Chapter 628: 627: Awakening of The Void Phoenix Heart
Corey exhaled deeply as he decided to calm his raging mind that was filled with countless thoughts, questions, and speculations.
Although he was extremely suspicious of his talent, he knew that he could not get these answers until he became stronger or he came across another individual with the talent of Omniscience.
Besides, when he thought about it, he was a Demi-Paragon with a lot of unique abilities. Although a lot of his abilities and prowess were dependent on his talent of Omniscience, he was certain that there were very few individuals that had as many Stars of Consciousness as he did as a Tier 3.
In fact, he was certain that if there was any individual with the same talent of Omniscience, they would not have unlocked their Perceptual Nexus of Repository and they would not have unlocked their Stars of Consciousness.
The only reason why he had so many Stars of Consciousness and everything related to his mind, spirit, and soul was extremely unique and powerful for a Mortal, was because he underwent the baptism of the Eye of God.
'Also, I might just be overthinking it. I might actually be the only one with the talent of Omniscience.'
Corey thought, and then his eyes went to a part of his status screen.

'One of the Four Possessors of a .... Graded Talent on Planet New Earth.'
'It's either there are three other people with the talent of Omniscience or a talent that's on par with Omniscience.'
'I might be the only person with the talent of Omniscience on New Earth or there might be three other people... Which would be weird if I think about it.'
Corey sighed while shaking his head as he dismissed his status window.
[Are you ready now, Corey?]
Nina's voice resounded in his mind some seconds after he sighed, and Corey closed his eyes for a few seconds before he nodded.
"I am. Awaken my Void Phoenix Heart."
[Alright.]
Corey braced himself, and then four seconds later, the sound of his heartbeat reverberated in his mind.
Badum
Badum!
BADUM
BADUM!
BADUMMM!!!
Corey's body froze as he felt a massive force being released from his heart. Pain flowed throughout his body, but the pain wasn't something that made him scream in pain.
Only a groan was released from his lips.
The pain he went through in the second Tribulation of Hell was much worse than this.
Corey felt a profound change occurring throughout his body and heart as a strange energy poured out from his heart into his body.
He flickered in and out of existence, and for a moment, Corey felt his connection to space deepen to an unfathomably high level.
He felt his entire being getting connected to another concept, a concept which he subconsciously identified as time. Knowledge on time and space poured into his mind and he absorbed everything at a much greater speed and effect than a sponge absorbing water.
Corey's Eyes of Dreams and Nightmares transformed into his Tri-Pupil Eyes, and at that moment, a third golden triangular pupil slowly appeared in his eyes.
The moment the third golden triangular pupil appeared in his eyes, Corey felt a sort of completeness in his eyes and he was able to see the streams of space and time energy entering into his body.
It was not only the energies of both space and time that was entering his body, he also sensed a more powerful energy that encompassed both the spatial and temporal energies.
Void Energy.
Corey's heart was like a black hole as it absorbed the void energy in the Evolution Center.
Corey had no idea, but because the space in the Evolution Center was so stable to the point that not even gods and sages would be able to damage it, he was able to awaken his Void Phoenix Heart without causing immense damages to his surroundings.
Nina knew this, and she would have never told Corey to fully awaken his Void Phoenix Heart in the outside world because she knew the commotion and destruction it would cause.
An unknown amount of time later, Corey released a loud groan as his heart started beating irregularly and loudly.
A spark ignited on the left side of his chest, and then completely black flames engulfed his body as it appeared from his chest.
His veins turned pitch black and it glowed faintly with a violet and dark gray light as Corey's blood began to change on a fundamental level.
As the black flames engulfed Corey's body, his body started breaking down as if he was disintegrating into nothingness, only for it to regenerate on its own without Corey's intervention.
His flesh flickered between existence and non-existence as his body regenerated as fast as it disintegrated.
Faint, shadowy wings flickered behind Corey's back. They were half-material, half-energy. It was like they existed in a different aspect of space that was close but at the same time distant.
The wings resembled a Phoenix's wings but it had ever-shifting void flames that seemed to consume and recreate reality itself.
Corey released loud groans as his body underwent several changes, and then moments later, his raging heart calmed down.
Corey took in a deep breath, and then he exhaled deeply. He looked at his hands, and then he looked at the left side of his chest.
His eyes turned pure white as he observed his newly awakened Void Phoenix Heart.
His heart was still like that of a human heart but it had cracks that contained an extremely dense darkness within it. The heart made no beating sound, no rhythmic thumping, only a silent ripple in the space around it.
At time, black flames would flicker out of its core, spreading for the briefest of moments before vanishing in his body.
Corey was immensely intrigued by the appearance and structure of his Void Phoenix Heart, and after studying it for some seconds, he decided to go through the new knowledge he had on his Void Phoenix Heart.
'The Void, huh?'
