Chapter 9: Chapter 09

Zane

I walked out of the school building. As I was walking towards the dormitory building, I saw Ace on the left in the garden. I never see this guy alone. What is he doing out alone then?

I didn't realized but my legs were already moving towards him. He was playing with a kitten.

What is a kitten doing here? Aish, we are literally surrounded by the forest. Of course, there are wild cats here. The cat in his arms indicated he was a safe person. "Ace?" I called him.

As soon as he heard my voice he panicked. Am I that scary? "Catch your breath!" I said as I wrapped my arm around his waist, to prevent him from running away. Because he always does.

"Why- Why did you grab my waist-?" He stuttered. "To prevent you from running any further away from me." I said, I saw his hands covering his ears, "Why are you covering your ears?" He shook his head. I grabbed his hands as I pulled it away, his ears were red, was he shy?

I chuckled, "Shy boy?" "No-No, why would I be shy?" I looked at him, as I sat on the bench and patt beside me. "Come on, over here." I said, he looked troubled just by the thought of sitting beside me, "Umm Ace, I won't ask you any questions. So come on, get over here." I have known him, I have known him longer than he remembers. Longer than I care to remember. But why am I still suspicious of him? Because he is always there. Wherever something wrong happens, he is always there. I can't help it but worry.
