That was the title that they gave me.

This was what they had referred to me as before, but now it was official.

And it wasn't a title that was low either, it was a title that was actually on the same level as the saintess.

Even the saintess didn't seem like she minded the fact that there was a title that was on the same level as her. In fact, it seemed that the saintess felt that this title wasn't enough, she felt that my title should even be higher than hers.

In the first place, the saintess was already a very special title in the Holy Empire since she was someone that was on par with the popes.

No, she was actually someone that was higher than any of the individual popes, even though she didn't actually have any political power. Though in the first place, it wasn't as if she wanted political power to begin with.

The title that I received was one where I would actually be able to make commands to the Holy Empire's troops, so it wasn't an empty title either.

I really felt like this was too much, but they wouldn't back down at all.

But then again, it wasn't as if the title that they gave me was something that I had to accept. If they just gave the title to me without a single care, that would have been fine too since it wasn't as if rejecting it would change anything.

The only thing that I was able to do was stop them from revealing it to the public.

That was accomplished by telling them…

This was the only way to make them calm down.

It wasn't even possible to talk to them with logic, I had no choice but to use their faith to make them calm down.

That was the terrifying thing when it came to religious people like this.

But after they gave me the title of holy son, at least they quickly arranged the delegation that would be heading to the Democratic Union.

Well, to call it quick would be a bit of stretch since they certainly weren't quick about choosing who would come. They were quick to gather the holy knights and priests that would escort us, but they gathered a bit too many people as well.

I had no choice but to convince them to leave a few of these people behind.

If we were to head to the Democratic Union in full force like this, there was no doubt that people would have thought that we were an invading force. Even those from the Holy Empire might mistake this as a declaration of war against the Democratic Union.

That was the last thing that could happen, so I convinced them to cut their numbers down by a tenth. And even then, that was still a bit too big for my liking, only it was too hard to convince them to cut down their numbers any further.

If I tried, it really seemed like they might start a riot at any moment.

The other thing was to stop the popes from arguing with each other since it seemed like they all wanted to come along as well.

It was hard to believe that not that long ago, many of these popes didn't even like me…

The ones that came with me were the pope of the Solista Religion and the pope in black robes, who was the pope of the religion that worshiped the God of Darkness Arcene.

This was the pope that had been the most aggressive towards me when I first came to the Holy Empire, but now he was acting completely differently. He was acting just like the rest of the popes in the way that they treated me.

It really was hard to accept…

With this group, we headed out right away.

It didn't matter what time it was, the most important thing was heading to the Democratic Union as soon as possible.

Though along the way…

"I want to make a detour."

They were all surprised to hear me say this before the pope of the Solista Religion asked, "Is it related to the Relics of Destruction?"

As soon as they heard this, they didn't seem as surprised.

The holy knights and priests even seemed like they were prepared to risk their lives with how determined they seemed.

I shook my head as I said, "No, it's a personal matter that I need to take care of."

It was hard to hide the disappointment that was on the faces of the popes, holy knights, and priests when they heard this. It was clear that they wanted to say something like, "The most important thing right now are the Relics of Destruction."

But they couldn't say it in the end…

The only thing that they could do was look at me with looks like they were asking for an explanation.

Only I didn't give one.

The only thing that I said was, "You can all head to the Democratic Union first. With the speed of our wyverns, we'll catch up to your airships in…no…"

I just couldn't finish saying this since they looked at me like puppies that were being abandoned.

It seemed that no matter what, they wouldn't leave my side at all.
