Chapter 132: Texas Concert IV
"Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up for...!" Ethan Jones shouted, his voice booming through the stadium. The crowd, still reeling from his electrifying duet with Taylor Swift, was now buzzing with curiosity. Whispers filled the air, fans murmuring guesses and exchanging wild theories.
One guy in the front row suddenly shouted, "Wait, I know who it is!" But his voice was completely drowned out by the deafening cheers of the crowd.
Ethan stood there, a grin plastered across his face, soaking in the electric atmosphere. His thoughts raced as he scanned the roaring audience. Why don't they already know who it is?
Before his mind could wander any further, his voice erupted again, sounding even more energized than before. "Give it up for the Rap God himself... Eminemmmmm!"
The announcement hit like a thunderclap. For a split second, the stadium was silent—almost as if the crowd collectively stopped breathing. And then, chaos.
Screams erupted from every corner, an overwhelming wave of sound that nearly shook the very ground. Fans leapt out of their seats, shouting and crying. Somewhere in the crowd, the guy who had guessed earlier shouted, "I knew it!" But his voice was swallowed whole by the ocean of screaming.
Backstage, Jessica and Bill exchanged wide-eyed glances. This wasn't just excitement—it was hysteria, and it rivaled the reception Taylor Swift had gotten earlier.
Jessica furrowed her brow. "Most of Ethan's fans are younger girls and some guys. Taylor makes sense for them. But this...?"
Bill, still frozen in place, muttered, "Did we underestimate Eminem's popularity?"
While they puzzled over the sheer intensity of the reaction, Rebecca stood off to the side, tablet in hand, scrolling through online feedback with a knowing smile. She understood exactly what was happening.
'Sure,' she thought, 'maybe not all of Ethan's fans are Eminem stans. But sometimes, you don't have to be a fan. Just the name Eminem is enough. The man's a legend—a cultural icon. Seeing their idol, Ethan, sing with him? That's a moment. That's history.'
Rebecca's smile widened. It wasn't just about Eminem's star power helping Ethan, though. Their last duet had brought Ethan a flood of new fans—particularly from demographics where he'd been lacking: older listeners and a significant portion of the Black community. This time would be no different. Eminem's presence on that stage would cement Ethan's rise, expanding his reach and breaking through even more barriers.
Ethan's voice rang out from the stage, cutting through the noise like a sharp blade:
"I've been a liar, been a thief, Been a lover, been a cheat..."
Rebecca's head snapped up, and she couldn't help but beam. Ethan sounded incredible. She quickly turned to Jessica and Bill, both still trying to recover from the shock of the crowd's energy.
"Hey!" she called out, grabbing their attention.
Jessica, who had just returned from escorting Taylor offstage, raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
Rebecca held up her tablet, her grin stretching even wider as she pointed to the screen.
Ethan Jones
Texas
Taylor Swift
Concert
Eminem
"We're trending top 5 worldwide," Rebecca announced, her voice shaking slightly with excitement. Then, unable to contain herself, she practically screamed, "I repeat, we are trending ALL top 5 around the world!"
Jessica froze for a moment, her jaw dropping. Then, in a rare lapse of professionalism, she let out a girlish squeal, jumping up and down like a teenager. Bill wasn't far behind, his smile stretching so wide it looked like his face might split.
Rebecca chuckled, watching the two lose their composure, though she was no better.
After a few seconds, Jessica composed herself, smoothing her clothes and clearing her throat. "Ahem. Okay, okay. Show me what they're saying."
"Me too!" Bill added eagerly, shuffling closer.
Rebecca turned the tablet toward them, her excitement bubbling over as she pulled up the live comments. All six eyes locked onto the screen at the same time, their expressions a mix of anticipation and glee.
Rebecca scrolled through her tablet, opening Twitter. The screen lit up with post after post from verified accounts, each one more dramatic than the last. She smirked, reading them aloud as Jessica and Bill leaned in closer.
@BuzzPopEnt:"WHAT the hell is happening in Texas right now?! Ethan Jones just brought out Taylor Swift and Eminem?! Are we witnessing history or what?! #TexasConcert #EthanJones"
@StellarSounds:"Ethan Jones' Texas concert: Is this already the Concert of the Year? Taylor Swift AND Eminem on one stage??? Someone pinch us. #EthanJonesLive"
@PopCultureDaily:"Who gave Ethan Jones the cheat codes to life? This Texas concert is straight-up UNREAL. Taylor. Eminem. And the fans are losing their minds. #ConcertGoals"
@RapRadar:"Ethan Jones x Eminem back at it again? The crowd is deafening. This collab is hitting different tonight. #RapGod #TexasConcert"
@SwiftiesUnite:"Taylor Swift is out there SLAYING the stage, and Ethan Jones is holding his own! Is this the most unexpected duo of 2025? #EthanJonesConcert"
Rebecca scrolled further, showing them another post that made her laugh.
@MusicMadness:"Texas is the center of the universe tonight. Ethan Jones just decided to casually destroy every other artist's tour in one night. #LegendInTheMaking"
Bill leaned back, his grin splitting wide. "They're eating this up. This is huge."
Jessica crossed her arms, trying to suppress her smile. "It's trending everywhere. I just hope Ethan doesn't collapse from the pressure."
Rebecca scrolled again, stopping on a tweet from @BigStageTimes:"Ethan Jones. Taylor Swift. Eminem. THIS is what happens when a pop prodigy, a queen, and a rap god share the same stage. Unforgettable. #TexasConcert"
The three of them exchanged glances, and Rebecca finally said, "Ethan's name is everywhere. We're trending globally. This is exactly what we wanted."
Bill nodded. "No. This is bigger than what we wanted."
Jessica, still staring at the tweets, muttered, "And this is just the beginning."
Jessica nodded with satisfaction but quickly added, "Show me the fans' reactions, not just the news channels and blogs." She leaned closer to Rebecca, her tone sharp yet excited. "That's where the real traction—and money—is at."
Rebecca smirked, already tapping away on her tablet. "Way ahead of you."
