Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

The music started filling the air as they emptied the middle area. A lot of people gathered in the middle and began to match their moves with the gentle music.

As expected, a lot of them were asking Nathan to dance with them, which overwhelmed him.

However, that was when Selena and Sera finally made their presence known.

"So, it's time." Selena grabbed his arm as if she was about to drag him to join.

"You finally appear now after pushing all those responsibilities to me?" Nathan smiled wryly. "Haiz. After this, I would be extremely tired."

"Don't worry. Leave the rest to me." Selena winked playfully.

"Who taught you to be cute?"

"Sera." She pointed at Sera, who basically grabbed his other arm.

"Ehehe. Should I not?" Sera stuck out her tongue.

Nathan was helpless. Then again, it was a welcome addition, considering Selena had become more expressive. The trauma she had endured for the last decade had partially disappeared.

"Then, Selena first? I will dance with you after this, Sera."

"Of course. Take your time." She waved her hand. "By the way, are you going to do it with that girl?"

"Ah. You don't have to worry about it." Nathan waved his hand. "Since the banquet is done, I'm planning to go back as early as possible. At the very least, I have already shared some information. Staying here longer will just cause more problems."

"In that case, Sera can go first. I don't mind going second," Selena suddenly dropped a bomb.

"Eh?" Sera blinked her eyes a few times. "Are you sure?"

"What is your actual plan?" Nathan sighed. "Don't be mean to Sera."

"It's already halfway through the song. I want a full song."

"You're so mean, even though I have been helping you this whole time." Sera pouted.

"We can just go with this one and the next one. Sera will go after that." Nathan chuckled.

Without saying another word, Selena snatched Nathan and dragged him to the middle.

Sera was completely speechless. "I will let you off this time. Hmph."

"Don't be like that to Sera."

"Sorry."

Nathan put on a gentle smile. Both of his hands were on his waist. He couldn't help but say, "I know that my wish is selfish. No matter how you word it, there is no such thing as loving all of you the same unless you're the exact same person.

"All of you have a unique personality after all. That's why I won't stop if you have an argument with each other. That's the time when you can understand each other. It's just I don't want you to manipulate or harm each other." Nathan looked at Selena, who had already lowered her head, and immediately changed his tone to a bright one. "Well, that's enough for today. We are here to have fun, so let's have fun."

A small smile appeared on her face. She gently buried her face in his chest while saying, "You know. I have always thought that I should keep pushing forward by myself. That's the only way for me to gain my life.

"To completely stop me from having the chance to regain my father's position, my uncle will most likely use Victor to stop me from advancing. If necessary, he might find a way to make me drop out of school so that he can marry me to some strangers for the family's power.

"As a daughter of a noble family, I know most of us will end up that way. It's just… I have always wondered why we have to be sacrificed just for the sake of power and influence.

"That's why I have always thought I want to seize my own life and choose what to do with my own life. And you… have made me realize that my decision is not wrong. I'm happy right now… very happy."

Her grips slightly tightened as she couldn't help but remember what happened to her father. "I know this is too much to ask, but please don't leave me. If you're missing, I will search for you even if I have to level the entire world and die in the process. If you're dead, I will kill the god of the underworld and bring you back.

"I want to let you know you can't escape from me in this life."

Nathan was slightly surprised. She was saying such a scary thing in a rather romantic way.

"I know. I know what a life without love is like. How lonely it is, how cold it is, how desperate it is… I will use everything I have to ensure that won't happen again."

Selena smiled. As she closed her eyes, she said, "Nathan."

"Mhmm?"

"Thank you for being with me here. Thank you for coming into my life."

"Haiz. My heart can't take this anymore." Nathan smiled.

Sera was watching them from afar. A bitter smile appeared on her face, knowing that her place was not up there yet.

For them, the banquet ended after both of them had their turns with Nathan. They immediately went back to their rooms so that they didn't need to deal with more questions from other students.

Of course, Nathan didn't accept Caroline's invitation.

Flora didn't even realize Nathan and the others had left the banquet, since Nathan didn't want others to persuade him to stay.

However, there was actually a silent winner for that night. It wasn't Selena or Sera. It was Risa.

Risa had promised to show herself in a dress after all, which meant the timing was more favorable to Risa than the other two.

After wrapping up the banquet, they could finally begin with the most exciting month every year. This was the month that was filled with Summoners War.

Obviously, most of them actually waited for one certain Summoners War. The most anticipated battle between the Dragon King's daughter and the rising star of the academy took place in the biggest arena two days after the banquet.
