Chapter 85: The Progress of Three Worlds and the Newcomer Chu Yang in Ancient Costume

"Have you gone mad from all your research?"

Shanks rolled his eyes at him.

"Captain, I want to save this fish-man," Chu Yang said solemnly.

"Mr. Tom? Why..." Shanks paused, then suddenly realized, "I forgot you were saved by the Fish-Man race."

"Mr. Tom? You know him..." Chu Yang also had an epiphany, "He's the one who built the Pirate King's ship. It would be strange if you didn't know him."

Shanks nodded.

At this moment, Beckman suddenly appeared, draped his arm over Chu Yang's shoulder, and whispered, "Actually, we knew about this a long time ago, but the captain said that Mr. Tom could complete the Sea Train, so we didn't act prematurely."

Shanks sighed, "If it weren't for Chu Yang leaving for a while, I wouldn't have thought to come to Water 7 to modify the Red Force now. Originally, I was planning to celebrate for Mr. Tom privately after the ship was completed, but I didn't expect this to happen today..."

Chu Yang looked at the severely injured Tom and asked, "Should we save him now?"

Shanks shook his head, "No, the reason I haven't acted yet is that I'm afraid Mr. Tom's disciples might get involved."

Chu Yang looked around but didn't see Franky. He only saw Spandam, who was covered in bandages.

Clearly, this guy had been beaten up by Franky.

Beckman chuckled and said, "Don't worry. Let's wait until we're out at sea. There are too many warships watching us here, so we can't act just yet."

Chu Yang nodded.

Tom was taken onto the Sea Train "Puffing Tom," which he had built with his own hands. Spandam, the culprit, was also carried aboard by his subordinates.

The Red-Haired Pirates' crew gradually returned to their ship, ready to set sail.

The warships patrolling nearby were a step slower. By the time the Red Force followed Puffing Tom out of Water 7, they finally reacted.

Several parties were now heading toward Enies Lobby.

News quickly reached Marine Headquarters, where Fleet Admiral Sengoku, after hearing the report, turned pale.

Without delay, Sengoku boarded a warship with a group of vice admirals and rear admirals, rushing toward Enies Lobby.

They believed the Red-Haired Pirates' target was Enies Lobby.

Meanwhile, the Red Force was getting closer to Puffing Tom, and Spandam aboard the train sensed something was wrong.

"Damn it, those pirates are coming after us!"

"Red-Haired?"

"Why is he getting involved in this mess?"

Spandam was terrified.

Besides the already established Pirate Emperors—Whitebeard Edward Newgate, Kaido of the Beasts, and Big Mom Charlotte Linlin—Shanks was already considered the strongest under the Pirate Emperors!

How could Spandam not be afraid of being targeted by such an enemy?

Onboard the Red Force.

"How do we stop this Sea Train?"

"If we use brute force, Mr. Tom could get hurt!"

"If there's no other choice, we'll have to destroy the tracks!"

"But Mr. Tom built those tracks. He'd be furious if we damaged them, wouldn't he?"

Everyone was arguing about how to save Tom.

Listening to the chaos, Shanks rubbed his head in frustration. The nearby warships were closing in, and if they delayed any longer, it would be too late to act.

Just then, Chu Yang noticed a boy standing on the tracks in the distance. He knew they couldn't afford any more delay.

"I have a plan." Chu Yang leaped onto the ship's rail, squatting and turning back. "Leave the surrounding navy to you guys!"

Shanks reached out to stop Chu Yang. "What are you—"

Before he could finish speaking, he saw Chu Yang fly off into the air.

Yes, Chu Yang flew.

He was using Earth Release: Ultra-Lightweight Rock Technique.

Shanks was left speechless, frozen in place.

Even Beckman and the other crew members were stunned.

"Captain, I think I'm a bit seasick. I just saw that kid flying."

"Shanks, I feel seasick too. And he's flying pretty fast."

"Captain… ugh… I really am seasick."

Without warning, the warships opened fire, causing the Red Force to sway wildly. Standing on deck felt like being on a seesaw.

Shanks snapped out of it and immediately commanded the crew to counterattack, covering Chu Yang.

Chu Yang quickly flew over the train and landed in the control cabin, kicking the conductor into the sea and slamming on the brakes.

The speeding Sea Train nearly derailed but finally came to a halt after rushing forward a short distance.

The boy, standing in a daze with his arms spread, was now just an arm's length away from the train.

Meanwhile, as soon as Chu Yang exited the control cabin, he was ambushed by a group of Enies Lobby Marines and CP9 agents. They opened fire simultaneously.

Facing these small fry, Chu Yang raised his hand and summoned massive tree trunks. After a single sweep, the car became significantly emptier.

In a corner, Spandam was trembling in fear.

He cursed inwardly, hating that he hadn't been flung out along with the others.

Chu Yang walked up to Spandam and grabbed the bandages wrapped around his wounds.

Spandam let out a scream of pain.

Chu Yang used Conqueror's Haki to knock him unconscious and then tossed him out of the train.

Killing someone like him would just dirty his hands—better to throw him into the sea to feed the fish and maintain ecological balance. Environmental protection matters.

Entering the second car, Chu Yang finally saw Tom, sitting in a corner, covered in blood and barely breathing.

Chu Yang quickly approached, transferring a large amount of life force into Tom's body.

Franky, who had been in shock, finally snapped out of it and rushed into the car, just in time to see Chu Yang healing Tom.

Tears welled up in Franky's eyes, and he became very anxious.

Chu Yang ignored him, focusing on transferring life force to Tom.

Franky cautiously moved closer, wanting to check Tom's condition, but Chu Yang suddenly stood up and kicked him out.

Franky spat out a mouthful of blood, flew out, and fell into the sea. His blood quickly dyed the surrounding water red.

The young Franky couldn't afford to be associated with the Red-Haired Pirates yet. Otherwise, once they left, he'd be the first to suffer.

Chu Yang understood this, which is why he kicked him so hard.

Then, carrying the now-stabilized Tom, Chu Yang left the Sea Train.

The naval bombardment was intense, but the newly modified Red Force held its ground, returning fire just as fiercely.

Both sides were cautious, avoiding close combat.

However, the navy's formation was steadily closing in, threatening to encircle them.

At this moment, Chu Yang returned to the ship with Tom.

Standing at the bow, Shanks shouted, "Raise the sails! Set course!"

Sengoku, who had arrived too late, could only watch as the Red Force broke through the naval encirclement and sailed off into the unknown.

In truth, he let out a sigh of relief.

With only him left at headquarters, if a conflict had broken out in Water 7, leaving Marine HQ vulnerable, it could've spelled disaster.

Sengoku had come under great pressure for this mission, but fortunately, Shanks didn't seem interested in Enies Lobby.

"Why did this guy cause such a big commotion, anyway?" Sengoku asked as they sailed back.

A rear admiral responded, "I heard the Red-Haired Pirates rescued Tom, the shipwright who was supposed to be executed."

Sengoku thought for a moment and asked, "Tom, the one who built the Oro Jackson, the world's greatest shipwright?"

The rear admiral nodded, "Yes, Fleet Admiral Sengoku."

"Then it all makes sense," Sengoku sighed in relief, "Shanks used to be on Roger's crew. This was probably his way of repaying a favor."

The rear admiral was shocked. "Shanks was a member of the Pirate King's crew?"

"You didn't know?" Sengoku looked around and noticed many others wearing shocked expressions.

"Fleet Admiral, please don't drop such big revelations out of nowhere; you'll scare us, just like Vice Admiral Garp," said Kuzan, then a vice admiral, leaning against the railing with a helpless look.

"Don't compare me to that old fool," Sengoku snapped angrily at the mention of Garp. "The New World is in chaos, and he's run off to the East Blue, who knows what he's doing!"

"No idea, but Garp said the next time he sees Shanks, he'll kill him…" Kuzan shrugged, joking, "Looks like they've got some serious beef."

That night, after leaving Water 7, Tom woke up. Upon realizing he was aboard the Red Force, Tom remained silent for a long time.

"If you go back now, everyone connected to you in Water 7 will be punished by the World Government. In the worst case, they might all be executed," Chu Yang reminded him.

Tom sighed deeply, "Why did you save me? Surely, you had another motive?"

Shanks smiled, "The only reason was to repay your kindness. Without the Oro Jackson you painstakingly built, Captain Roger wouldn't have realized his dream. There wouldn't have been a Pirate King."

Tom suddenly looked up in shock upon hearing Shanks' words.

"Yes, I was once a trainee on Roger's pirate ship," Shanks said, scratching his head.

Tom finally recalled that there were indeed two kids aboard Roger's ship back in the day, and one of them seemed to have red hair.

The two chatted for quite a while, and eventually, Shanks invited Tom to join the celebration that night.

There was nothing more worthy of celebration than successfully saving a comrade's life. At least, that was how it was for the Red-Haired Pirates.

The dining room, now four to five times larger than before, had been transformed into a banquet hall, brightly lit throughout the night.

All the pirates sang and danced, their glasses never empty.

Tom gradually integrated into the festivities. Before long, he got drunk, and by the time he woke up the next day, he had accepted the fact that he was now a member of the crew.

Meanwhile, Chu Yang returned to his research.

Perhaps due to his good mood, the study of lineage factor technology progressed extremely smoothly.

Five days later, Chu Yang successfully extracted a lineage factor sample that possessed the properties of Wood Release.

...

In the world of Naruto, Chu Yang, who had been training in the Shikkotsu Forest for many days, successfully mastered Sage Mode. However, he still couldn't enter the state instantly like Hashirama Senju could.

Instantly entering Sage Mode wasn't easy.

Even Jiraiya, one of the Sannin, couldn't manage it later in life.

It required balancing three energies within the body: physical energy, spiritual energy, and natural energy.

Chakra is the result of balancing physical and spiritual energy, and adding natural energy disrupts that established balance.

But the inertia of the body is formidable, especially when it's already accustomed to producing chakra. This inertia has long developed into an instinct, which is the fundamental reason why mastering Sage Mode is so difficult.

Entering Sage Mode during intense concentration isn't that hard.

The challenge lies in maintaining it during action, especially in combat.

On his first day in the Shikkotsu Forest, Chu Yang successfully manifested a facial pattern.

It took him three days to move freely, and five days to fight normally in that state.

According to Slug Sage, such speed was unprecedented, but Chu Yang was still unsatisfied.

If he couldn't ensure he could enter Sage Mode anytime during battle, then it was meaningless.

To solve this, Chu Yang specifically sought advice from Hashirama Senju.

Hashirama said, "You just do this... then like this... and finally like that."

Chu Yang was left puzzled: "???"

As Hashirama gestured, the words he used sounded both familiar and strange to Chu Yang.

Hashirama seemed to think his explanation was very detailed, even vivid.
