Chapter 769 - 763: Giving a Car
Chapter 769: Chapter 763: Giving a Car
Following Finn Lewis’s words, Luna Starfield’s voice quickly rang out. After Luna Starfield confirmed, Finn laughed and said, “Fate brought us together. Thanks for helping me out today. Since you couldn’t buy one, let me give you one. I can’t make use of so many. In our place, we have a saying – whoever is present gets a share. So let me bestow each of you a Thunder Ranger. I hope you guys won’t reject my gift.”
Everyone was taken aback by Finn’s words. Give them a car? The looks on their faces became incredibly strange. What was he giving away? It was a Thunder Ranger! There were seven people here including Shaoning Locke. These were the three from the Green Family, Shaoning Locke, the guy called Wind, Grayson Baker, and finally Barron White – seven in total, which meant seven Thunder Rangers.
How much did seven Thunder Rangers cost? According to the official website, it’d be 56 billion Federal coins. Heck, even though for their respective families this amount could be considered peanuts, for them personally, it was not. None of them even had pocket money amounting to the cost of one Thunder Ranger in a year. Otherwise, why would they believe Wind’s words?
But Finn had casually said he would give them away, and so decisively, without any signs of hesitation.
“No way, Finn. It’s too expensive, I can’t accept it.” Shaoning Locke said decidedly after snapping out of his daze. The others also spoke up, refusing as well, only Wind was somewhat conflicted and finally couldn’t resist saying, “Uhm, although I can’t accept, what if I give you the money, and then you transfer one to me?”
“Haha, fellas, it’s just a small gift, don’t take it to heart. Considering the strength of your families, I know you won’t be impressed. But I can only bestow what I have. Hope you guys won’t dismiss it. To put it bluntly, I’ll need some support in school later. You may have noticed, I have some conflict with the Rochefort Clan,” Finn laughed heartily, then added nonchalantly.
Although Finn knew what was going on, he couldn’t voice it out. Finn’s casual talk resulted in a dilemma for everyone present. They couldn’t admit that, while their families might not care about these things, they personally cared. Besides, given their known background, they couldn’t deny Finn’s words. Everyone knew about Finn’s circumstances, so it was normal for him not to understand the Federation’s situation.
But how could they admit they didn’t have much money? Each family had hundreds of direct heirs, and just maintaining them every year was a significant expense. Hence, the amount of money each of them could get was even less. They weren’t in a position in their respective families to demand more money yet.
Everyone was young, well, relatively speaking when compared to people on Earth they might already be considered old. However, here, they were young, so naturally, they cared about face. It wasn’t possible for them to voice such things out, let alone bring it up on their own.
Unsure of what to say in response to Finn’s words, everyone was silent. Right then, the hover cars Finn had just bought arrived. The sight attracted everyone’s attention. Heck, even if they didn’t want to, the sight was too captivating. Even Shaoning Locke and his friends couldn’t help but be amazed. They had never seen so many limited edition hover cars at once.
Almost everyone’s gaze was petrified by the cars, including Shaoning Locke and his group. The saying goes, which young person doesn’t like cars? They had initially refused because they just met Finn. But after hearing Finn’s words, they didn’t know how to refute. Moreover, Finn had asked for their help. So, after some hesitation, they didn’t refuse. For Finn, a problem that can be solved with money is not a problem.
Finn had merely paid a few lots of Roberts Coin. He might not have been clear about the use of Roberts Coin yet, but he hadn’t forgotten he had exchanged a warehouse full of it with Zero. Anything described with a warehouse couldn’t be too little, right? So Finn didn’t worry about money at all. His priority was to find allies first.
As the hover cars landed, Finn quickly ordered his bodyguard to bring over the keys. The keys looked similar to a bank card, but don’t underestimate this small device. It was like a personal tracker. It was used to control the hover car, whether from afar or near, even for transferring the vehicle.
“Well then, I’ll accept with thanks.” After some hesitation, Wind accepted decisively. He quickly said to the others, “Ah ha, I don’t care about you guys ah. Finn, in the future, if you need anything, count me in. Hey, hey, I am so friendly, right? I couldn’t even buy this car. If you want to give me one, it would be impolite to refuse.”
Having said that, Wind directly grabbed the key and ran towards his car. Finn laughed, then addressed the remaining people, “Guys, consider it as a small gift from me. Although it’s hard to buy, I can’t use so many. I know you guys won’t care, but just take it as a meet-and-greet gift. I don’t have many friends here, and I feel familiar with all of you.”
“Okay, then I’ll accept it with thanks, Finn. If you need anything in the future, just say it.” Shaoning Locke thought it over and decisively agreed as well. It was just a hover car. Finn dared to give it, so why wouldn’t he dare to accept? Besides, didn’t Finn mention needing his help in school? Concerning the Rochefort Clan, he couldn’t stand back! Even without Finn, he would still oppose them anyway. Since that was the case, why not kill two birds with one stone?
Seeing that Shaoning Locke and Wind had accepted, the rest followed suit, including the two girls, without any hesitation. Unlike the others who enthusiastically patted Finn’s shoulder, the two girls thanked him with sweet smiles, then walked over to Kay Lee and started chatting with her.
“Speaking of which, you haven’t registered yet, right? Come, let me take you there,” Shaoning Locke generously offered.
