Chapter 149: Depressed
Nancy frowned and said, "How can a girl always drink cold drinks? Why drink beer..."
Ryan ignored her anger and turned to call the waiter, who greeted him cheerfully, "Hey, what do you want to eat today?"
Ryan listed them all: "Twice-cooked pork, spicy chicken, a portion of mapo tofu, thank you."
The dishes were served one after another. Ryan brought two bottles of Coke. Nancy hesitated for a moment but still took them and drank them. Then she asked, "You and Tina are classmates, so you should be very familiar with each other."
"It's very familiar indeed!" Ryan nodded.
"How is her study? What does she like to do on weekdays?" Nancy asked with concern about her daily life, her interests and hobbies, what she liked to eat, and whether she held any leadership position in school.
Ryan was a little annoyed by the question: "Sister, this is your daughter, why don't you just ask her yourself, why are you asking me?"
"Don't talk too much. Just answer the questions." Nancy rolled her eyes charmingly, and then asked, "Does she have a boyfriend now?"
"No!"
"Why did you answer so decisively? You even know this so clearly?"
Ryan said honestly: "I pursued her, do you know for sure?"
"Have you ever chased after her?" Nancy frowned, looking at him with a look of disdain, asking where did you get the courage and guts from?
"I didn't catch up." Ryan said lightly.
Nancy then relaxed her eyebrows and said with a smile: "But you still have good taste. My daughter is so beautiful, there must be a lot of people chasing after her."
In fact, whether you pursue someone or not seems to have nothing to do with whether you have a boyfriend or not. I remember a certain sage once said a wise saying.
Don't care whether she has a boyfriend or not. The goal scored with a goalkeeper is the most exciting. If she has a boyfriend, you only have one opponent. If she doesn't have a boyfriend, you will have many opponents.
"A lot!" Ryan nodded obediently.
It feels like the testimony now is more detailed than last night. She was just about to ask you if you know what color underwear my daughter was wearing today.
As they were talking and eating, a beautiful figure suddenly came over and asked with bright eyes: "Ryan, you are eating here too."
Tina looked lively and bright in a white floral dress. She had no makeup on, and her hair was casually tied up. Her pure and beautiful girlish feeling was heart-warming.
Once upon a time, this was the most beautiful thing that appeared most often in Ryan's dreams, and it was also the dress that Ryan thought was most suitable for her.
"Yeah, didn't you go out for a part-time job today?" Ryan nodded and smiled slightly, just like greeting an ordinary classmate.
"I just went there in the afternoon and went to the company in the morning!" In the morning, she went to the company to collect her sales commission. Getting the 300,000 dollars felt like a dream. She deposited the check into her account from the bank counter.
She was particularly happy looking at those coins because it was the first time in her life that she had so much money, but then she felt extremely disappointed.
Because humans are creatures that make comparisons, when she thought about how much Yana and Lyla had received, the little money she had seemed like a pitiful alms, as if these zeros were laughing at her.
When Tina turned around and saw Nancy, her whole body froze. She originally thought that it was Yana or Lyla who was with him.
Nancy sat inside with a warm look on her face and said, "Tina, let's eat together. We'll order all your favorite dishes."
Tina looked around subconsciously. It was true that the food on the table was all her favorites, but she didn't sit down. Instead, she asked with a strange look on her face, "Where are Lyla and Yana? Why are you with them?"
The tone she used when talking about her mother was a bit strange and even had a hint of blame. Ryan suddenly felt depressed.
Before Ryan could speak, Nancy seemed a little flustered and quickly explained, "Tina, there was something missing from yesterday's case, so I came to consult with Ryan."
"It's noon now, let's just have a meal together."
Tina looked at her with suspicion, then said, "That won't bother you. I'll pack it up and eat it when I get home."
Nancy tried to persuade her in a panic, "We've already finished the discussion. Tina, look at all the dishes you like. Why don't we eat together?"
"No!"
Tina walked to the counter without looking back and ordered her favorite twice-cooked pork and mapo tofu rice.
If it were in the past, she would be too lazy to walk from the dormitory to here. Usually, she would just call Ryan and he would pay for it out of his own pocket to send it to her. For her, this is a change of course.
After packing the meal, Tina hesitated for a moment and walked over, saying expressionlessly: "Ah Ryan was the victim in yesterday's case. I hope you can give him justice."
Nancy immediately looked serious and said confidently, "Tina, don't worry."
"Mom will definitely be fair. Besides, he is your friend. I will never let those two guys have an easy time."
"That's the best!"
Tina gritted her teeth and said, "Ah Ryan, if you have nothing to do in the evening, let's have dinner together. You can also invite Lyla along."
"Let's talk about it later. They went shopping."
Ryan spoke ambiguously.
After leaving the restaurant, Tina felt even more depressed. If the two of them had gone together, they should have gone to buy furniture and appliances.
Her guess was right. Accompanying women shopping is a torture for men no matter what they buy, so Ryan let them go by themselves.
