Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Into the Occult
Ayush could feel it in the air—the subtle tension that had started to build between him and the women of the Occult Research Club. After being invited to his first meeting, it was clear that both Rias and Akeno were interested in him, though they likely couldn't explain why. The power of the artifact had planted seeds of attraction in both of them, pushing them to notice him in ways they hadn't before.
What made it all the more satisfying was that Issei, for all his perverted tendencies, still had no idea what was happening right in front of him.
When Ayush entered the clubroom for the second time, it was a bit quieter than before. Kiba and Koneko were absent, leaving only Rias, Akeno, and, of course, Issei. The room had a warm glow to it, with the soft light casting long shadows across the walls. Rias and Akeno sat near the center of the room, their eyes immediately drawn to Ayush as he walked in.
"Ayush," Rias greeted him with a smile that seemed more personal than before. "I'm glad you came back."
Akeno's eyes gleamed with playful curiosity as she stood near the tea set, her long black hair cascading over one shoulder. "We're happy to have you," she added, her voice smooth and welcoming, though there was an unspoken weight behind her words.
Issei, sitting awkwardly at Rias's side, seemed lost in his usual fantasies, his eyes darting between Rias's legs and chest as he tried to keep his focus. Ayush noticed the slight shift in Issei's expression when he saw the way Rias and Akeno looked at him. Something about the attention they gave Ayush didn't sit right with him, but Issei, being who he was, didn't quite understand why he felt that way.
After some brief small talk, Rias leaned forward slightly, her posture shifting as if she were preparing for something important. "Ayush," she began, her tone suddenly more serious, "before we go any further, there's something you need to know about us."
Ayush raised an eyebrow, playing along as if he had no idea what she was about to reveal. He could feel the tension in the room rise, and with it, the power of the artifact pulsed beneath his skin, quietly drawing their attention to him.
Akeno stepped forward, setting down her teacup and crossing her arms beneath her chest. The movement pushed her breasts together subtly, enhancing her already sensual figure in a way that didn't seem deliberate but was impossible to ignore. "We aren't... normal students," she said, her voice soft but laced with meaning. "There's more to this club than just research into the occult."
Ayush leaned forward slightly, feigning curiosity. "What do you mean?"
Rias exchanged a glance with Akeno before turning back to Ayush. Her crimson hair fell over her shoulder as she shifted in her seat, the fabric of her uniform hugging her curves in ways that made it hard for anyone not to notice. "We're devils," Rias said simply, her eyes locking onto his, gauging his reaction. "And this club is our base of operations for dealing with supernatural issues in this world."
Ayush made sure to keep his expression neutral, even though he had known this all along. "Devils?" he repeated, his voice calm but laced with intrigue. "I guess that explains a few things."
Issei, who had been silent up until now, perked up at the mention of devils. He was used to this conversation, having gone through it himself when he was first brought into the club. But now, for the first time, Issei noticed something strange. The way Rias and Akeno were acting—how they seemed more focused on Ayush than anyone else. It wasn't just their words, it was their body language. They seemed... different.
Akeno stepped even closer to Ayush, her hips swaying slightly as she moved, though she didn't seem to realize it. "We have certain... powers," she continued, her eyes gleaming as they roamed over Ayush. "And we deal with beings from other realms—angels, fallen angels, and other devils."
As she spoke, Akeno leaned forward, her face close to Ayush's. The curve of her chest pressed against the fabric of her uniform, accentuating her figure in a way that seemed almost subconscious. Ayush could see the way her body moved with effortless grace, and he knew the artifact was subtly amplifying the tension between them. He could feel her attraction growing, even if she didn't fully understand why.
From across the room, Issei's eyes widened. He shifted uncomfortably in his chair as he watched Akeno and Rias interact with Ayush. They were being sensual—more sensual than usual—and it was directed at Ayush. The realization crept up on Issei slowly, like an itch he couldn't scratch. He didn't know what it was, but something about the way they were talking to Ayush made him uneasy.
Rias, for her part, seemed to sense Akeno's increasing closeness to Ayush, and without even realizing it, she adjusted her posture. She crossed her legs, the slit in her skirt revealing more of her smooth, pale thigh, and leaned slightly to the side, giving Ayush a better view of her body. Her movements were graceful, like a queen accustomed to admiration, but there was an unspoken need for attention—something Ayush was more than happy to exploit.
"The supernatural world is complex," Rias said, her voice soft yet commanding. "And it's full of dangers. But I think you could be an asset to us."
Ayush smiled, keeping his tone smooth and confident. "I'd like to learn more," he said, letting the artifact hum gently beneath the surface, drawing Rias and Akeno closer to him without them realizing it.
The conversation continued, with Rias and Akeno explaining more about the supernatural, though their words often drifted off into casual flirtation. Akeno, in particular, seemed to take pleasure in pushing the boundaries. She leaned in close to Ayush whenever she spoke, her lips barely inches from his ear, her voice a low, seductive whisper. At one point, she casually brushed her hand against his arm, the contact lingering for just a moment longer than necessary.
Issei noticed.
His discomfort grew as he watched the scene unfold before him. Rias and Akeno were behaving differently, and for the first time, Issei felt like an outsider in a conversation he was usually at the center of. He tried to ignore it, telling himself that Rias and Akeno were just being polite to Ayush. But the way they were positioned—the way Akeno's body seemed to naturally curve toward Ayush, the way Rias's legs were crossed so perfectly, revealing just enough of her thigh—made Issei feel like something wasn't right.
By the end of the conversation, Ayush had learned everything he needed to know—or at least, he had let them think he did. Rias and Akeno seemed satisfied with how much they had revealed, though their growing curiosity about Ayush lingered in the air like an unspoken question.
As the meeting wound down, Ayush stood up, his eyes locking onto Rias's for just a moment. "Thanks for explaining everything," he said, his voice soft but confident. "I'll admit, I wasn't expecting something like this, but... I'm intrigued."
Rias smiled, her eyes glinting with satisfaction. "We'll be in touch," she said, her voice warm but with an underlying edge. "There's a lot more to show you."
Akeno chuckled softly, stepping forward until she was only inches away from Ayush. "I'm sure you'll fit right in," she purred, her eyes flicking over his form before meeting his gaze again.
Issei, sitting awkwardly in his chair, watched the exchange with a tight expression. He forced a laugh, trying to break the tension. "Yeah, man. You'll be fine," he said, though there was a hint of discomfort in his voice that wasn't there before.
As Ayush left the clubroom, he could feel the artifact's power humming within him, the attraction between him and Rias and Akeno growing stronger with each encounter. The seed had been planted, and now it was only a matter of time before it fully bloomed.
And as for Issei? Ayush knew that the cracks were starting to form. Issei could sense something, even if he couldn't fully understand it yet. But soon, he would realize just how out of his depth he was.
Ayush smiled to himself. Everything was going according to plan.
