Where did the arrow come from?

Of course, it was shot by Shinji using his newly acquired Noble Phantasm, Karna's divine weapon—Vasavi Shakti"

But isn't the Immortal Blade a spear? How can it shoot arrows?

The answer is simple: Shinji transformed it into a bow, the Golden Bow.

To clarify a concept, Noble Phantasms is the sublimation of a Heroic Spirit's feats, not physical objects. They exist in a state that is both genuine and not, as crystallizations of legends passed down through humanity, essentially the materialization of soul essence.

Since they are crystallizations of belief and materialized soul essence, for Shinji, who has also stepped into the realm of soul materialization and can convert thoughts into power, there is much room for manipulation.

For instance, extracting the belief from a Noble Phantasm and imbuing it into the Incarnation Body.

Broken Phantasm shatters the tangible part of a Noble Phantasm, but the intangible part remains undamaged. After all, Noble Phantasms originate from legends; as long as the legend endures, the Noble Phantasm persists.

The principle behind repairing a Noble Phantasm is to reshape the depleted mana and shattered entity. Given this, why not go a step further and create a completely new form that suits oneself better? This was Shinji's new idea after absorbing the relic's legacy and forging his thoughts into the Vajra Body.

Only because he was intensely battling Shirou and couldn't spare any attention did he choose the most reliable plan, attaching the concepts and beliefs of the Noble Phantasms to the Vajra Body.

The Vajra Body isn't entirely physical; it exists between reality and illusion, similar to the Servants' spiritual garments (like Mordred's and Artoria's armor). This makes both attachment and detachment quite convenient.

The result was naturally a huge success, with different concepts attached to various parts of the Vajra Body.

The head was imbued with Medusa's Eye, able to emit petrifying light.

The legs were given to Feathered Shoes, allowing Shinji to fly.

The body was cloaked with Hades' Cloak, to diminish presence and achieve surprise attacks.

The arms were respectively equipped with the concepts of the Harpe, Athena's Shield, Indra's Thunder, Azure Cloud Sword, the Goddess's Scepter, and Ishtar's Spear. A series of consecutive attacks, empowered by divine strength, lightning, and wind fire, plus the special effect of wounds that couldn't heal, left Shirou in utter misery.

If not for Shirou's ultimate move, Rising Sun Blade, Shinji would have already accomplished his goal—beating him beyond recognition.

However, gains always come with losses. Being blown to the seabed gave Shinji more time for Noble Phantasm modification work, and the arrival of the Vasavi Shakti and the Balmung provided new materials.

First, it's important to clarify: modifying a tangible Noble Phantasm is harder than recreating an intangible one. The reasoning is simple: it's easier to forge a sword from an iron ingot than from an iron rod. The intangible is like the ingot; the tangible is like the rod.

Even a certain adept counterfeiting red-clad Archer couldn't arbitrarily modify his counterfeit products, let alone the genuine articles tied to a Heroic Spirit's deeds. The time from acquiring the new Noble Phantasms to surfacing was far too short to complete any modifications. But this is based on the premise of transforming the existing Noble Phantasms into new forms. Restoring a Noble Phantasm to its "original form" is a different matter.

Although possessing Uncrowned Martial Arts, proficient in various weapons, Karna was renowned as a great hero for his archery. His divine weapon, Vasavi Shakti, was originally a bow but transformed into a spear due to his Lancer class. Therefore, the Undying Bow is the true form of this Noble Phantasm, the essence of its legend.

With minimal effort, simply by guiding the belief within, the Undying Bow was restored.

And this Undying Bow was Shinji's key to countering the Rising Sun Blade—if close combat wasn't viable, he'd defeat his opponent from a distance.

As for the arrows, after learning from Chiron for so long, how could Shinji not know how to condense mana into arrows? It's a fundamental skill every archer must master.

Grasping the Undying Bow in his left hand and drawing the bowstring with his right, mana the color of the sea gathered into an arrow. Guided by Artoria, the arrow flew through the clear night sky, straight towards Shirou in the air.

Given Shirou's capabilities, a mere arrow wouldn't affect him. With a casual swing of his sword, he deflected the arrow and had time to explain:

"Can't handle close combat, so you've switched to long-range? But you're still not—uh..."

He couldn't finish his taunt as the subsequent barrage followed.

It wasn't just one arrow but a dense volley of dozens.

"Almost forgot this guy has a Vajra Body!"

A rapid-fire technique is a high-level archery skill. Even someone as strong as Chiron could only shoot ten arrows in quick succession due to the strain continuous shooting places on the arms. But this is assuming two hands are used—one to hold the bow, the other to shoot. If additional hands are available for rotation, the strain is significantly reduced.

Forget dozens; even firing hundreds of arrows continuously is no pressure at all—no need to explain, having many hands is just that advantageous! This isn't an archer; it's a humanoid machine gun.

What's even more outrageous is that this machine gun comes with an Artoria-brand divine realm guidance system. No matter how Shirou runs or dodges, Shinji's machine gun can find its target immediately, launching a wild barrage that forces Shirou to leap up and down, dash left and right, repeatedly yelling:

"Foul, foul, using Wood Release in the Type-Moon set is against the rules!"

"You have the nerve to say that? Rising Sun Blade in the Type-Moon set isn't against the rules?!"

Shinji's voice not only grew louder, but his attacks also became more ferocious—leaving Shirou bruised and battered was too lenient; turning him into a pincushion was a more fitting end.

After firing over a thousand arrows in succession, Shinji had a new realization. He began to imbue the beliefs of the Noble Phantasms attached to his VajraBody into his mana arrows, endowing them with entirely new attributes.

With this, Shinji's firepower stepped up to another level. The humanoid machine gun was still the same, but it occasionally switched to a mortar to launch a few rounds.

Shirou's situation became even more difficult. After all, he didn't control the Second Magic, and dimensional leap had its distance limitations. Previously, he could rely on this skill to jump out of the arrow rain's range, but arrows imbued with Noble Phantasm effects were a different story. Especially with the Azure Cloud effect known for its wide area, one misstep and he could be caught by the wind and fire.
