Chapter 31: The Appearance of Shenron, Perfect Ultra Instinct
Just as Vegeta was about to speak, Kibito Kai drew everyone's attention.
"Look! The Dragon Balls are glowing on their own!" Kibito Kai exclaimed as he pointed to the seven Dragon Balls gathered together.
"What?" Pan immediately rushed over, staring at the Dragon Balls as they pulsed rhythmically with light. "Did you secretly summon Shenron?"
"No, I didn't..." Kibito Kai replied innocently. He had only collected the Dragon Balls, after all.
"Maybe the Dragon Balls are back to normal," Goten speculated as he glanced briefly at Pan before turning his focus back to Lin Qi.
This guy... just how powerful is he?!
The glow from the Dragon Balls grew brighter and brighter until it transformed into a radiant beam of light that shot into the sky, redirecting everyone's attention.
"What's going on?" Goku tilted his head and looked up. "Did one of you call Shenron?"
"Nope!" Pan immediately shook her head, clutching Giru tightly to express her innocence.
"Strange... no one called him," Goku said, puzzled, as he stared at the sky.
Everyone else looked equally shocked. Was Shenron now capable of appearing without being summoned?
"What's happening? We clearly didn't summon Shenron. How could he appear suddenly?" Piccolo frowned deeply, his eyes wide with disbelief. This had never happened before.
Even when the Shadow Dragons appeared, it was because they had summoned the Dragon Balls first...
"The sky hasn't darkened..." Vegeta muttered, seemingly uninterested but equally surprised.
"Forget it. Since Shenron is here, let's make our wish!" Goku quickly dismissed the question.
"Yeah!" Gohan nodded. "We need to revive those who were killed!"
At that moment, a long, majestic figure weaved through the clouds before revealing a massive, familiar head.
It was none other than the original Shenron.
"It's the original Shenron!" Pan shouted joyfully when she saw the giant green dragon head.
Lin Qi squinted as he looked at the still-blue sky. Why does this plot feel so familiar?!
"Son Goku, and all of you..." Shenron's blood-red eyes scanned the crowd as he spoke in a majestic and solemn tone.
"You should understand by now—the reason the Shadow Dragons appeared was to warn you that the Dragon Balls must not be overused. Otherwise, disasters like this will happen again."
"Oh... I understand!" Goku scratched his cheek awkwardly after being singled out.
"We won't misuse the Dragon Balls again!" Gohan promised, glancing at Shenron earnestly.
"This time, remember it well. After this, the Dragon Balls will completely disappear from this world, and so will I," Shenron said, casting a brief, almost imperceptible glance at Lin Qi.
Piccolo was stunned but eventually accepted it. He looked at Shenron and said, "Before you disappear, can you grant us one last wish?"
"Speak," Shenron replied in a deep voice.
"After the Shadow Dragons' incident, most of Earth's population was killed. Can you revive them?" Goku asked somewhat awkwardly.
Though he had promised not to misuse the Dragon Balls, here he was, asking for another wish. Even someone as thick-skinned as him felt a bit embarrassed.
"This is the last time! Remember it well," Shenron warned again, as if to ensure his words would be taken seriously.
The next moment, Shenron's eyes glowed, and across Earth, the people who had been killed began to come back to life one by one.
"Thank you, Shenron!" Goku grinned widely and expressed his gratitude.
"Your wish has been granted," Shenron said, turning his gaze back to Goku.
A long silence followed. Everyone looked confused, as though Shenron was silently communicating with Goku...
"Then let's go, Goku," Shenron finally said.
Lin Qi's eyes narrowed sharply as he frowned at Shenron floating midair. The story has returned to the ending of GT...
But I defeated Syn Shenron. Why is this still happening?
Goku wasn't even dead. So why was Shenron trying to take him away?
"Alright..." Goku placed his hands behind his head and agreed readily, even flashing a smile at everyone.
"Grandpa..."
"Dad..."
"Mr. Goku..."
"What's going on?" Piccolo pressed Goku with a piercing gaze, determined to get an answer.
"Come on, Goku," Shenron urged without offering any explanation. Lowering his head to Goku's level, the dragon's intent was clear—he wanted to hurry and leave.
"Then I'll just step away for a bit. I'll be back soon!" Goku assured Gohan and Pan with a comforting smile.
"Wait, Kakarot!" Vegeta's brows furrowed tightly as an ominous feeling grew in his chest.
"Explain yourself! What are you going to do with Shenron?"
"Heh... Vegeta, let's fight together when I get back!" Goku said with a grin, avoiding Vegeta's question. Then, just as he was about to leap onto Shenron's head—
"Wait!"
Lin Qi stepped forward, placing a hand on Goku's shoulder.
With this step, his entire body erupted with white divine energy, and his hair turned completely white.
His expression became solemn as his presence radiated an aura that felt like a god descending to Earth.
Everyone was utterly shocked.
"I can't sense his energy..." Gohan blinked in confusion. Lin Qi stood right before him, yet his energy signature was undetectable!
"What's happening?" Pan was equally baffled.
"This is..." Piccolo's expression crumbled, overwhelmed by shock.
"What kind of transformation is this?" Goku turned his head curiously to look at Lin Qi, now with white hair.
"White hair!?" Vegeta scoured his memory, searching for any related legends but found nothing.
This was not something a Saiyan should possess!
And Vegeta's instincts were correct—Lin Qi's current state was not that of a Saiyan. He had entered the Angelic Realm of Ultra Instinct!
"Ah..." Shenron froze momentarily upon witnessing Lin Qi's transformation. Then, with a sudden gasp, he exclaimed, "Ah...!"
What followed was a startling sight for everyone.
Shenron, who had always carried an air of superiority, was now in a state of panic. His massive head was drenched in sweat—no, it was practically a waterfall!
Shenron had completely lost his usual composure.
"You..." Shenron stammered as he trembled, his voice shaky and uncertain.
What kind of energy was this? It was divine, pure, and overwhelmingly sacred—but it wasn't from a Supreme Kai...
When did such a figure emerge in the universe?!
Could it be... that this universe had merged with others?!
"Dad, why do I feel like Shenron knows Lin Qi..." Pan tugged at Gohan's sleeve.
