As I ventured deeper into the wilds, I spotted a small slime nearby. Its glowing body slid across the ground, oblivious to my presence. Curiosity stirred within me, and I decided to follow it. The slime moved purposefully, leading me to a hidden cave that lay beyond the thick underbrush.

I entered cautiously, the dark, damp air surrounding me. The cave echoed with the sounds of slimes slithering about. The deeper I went, the more slimes I saw—hundreds of them, their gelatinous forms oozing across the cave floor. There was something more menacing here, though—the slime boss. I could feel its presence.

The first wave of slimes attacked. As a goblin, I was more agile than the slimes. I preferred using tools, and luckily, I had gathered some larger stones along the way. I picked one up and hurled it with all my might, smashing the first few slimes into oblivion. Their gelatinous bodies splattered across the stone walls, and I felt a surge of power as my level increased.

Without hesitation, I picked up a large stone and hurled it toward the boss. The stone hit the slime with a loud thud, but to my horror, the stone immediately began dissolving in the acid the slime exuded. It was like the slime's corrosive touch was eating through the stone like it was nothing.

I had to act fast. I was already feeling the sting of the slime's acid seeping into my skin, despite my new Acid Resistance skill. The skill had helped reduce the damage, but it wasn't enough to make me immune. I gritted my teeth, throwing another stone, but it too dissolved as soon as it came into contact with the slime's body.

The slime surged forward, its gelatinous form extending like a mass of sticky liquid, trying to engulf me. My instinct kicked in, and I ducked just in time, narrowly avoiding the slime's engulfing attack. Its acidic touch singed the ground where it landed, and I felt the heat of the corrosive substance even through my resistance.

I couldn't afford to hesitate. I unleashed my new Stone Throw skill, sending a rapid succession of stones flying toward the slime boss. The stones hit their mark, but each one dissolved almost instantly upon contact with the slime's body, melting away like snow in the sun. But it wasn't for nothing. The slime boss was being battered, its body rippling from the repeated impacts.

It was then that I realized—I needed to adapt. My Acid Resistance skill had levelled up with each strike I endured, and I could feel it becoming stronger, more effective. The acid no longer burned as intensely, and my movements became more fluid as I dodged the slime's attacks.

With one final push, I grabbed a large stone and charged. As I threw it, the stone didn't dissolve. The acid resistance had reached a critical point, and the stone hit with devastating force. The slime boss let out a horrible screech as the stone shattered its core, and with a final ripple, it dissolved into a puddle of its own acidic remains.
