Strongest Lottery System in Pokémon World

Chapter 1: Strongest Lottery System in Pokémon World [1]

Chapter 1: First Draw

"So heavy..."

Marcel woke up feeling a weight pressing down on his body, making it hard to breathe. Opening his eyes, he saw an emerald-green Bulbasaur on his belly.

It looked cute and naive, snoring rhythmically as it slept.

"A Bulbasaur? A plushie? No, wait—what's going on?"

Marcel rubbed his eyes, suspecting he was still dreaming, and subconsciously pinched his thigh. The sharp pain made him gasp.

Then he reached out to touch the Bulbasaur on his stomach. To his surprise, the soft, warm sensation wasn't synthetic or fake. As Marcel's hand brushed against it, the creature stirred and woke up.

This Bulbasaur was alive.

"Have I... crossed over to the Pokémon World?"

Marcel's mind reeled. He never thought such a thing could happen to him. Reincarnation, or rather, Transmigration was something he thought only happened in fiction but he had actually experienced it.

Before he could process the situation further, a mechanical voice echoed in his head.

[Ding! System loading...]

[System activated. Welcome to the Strongest Lottery System!]

"A system..."

The infamous cheat ability—his golden finger—had appeared.

[Host's memory is in a state of confusion. Activating memory sorting function.]

The system seemed to understand Marcel's confusion and directly helped organize his scattered thoughts.

Fragments of memories began to piece together, and after ten minutes of sorting through them, Marcel finally understood.

"I see..."

The person he had become after transmigrating was also named Marcel, a trainee Enforcer for the Kanto Pokémon League.

During his first mission, Marcel had accompanied senior Enforcers to apprehend Team Rocket agents. However, his Bulbasaur had been so terrified by an Arbok that it froze, inadvertently allowing one of the agents to escape.

Despite being a trainee, Marcel was blamed for the failure, and his promotion to an official League Enforcer was revoked.

The stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions eventually broke him, weakening his soul to the brink of death (literally, he was death inside). That was when Earth Marcel's soul merged with his body and took over.

"He's... really quite miserable," Marcel muttered under his breath.

But since he had taken over this body, Marcel resolved to one day clear his name.

With his thoughts sorted, Marcel began to examine his system.

The Strongest Lottery System was fairly straightforward. By completing random daily tasks assigned by the system, he could earn lottery tickets of varying levels: Normal, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The higher the ticket's level, the better the rewards, which ranged from common items, Pokémon props, to legendary Pokémon.

[Congratulations! You have obtained a Gold Lottery Ticket!]

And as a starter gift, Marcel had received one Gold Lottery Ticket for free.

Just as Marcel was about to test his luck, he felt something licking his face. Lowering his head, he saw Bulbasaur looking up at him with an apologetic expression.

Clearly, Bulbasaur knew its mistake during the mission had cost its master his promotion. Seeing Marcel awake but seemingly ignoring it, Bulbasaur must have thought he was angry.

"Hey, it's not your fault, Bulbasaur..."

Marcel gently rubbed Bulbasaur's head. Whether it was the previous owner of this body or the current one, neither blamed the little Pokémon for what happened.

"Bulba..."

Bulbasaur, reassured by Marcel's touch, closed its eyes and relaxed, enjoying the warmth of his hand.

Sitting up, Marcel placed Bulbasaur on his lap, stroking it absentmindedly. "System, use the Gold Ticket!"

His heart raced with anticipation—it was time to see if he'd hit the jackpot.

[You have used a Gold Lottery Ticket... Drawing...]

[Congratulations! You have obtained a Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon—Metagross!]

[Metagross's friendship level with the host is set to maximum by default. The Poké Ball has been stored in the system backpack and can be retrieved at any time.]

"Metagross!"

Marcel was stunned and ecstatic. While higher leveled tickets promised high rewards, it still felt more like a gacha game's rate up—there was no guarantee. But to secure a Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon on his first try? His luck was off the charts, it seemed.

He retrieved the Poké Ball containing Metagross from his system backpack. A sleek, white Premier Ball materialized in his hand.

Unable to contain his excitement, Marcel pressed the button in the center of the ball. "Come out, Metagross!"

A bright white light flashed, and a massive, metallic Pokémon appeared in the room.

Its turquoise body gleamed, with an X-shaped metal cross on its face and fierce red eyes that radiated power.

At first glance, it looked both intimidating and incredibly strong.

[Metagross: Iron Leg Pokémon. Steel and Psychic Type.]

[It folds its four legs when flying. Its four brains are said to be superior to a supercomputer.]

Bulbasaur jumped in surprise at the sudden appearance of the new Pokémon. Shaking off its shock, it stepped forward, vines at the ready, to protect Marcel.

"It's okay, Bulbasaur. This is a friend," Marcel said, patting Bulbasaur gently. "We'll be working together from now on."

"Bulba?"

Bulbasaur tilted its head, confused. When had its master gotten another Pokémon?

Marcel chuckled, picking up Bulbasaur before walking over to Metagross. He reached out and touched its head, feeling the smooth, cold surface.

To his surprise, Metagross narrowed its eyes, seemingly enjoying the gesture. Thanks to its full friendship level, Marcel felt no hostility from the powerful Pokémon—only warmth and loyalty.

Seeing Marcel interact so casually with the newcomer, Bulbasaur mustered some courage. Extending a vine, it poked Metagross cautiously.

Metagross opened its eyes suddenly, causing Bulbasaur to yelp in fright and hide behind Marcel.

Marcel laughed at their antics but soon frowned, feeling like he had forgotten something.

"Buzz..."

Just then, Metagross floated upward, finding the cramped room uncomfortable.

"..."

Marcel's smile froze as he looked around.

The crushed furniture and the mess Metagross had left in its wake spoke volumes.

Covering his face in frustration, Marcel let out a defeated sigh.

"Of course. That's what I forgot..."
