, I'm not sure that power would suit me. I've been more of a free flowing kind of dragon. Just that Mother always made that difficult. So perhaps water or wind?" He added.
"Pfft, the two of you are over here talking about elements without me?" Night Silver said walking up close, the only thing she wore was a light towel around her waist. Her hands upon her hips. "If you wanted to know your elements so badly, all you had to do was ask. Big sis will tell you what you best match with." She added, with a confident smirk and then stretched, arching her back. "Both of you seem to be good with quite a wide range. But if you want to boost your breath's power… It seems like you'll need to go with Wind or Light elements. You could also do a dual typing to make a variant element if you wanted." She explained, relaxing her form.
