Shadow Slave FanFic [Missing Piece]

The words the Sin of Solace used to describe what Sunny did were clearly spoken and left no Room for interpretation.

Despite that it didn't seem any less ridiculous. Not everyone present knew about the fact that Sunny possessed a Divine Aspect and that those who possessed these coming from Divine Creatures and in his Case even a God, have multiple Cores.

So it was no wonder that Nephis saw herself in the need to give a brief explanation.

"I know this is not something many of you know and I haven't believed in the existence of Divine Aspects myself until I obtained mine. But Sunny is one of the 3 known Divine Aspect holders in the world. Therefore he has just like me and Mordret more than one Soul Core. That simple difference is the reason why we are, despite not having an Aspect that enhances our Physical capabilities, much more Physically stronger than others of the same Rank."

As her words left her lips the Room filled itself with murmurs and whispers. That truth wasn't something to take lightly. Some even questioned if Sunny's strength came from his Divine Aspect and was more of a gift than something he actually had to work for. And one of them was Bloodwave, and he was not scared to ask the question that lingered in some of their minds.

"So his strength is a gift? A Divine Aspect seems like a Cheat Code from the way you explained it."

A Chuckle spread through the Room. Not from the Sin of Solace though, but Nephis instead. A rare thing to happen but his nativity was just too amusing to her.

'I can hardly blame him though. In hindsight it seems that way.'

She calmed down and wore her usual mask of Indifference when facing him.

"No, what I didn't mention is that for Sunny getting essence is much harder than for every other Awakened out there. He doesn't get any Fragments from killing Creatures below his rank and even when facing Abominations Stronger than him his reward for killing them is much smaller than for anyone else. Even when killing fellow humans he doesn't get more than one. Worst of all, he can't even use Soul Shards to saturate his cores, no matter what Rank they are."

If there was any doubt about if Sunny actually had worked for his strength or if it was just given to him they were now completely destroyed after Nephis speech, but she was not done.

"Furthermore his Aspect doesn't give him any offensive Capabilities. Instead he had to work like a Madman to become such an Outstanding worrier, no, a Killer would fit his description better. The oppressive feeling you get when staring into his eyes is the result of thousands of terrible battles he has faced and emerged Victorious. So don't be mistaken and think that Divine Aspect holders didn't have to work for their strength. Even though Mordret and I had it much easier to come to the strength we now possess due to our ability to use Soul Shards and the normal amount of Fragments we get when killing a Creature or even fellow Humans."

If any of them had trouble believing her before they now felt nothing but deep inspiration from her words. Thriving to be on the same level they stood seemed impossible but none of the people present believed that the impossible can not be achieved after witnessing sunny defying all logic in the Battle, that will go down in History, a couple of days Ago.

"Are you done simping for your Boyfriend now? I'm sure you wish nothing but to enslave him again so you can have all that power he possesses for yourself."

Once again the Sin of Solace managed to darken the mood but this time Nephis was ready for it since she had years to think about this Vile thought she had no choice but to think about.

"No, he will never be my slave again. I would rather kill myself than to except our Relationship to be stained by this cruel bond ever again. And I don't need such things to have him by my side, because we love each other and that bond is way stronger than any other force."

Listening to her words that Echoed with determination and resolve through the room made the Sin of Solace no less sure to destroy said bond. He only had one mission after all and that was to inflict pain and he would not stop until the world would drown in it.

"Fine, I'm excited to see you try keeping this "Bond" between you Alive. I know it's only a matter of time until you will betray him again. When you will have to choose between him and your goals, I'm sure it will become clear what that pitiful lump of flesh you call a heart will choose."

His Mad laughter spread through the Room and filled them with rage once more. But Nephis was done entertaining the Sin of Solace so she paid it no attention.

"Go on, we are tired of you way more than you are of us. I know you don't wanna spend any more time with us than you absolutely need to."

Jet commanded the Sin of Solace to continue and so he did.

"Alright. Despite having removed his Core, the Mad Prince was back in the form of one of his Shadows. But having his core removed meant that he didn't have any control over the Shadow so the Mad Prince took control over it instead. That of course means that the Mad Prince only has one of said Cores so he is much weaker than his uncorrupted self. In the end he still had an important advantage though because now that Sunless was without a Master he could be Enslaved again and so the Mad Prince did just that."

He tried to calmly state the flow of events but the thought of Sunny being freed from his status as a Slave only to be Enslaved again soon after was just too amusing to him. Again he couldn't hold it in and broke out into Laughter.

"You Vile thing, do you have no sympathy at all? I thought you hated the Mad Prince so much. WHY IS THAT SO FUNNY TO YOU?"

Cassie snapped, even though she knew it would be better not to entertain his theatrics she was in an emotional state that wasn't fit to make reasonable decisions. She knew the damage he had done to her today had ripped open new and old wounds that would take a lot more time to heal than She was ready to spend.

"I thought you have learned your lesson to keep your mouth shut BITCH. Do you like it when I rip that image Of the Innocent Blind Girl apart in front of your dear friends and allies? If so I can happily dive into another one of your disgusting acts. Would That make you happy? If not, I don't wanna hear a single word from you again. Otherwise I'm sure they all go from forsaking you to jumping at your throat in an Instant."

Having been left with no ground to argue Cassie did the only thing she could in this situation and kept quiet. The Sin of Solace was not above spending more time in a place he truly hates if it meant that he could make her suffer even more. But he would also like to get home as fast as he could and watch the show from there.

Wherever "Home" Was for a Spirit. Probably some sort of Spirit Realm.

(Author here: I have played a lot with the idea that spirits like the Sin of Solace that are evil and therefore 'Wraiths' live in some sort of Parallel world that can't interact with the Corporal World without being summoned by something like the Enchantment the Sword Sin of Solace possessed. Just a fun Idea that the Sin of Solace is watching the world from that realm and laughs whenever someone dies a cruel death or faces a Fate worse than that. However, let's get back to the Chapter now and wrap that Interrogation up. I'm getting tired of writing that part.)

"Good, that's what I thought. Now let me tell you the last part and probably the most important one. You are probably wondering "How did he get Enslaved when he lost his True Name?" Well, the answer is rather simple. He got a new one when he ripped out one of his Cores."

Some of them knew that of course. Nephis and Sunny had Pondered a lot on what his new True Name really means. She was equally excited to get the answer to it but also afraid at the same time. After all there was nothing positive about [Broken Abyss] that much she knew already.

"But I will leave that for the Grand Finally. After all, I know you are still curious about 2 things. One, how he lost his Memories of you all and second, where even is the Mad Prince right now?"

That indeed is something they would need to know. After all, they could not kill him if they didn't know where he even was. But the Sin of Solace knew and he was happy to give them that answer for the sake of getting rid of that thing.

"I guess only very few of you know it but Sunless possesses a Memory of the Divine Rank. A lantern that leads to the Shadow Realm. The Realm of Death or better known as the Realm of Shadow God."

That too made the eyes of some of them go wide. Again whispers and murmurs spread through the Room as most heard of something like a Divine Memory for the first time. 2 of the People present were nervous for a different reason though, because the Sin of Solace looked at them with his eyes and a smile that promised nothing but horror.

"You 2 from the House of Night. I'm sure you have heard about 4 of your Saints going missing, right?"

Naeve didn't know where he was going with this, but sadly they knew of the 4 Members the Great Clan Night has been looking for Months now.

"Yes, but what does that have to do with anything here? Do you know where they are?"

Naeve asked reluctantly. He had an Idea of What happened to them. The Dream Realm is a dangerous Place after all and these 4 have always been close together for their whole life. So it was no wonder that they went missing at the same time.

'They probably died to the same Abomination they thought they could handle. Sadly none of them made it back to report the death of the others.'

Is what Naeve thought and feared for but the truth was way more life shattering.

"OH you do? Well to tell you the truth they are all dead. They died to the hands of the very same man you came here today to help. I'm sure that must be hard to accept but ask that Glorified Slingshot over there."

Both Naeve and Bloodwave turned to Kai in an Instant. Although Bloodwave seemed way calmer than his younger cousin when facing the Charming Archer.

Kai found himself in a tough spot. He didn't want to lie to them, because that was simply against his nature, but he had to for the sake of saving Sunny, since he knew that the 2 Saints from Night wouldn't take the Death of 4 of their Members lightly.

"No, that's a Lie."

He said without giving a single hint of his untruthfulness. Kai was a terrible liar for all his life but Sunny had taught him well and in situations where it truly mattered he was able to pull it off even if his principles go against it.

But still Bloodwave couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head. He knew Kai had just lied. Not because he saw through Kai's perfectly executed act but because the Great Clan Night knew more about this subject than anyone else in the Room.

"I Know he did it and I'm grateful for his intervention. These 4 have caused a lot of harm in the past and due to one of our own Seers we were able to find out what had happened to them. Noone Of the Great Clan Night can die without his Death being known to us. I even know how it happened since the Seer told me everything and threw up all over the Floor as a result of witnessing their Deaths. I can't blame him though. From his description it was both horrific and barbaric how he killed them. But that too is one of the Reasons why I'm here today. I admire him for putting himself in danger for The sake of turning the Dream Realm into a safer place and removing those shameful Sinners from the lines of our Clan. Something the Higher ups didn't have the balls to do."

Everyone was shocked after Bloodwave's speech. Even the Sin of Solace was barely holding it together but that was because his plan to throw them into another pit of Despair had failed and he couldn't do anything about it.

'I hate Seers, always destroying the Fun for me. Well, at least I can vent my frustration on another one when I want to. I will drop that bomb at the end.'

"Why do I not know about this? I'm your cousin dammit."

Naeve was pissed to say the least. Not that Sunny had managed to Kill 4 Saints of Night so easily as it seems but because he has been kept in the dark along with many others. Bloodwave put a hand on his shoulder and stretched out a tongue Before mockingly stating his answer.

"You don't have clearance for that little one. Should have put more effort into rising in Rank of the inner Workings of our Clan."

Naeve just Hissed and turned away from his older Family member. He wasn't really angry at him and of course not at Sunny since he now knew that their Deaths have been justified if not even needed. But he had still expected more from Bloodwave.

"No Clearance my Ass, we will talk about this when we are done with this mess."

Relieved and happy that she would not have to deal with another crisis the Sin of Solace tried to cause, Jet turned to the Spiteful Wraith and urged him to continue with a smug look after Noticing his frustration.

"I hate you all, but fine, you win. Let's get back to where I left off. The funny thing is that the Mad Prince has fallen to the same fate. He was without a Master too after all and Sunless knew his True Name of course. So they are in a Stalemate. A fight between the 2 Slaves broke out in which the Mad Prince made him forget you all with just a simple command. It's truly terrifying what that powerful Bond is capable of doing. After a fierce fight in the Shadow Realm, where Sunless had pulled him, the Mad Prince was left stranded without a way to escape. But not without one Command between the 2 that Forbids them to fight each other."

All of their thoughts were pretty much the same after hearing out the Sin of Solace.

'That's why he can't be with us. He can't face the Mad Prince in Battle not just because they are each other's Slaves but because it's a Command.'

The realization hit them hard. They knew Sunny couldn't help them but the reason was unknown to them till now. Knowing that there was no way around it they just accepted it all with a nod. Now only one thing was left and the Sin of Solace was ready to shatter every single piece of Hope they may have left.

"Now let's get to the very last Piece of Information I'm gonna give you. It's not really important for your fight against the Mad Prince but I'm sure you all are very excited to hear about that Slaves new True Name and the meaning behind it. Ohhh by the dead Gods I have waited just for this."

He chuckled before his voice turned from mockingly and crazy to Sinister and dark.

"Now let me shatter your Dreams."
