SSS rank Mother-In-Law to an Invincible Family

Chapter 356: The Meeting Starts

Then, after a few hours, all of them left the hot springs and went back to the mansion that the Monster race delegation was using. They spent an hour or so there before the five of them returned to the Xu family subspace to prepare for the meeting.

A few days later.

Jingzhong City was buzzing with activity. Delegates from all over the world had spent the past few days exploring the city, marveling at its unique mix of tradition and progress.

The streets were alive with merchants selling rare items, performers entertaining the crowds, and cultivators exchanging stories about their travels.

But not all of them were there, as some of the younger generation focused on cultivating and practicing, which would help them in the competition.

However, today was different. The first people to leave their houses were not the citizens. No, the first to leave were the Xu family members assigned to escort the attendees to the meeting.

At the entrance of each delegate's guest mansion, a Xu family representative stood waiting, dressed in elegant robes adorned with the family crest.

Each of the members exuded an aura that made them look like nobles from ancient times. This surprised many, as they had seen other Xu family members before but had not seen anything similar.

This was because the people sent here were the elites from the Ethereal Diplomatic Corps.

When the doors opened, the representatives bowed deeply and spoke clearly. "Honored guests, the family head invites you to the meeting. Please follow me."

The honored guests were surprised by the politeness shown by the representatives. Their auras were even more shocking, but the Diplomatic Corps concealed them well. This was why only the actual figureheads knew the true strength of these people.

Without questioning, the guests followed the representatives to the meeting location.

They stepped into special carriages, which appeared to levitate. Once the delegates and their bodyguards were seated, the carriages floated a bit in the air before moving at an astonishing speed, following the road leading to the Xu family compound.

This surprised some, as they thought the meeting location would be the royal palace situated in the city's center, the most core part.

Meanwhile, the Xu family compound was in a secluded part of the city. However, its surroundings were filled with villas and mansions belonging to the Empire's core personnel.

The Xu family mansion was nothing short of spectacular. Made of shimmering white stone that seemed to glow under the sunlight, it stood tall and majestic.

Golden accents traced the edges of its architecture, and intricate carvings of legendary creatures adorned its walls. Lush gardens surrounded the mansion, filled with rare flowers and spirit beasts roaming freely.

Unlike others, the Xu family did not have guards or bodyguards stationed at the entrance. Yet, when the delegates walked in, they could feel the aura of the members inside, which left some shocked.

It was clear that the members here were not simple, and their strength was not something to underestimate.

Upon entering, they were led to a large hall filled with other delegates who had already arrived. They could still see a few carriages carrying the last arrivals right behind them.

"This place is incredible," one of the elders from the Fang family whispered, his eyes wide.

The hall was massive, with high ceilings and ornate wooden beams. Tapestries depicting scenes from ancient battles lined the walls, and a massive crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling.

Large windows overlooked the expansive grounds outside, and a marble fireplace was nestled in one corner.

It was clear that the Xu family had spared no expense in decorating their home.

"Indeed. I have never seen anything like it," another elder agreed.

Many were stunned by the opulence of the place, and a few could not help but feel jealous.

The atmosphere was tense, with each side sizing up the other.

At the end of the hallway stood a massive doorway, its frame glowing softly. As the doors opened, the delegates were met with an unexpected sight: a shimmering portal.

"What is that?" one delegate asked, their voice filled with confusion. They had not expected to see a portal resembling the ones used for subspaces.

But no one anticipated this to be the Xu family's subspace. Instead, they thought it was something else, but they soon learned the truth.

"It's a portal to a special subspace," their guide replied with a smile. "It leads to the meeting location, a subspace created specifically for today's gathering."

A murmur spread through the crowd. While everyone knew this would be a major event, no one expected the Xu family to create a subspace—a feat most families could not achieve without using a family token.

And they were not wrong. Creating a subspace required special items and the core of a secret realm, which was not something most families could obtain.

Although some families might have private secret realms for training, obtaining a secret realm core required finding one on the verge of collapse, which was exceedingly rare.

Xu Qianghua had managed this by locating a dying secret realm on a dead planet near Nexara. The realm, hidden in the void folds, revealed itself just before disintegrating.

He remembered this because a neighboring race later shared how they had missed a massive opportunity, unable to reach the location before the secret realm disintegrated into the void.

But this was a good thing as the race in question only sent in a small probe, which miraculously avoided Nexara, which had given them more development time.

This is because most of the races in the void are never peace-loving. Instead, they will only accept peace if there is no other way; otherwise, the races have already perfected the way to subjugate a race for their own uses.

And when asked about this core, it was only then that they learned that to create artificial subspaces, they need this core as the energy provider to the said subspace.

However, this is only when there is not a powerful cultivator who can create a similar core out of thin air, but these kinds of cultivators are only present in those high-level worlds or worlds of a higher level.
