Chapter 80: Tour buses

While the world outside was buzzing with excitement over Ethan's upcoming tour, Ethan himself was sitting in a meeting with Jessica and Bill, deep in conversation about the future. Rebecca was handling PR stuff, and the atmosphere in the room was charged with tension. Jessica leaned forward, her gaze serious.

"Ethan," she began, her voice carrying the weight of someone who had seen the industry's ups and downs, "this album has reached a point where we don't know where it could go. It could either make you or break you. But here's the catch—we need more songs. At least 5-7 more. We're going to hire the best songwriters to ensure your catalog is up to par."

Ethan shook his head almost immediately, cutting her off.

"No," he said firmly, leaning back in his chair, arms crossed. "It shouldn't matter. I know what I want. I can write them myself."

Jessica's expression softened but stayed firm. "Ethan, I get that you like writing your own songs, but we're in crunch time. The tour's only two months away, and you're going to be busy with that. You need to focus on both, but we can't just leave the music up to chance."

Ethan frowned but didn't budge. "With the way people are talking online, I don't think I need to do more publicity runs. I'll just focus on my songs. By December, I'll be heading home, so I won't be out and about until the tour starts."

Jessica opened her mouth to argue, but Bill, who had been silently observing, finally spoke up.

"Let him have his way," Bill said, his voice calm but confident. "When has he ever let us down? Plus, he has full creative control over his music. If anyone knows what he needs, it's him."

Jessica sighed, throwing her hands up in the air in mock frustration. "Alright, fine. You win. But let me tell you about the new schedule."

She began to explain, and as the words fell into place, Ethan's mind started to process the massive scope of what was ahead. Jessica continued, her tone becoming more enthusiastic.

"The tour's been moved to 4 months. We're planning to do a tour bus where you'll go from state to state. You'll be living on the road, Ethan."

Ethan blinked, processing that information. "Wait... I'll be living on the road for four months?"

Jessica smiled, eager to see his reaction. "Yes. It's going to be intense, but you'll have all the space you need to relax and work. And yes, we've booked all the biggest stadiums. We're starting here in LA."

The schedule rolled out on the table between them, and Ethan stared at the long list of cities. His mind tried to make sense of the numbers and dates.

Day 1-2: California (Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum)Day 3-4: Arizona (State Farm Stadium, Glendale)Day 5-6: New Mexico (University Stadium, Albuquerque)Day 7-8: Texas (AT&T Stadium, Arlington)

The list continued for 60 days, covering more than 20 states, each with major stadiums and long bus rides between cities. Ethan's head started to spin as he realized the scale of it all.

"Wow," he muttered, his voice a little breathless. "Four months on the road?"

Bill laughed, seeing Ethan's reaction. "Yeah, but it's going to give you more leeway for rest. Plus, you'll be able to stay on the move, which keeps things fresh. We've got the biggest venues lined up. You'll be performing in stadiums like AT&T Stadium and the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. We're kicking things off right."

Ethan's head was still spinning, but something about the idea of being on the road, performing in front of tens of thousands of fans, sparked a fire in him. He straightened up.

"That's awesome. It feels like I'm a rock star," he said, his voice rising with excitement.

Jessica and Bill exchanged a glance, both bursting out laughing. "Yeah," Bill said, chuckling. "But it's also a lot of hard work. You've got to be ready for what's coming."

As they finished up discussing the logistics of the tour, they heard a knock on the door. "Come in," Jessica called.

The door swung open, and a young assistant, hurriedly walking in, gave a brief nod to everyone. "Ma'am, the tour buses have arrived."

Jessica smiled, her eyes lighting up with energy. "Great! Let's go check them out."

Ethan followed them outside, his thoughts still a little scattered. The moment he stepped into the parking lot, his gaze was drawn to two massive black tour buses, sleek and intimidating. He couldn't believe how large they were. People were already surrounding them, snapping photos and asking for autographs.

Bill stepped forward, signaling for Ethan to hold off on signing anything. "Let's talk about the buses first. We'll get to the fans later."

They approached the buses, and the tour manager, a tall, professional-looking man, stepped forward to show them around. He opened the door to the first bus and ushered them inside.

The interior was nothing short of luxurious. There were two king-sized beds, plush leather couches, a full bar, a sound system that Ethan could only dream of, and a lounge area that screamed opulence.

"Each bus costs around $1.2 million," the manager said casually, as if it were no big deal. "Top of the line. You'll have everything you need on the road."

Ethan's eyes widened in shock, and Bill was just as taken aback. "Wait, what? $1.2 million?"

Jessica, overhearing the exchange, grinned. "Get used to it. The label is going all out. Everything's been planned down to the finest detail."

Ethan stood there, still a little shaken by the revelation, but his confidence slowly started to return as he took in the bus's luxurious features.

As they continued their tour of the bus, signing autographs for the small crowd that had gathered, Rebecca rushed up to them, out of breath.

"Jessica, Bill! Ethan!" she gasped, barely able to get the words out. "The Grammy nominations are out."

The news hit Ethan like a ton of bricks. His head spun as he processed the announcement. This was no longer just about a tour. This was the turning point
