chapter 24
24 I’ve already controlled myself… (1/2)
Two people were squeezed into the narrow kitchen corridor.
On this summer night, anything that touched would heat up, and what about two bodies?
Fangzhou only felt a wave of heat coming from where the two people touched, and he almost felt like he was going to faint.
“Let me go.”
He tried to move his feet, but Qin Yu was standing still, like a glass doll that would shatter if moved, making him unable to stir.
He could only tilt his head back and then push her head away with his hand.
“Uh…”
Qin Yu laughed lightly and wriggled free from the man’s hand, while the fingers on his arm also began to tap lightly, like playing the piano.
“I won’t let you?”
Her eyes were phoenix eyes, the tail slightly raised, and at this moment, in the dim light, they seemed like a fox’s, having the power to captivate people’s hearts.
The water inside seemed to be rippling, as if it was about to speak, and was pulling people into her eyes.
Qin Yu was like a luxurious and exquisite ceramic vase, attracting people to gather around her.
“You’re really that afraid of me?”
“I… am not.”
Fangzhou’s voice became hoarse, and his whole brain was more disoriented than before, like being shrouded in a layer of fog, making it difficult to think.
His gaze could only be fixed on Qin Yu, this human flower that was blooming, seemingly only to attract him.
“Is that really not the case? Let me hear what your heart is saying.”
Then Qin Yu continued to move closer to Fangzhou, her rosy lips almost about to cover his chest, and a refreshing fragrance wafted from her hair, making people unconsciously relax their guard.
Looking at the woman’s mesmerizing appearance, Fangzhou acknowledged that his heart had indeed been swaying.
Memories of the two people being together also attacked him, trying to make him lose his composure.
However, a fragment flashed in his mind, a pale and weak girl being tied to a chair, her eyes tightly closed, like a butterfly tied down.
Fangzhou’s gaze suddenly cleared a lot, and the ambiguous atmosphere was dispersed by his words, becoming scattered, as if the closeness of the two just now was but an illusion.
The person who was once within easy reach has drifted away again, and Qin Yun’s face stiffened, but she quickly gathered her emotions and picked up her smile again, casting a somewhat resentful glance at him.
Then she said leisurely, “When you used to call me ‘Ah Yun,’ it wasn’t like this.”
Indeed, when they were together, Fangzhou did call her that.
When two people could be together, any kind of sweet nothings could be said, but times have changed.
“You know that was in the past.”
Fangzhou held his cup in his hand, the cool touch bringing much tranquility to his heart, his eyes clear, not at all like the same person as before.
Qin Yun felt a sense of loss but suppressed the dark thoughts at the bottom of her heart, took two steps back, and moved out from the corner, allowing him to pass through smoothly.
“I’ve already restrained myself a lot…” (2 / 2)
Fangzhou took a few steps and was about to pass through the hall and go upstairs when he suddenly heard Qin Yun call him.
“Are you still blaming me? I really didn’t mean it.”
Her voice was laden with undeniable guilt.
Fangzhou turned to look at her, Qin Yun was engulfed in darkness, only her hair illuminated by the kitchen wall light.
The scene that had calmed Fangzhou down earlier once again appeared in his mind.
The vulnerable girl with her eyes tightly shut, and Qin Yun standing emotionless in front of her with a knife, like a butcher looking at pigs in a slaughterhouse.
If it hadn’t been for his timely arrival, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
That girl was his sister, still in high school and not often out, so Qin Yun didn’t know she existed.
And every time Fangzhou went to see his sister, there would be actions like patting her head or linking arms, and it was these that led to Qin Yun’s misunderstanding.
Qin Yun thought he liked his sister and even wanted to cheat behind her back, nearly harming her.
To this day, Fangzhou still remembers the pain in his heart.
As the saying goes, liking a ‘yandere’ is a story, but being liked by a ‘yandere’ is an accident.
Fangzhou should be thankful that his sister wasn’t hurt; otherwise, Qin Yun wouldn’t be standing so calmly in front of him.
“Some things can’t be forgiven just because you apologize, like footprints in the snow, they don’t disappear just because they’re there.”
Fangzhou withdrew his gaze, becoming cold and indifferent again.
Of the four ex-girlfriends in this show, he feared Qin Yun the most.
Don’t be fooled by Qin Yun’s usual composure and grace; when she truly goes mad, not even ten bulls could hold her back.
The possessiveness of a ‘yandere’ is terrifying; once they do something extreme, no one can save them.
So, even if Qin Yun acts pitiful in front of him, seeking sympathy, Fangzhou won’t believe her.
Qin Yun turned around, her eyes vulnerable, looking at Fangzhou with a pleading tone, “What can I do for you to forgive me?”
I’ve already restrained myself so much…
Even the girlfriends you’ve talked about, I’ve let them be. Am I not restrained enough?
Qin Yun recalled the daytime, the lipstick Han Xi pulled out from her bag, and the love-filled gaze she cast towards Fang Zhou.
Her entire being felt icy cold, as if frozen in an ice cellar.
Han Xi was also Fang Zhou’s ex-girlfriend, but it was unclear whether it was before or after her.
Heaven knows how much Qin Yun had to restrain herself to not confront Han Xi in front of everyone.
No, she couldn’t do that, Fang Zhou would get angry.
It was with such thoughts that Qin Yun managed to calm down.
She knew Fang Zhou was afraid of her, so she had to hide her thoughts even more.
I’m willing to disguise all my evil thoughts for you, as long as you get back together with me.
But Fang Zhou, as if he hadn’t heard her, walked straight through the lobby and upstairs, leaving Qin Yun alone to face the endless darkness.
If anyone could see her expression, they might truly be frightened.
Because Qin Yun’s eyes had changed, harboring a dense, ink-like malice, like a beast that had been nurtured for decades, about to be released from its cage.
