Chapter 215: Ch 50 Part 2
With Naruto
Moments Prior
Naruto stood at the heart of the chaos, his body, wracked with exhaustion and exhilaration, pulsed with divine radiance. The glow within him had not dimmed—it had transformed, reshaped, and surged forth with newfound purpose. Every breath he took resonated with the omnipotent rhythm of the divine heartbeat, no longer an external force, but an integral part of him.
His emerald eyes, ablaze with celestial fire, flickered as Oracis's voice echoed within him, clinical and precise.
Ascension process underway. Adapting vessel integrity… recalibrating structural framework… purging unstable elements.
Naruto felt it—deep within his bones, in the very marrow of his existence. His cells thrummed with energy, each one evolving to accommodate the sheer magnitude of power flowing through him. His skin tingled, glowing faintly with streaks of golden light that wove intricate patterns across his form before settling beneath the surface. His body, once limited by the forces it contained, was now something more, something Divine.
Sacred Gear evolution at seventy-five percent. Refining divine conduits. Neurological pathways restructuring. Heart synchronization nearing completion.
His breathing deepened, his body feeling both foreign and familiar, as though he was becoming what he had always been destined to be. But then, amidst the transformation, a presence stirred within him—ancient and infinite.
A voice, warm and resonant, filled with a love that could cradle entire worlds.
"It is a joy to awaken within thee, mine successor."
Naruto's breath caught. The voice was not a mere echo of the past; it was alive, vibrant, filled with an understanding that transcended time itself. It carried the weight of biblical creation, yet it spoke with a familiarity that felt like a guiding hand upon his shoulder.
"Kivren?" Naruto whispered, recognition settling within him.
The voice—his voice, once belonging to the Biblical God—continued with a gentle reverence. "Thou hast walked a path wrought with trials, yet here thou stand. Strong. Unbowed. Ready."
Naruto clenched his fists, feeling the immense presence woven into his very being, as though the essence of creation itself had found its home within him.
"Hast thou known love, Naruto Uzumaki?"
The question struck deep, bypassing his mind and piercing directly into his soul. He had faced many questions in his life—some as simple as survival, others as complex as the fate of worlds—but this one, spoken in such a way, held a weight he hadn't been prepared for.
Love.
His breathing hitched, his mind unraveling memories he had locked away, moments he had once cherished but had long since buried beneath the passage of time.
A shy smile beneath the moonlight, lavender eyes filled with unwavering devotion. Soft, trembling fingers reaching for his hand, her touch hesitant yet resolute. The way she had always been there, even when he had been too blind to see her.
Hinata.
A part of him clenched at the thought of her name, at the image of her face. It was a warmth that had once been his, something that once defined him in a way even he hadn't fully understood. She loved him before anyone else had, before he had become a hero, before the world had seen him as anything but a failure. She loved Naruto, not the legend, not the god—but the boy who once dreamed of being Hokage.
Understanding the look on Naruto's face, Kivren's voice softened, carrying the weight of ages past.
"I, too, have known love."
Naruto listened, transfixed, as the entity within him spoke with wistful longing.
"Once, I did love a celestial goddess beyond our realm—a being of divine grace, luminous and eternal. My love for her was boundless, yet my fate was sealed. She knew of my impending death, and with sorrow in her eyes, she spoke unto me, 'If I can defy the inevitable, if I should endure past my prophesied end, I shall wait for you, and together we shall rejoice for eternity.'"
Naruto's heart ached at the bittersweet tale, the depth of Kivren's longing echoing within him.
"And so," Kivren continued, "I departed, knowing not if I would return. Yet hope, my successor, is eternal."
Naruto's gaze drifted into the endless void around him. He understood too well the desperation, the yearning, the foolish yet undeniable hope that love brought. A soft, bitter smile touched his lips.
"Love makes you believe the most foolish things," he murmured.
Kivren's laugh was gentle, filled with understanding. "Indeed."
Naruto exhaled, his voice quiet but steady. "I had someone once. Back in my world." His eyes darkened with memories—moments of joy, of heartbreak, of unconditional love. "She loved me without expectation, without asking for anything in return. She showed me what it meant to be loved when I didn't know how."
His tone almost broke as he continued. "She died. I came here believing I could bring her back. She promised me she would return…" A hollow chuckle escaped him. "I thought if I just tried hard enough, pushed far enough… I could make it happen."
He paused, heavy with the weight of regret.
"But when I finally tried, she told me to stop. Told me to live my life, to find someone new." His voice cracked, his eyes shimmering with emotion. "I thought it was impossible. How could anyone replace her?"
He swallowed hard, his lips curling into a small, bittersweet smile. "But I found someone. Someone with the same kindness in her eyes, not just in color, but in how she sees me." His gaze softened, his voice trembling with emotion. "She didn't know love at first… but I showed her, the way Hinata once showed me."
His heart swelled with a warmth that dwarfed the divine energies swirling around him.
"She's the sun in my darkened void. The smile that clears my storm. The anchor that keeps me grounded when everything else falls apart." His voice was firm now, unwavering. "She is Grayfia Lucifuge."
Silence stretched between him and Kivren, filled only with the thrum of divine energy. And then, Naruto felt it—an overwhelming sense of approval, of pride, of understanding.
"Thou has found balance not only in power, but in love."
The light around Naruto grew warmer, enveloping him in a radiant embrace.
"Then thou are ready."
A surge of golden radiance flooded Naruto's being
As Kivren's radiance intensified, Naruto felt the divine warmth flood his being, filling every crevice of his soul. The light engulfed him completely, and for a brief moment, there was only silence—an overwhelming stillness that stretched across the vast void of the Dimensional Gap, as if existence itself held its breath.
And then, the brilliance receded, and as Naruto's vision adjusted, he found himself on his knees, trembling yet unwavering, staring at the most breathtaking sight he had ever seen.
Grayfia.
She stood before him, ethereal and resplendent, clad in a traditional wedding dress woven from threads of pure silver and lavender, embroidered with intricate celestial patterns that shimmered in the endless darkness of the void. The gown cascaded around her like flowing starlight, and the delicate veil that framed her face made her silver eyes all the more striking. Her silver hair, usually bound in a severe bun, now fell in soft waves around her shoulders, cascading like moonlight.
Naruto's breath caught in his throat.
His own attire shifted in response, his battle-worn clothes giving way to traditional ceremonial robes—pure white with accents of gold, intricate patterns of divine light tracing across the fabric as though the heavens themselves had woven them.
For a long moment, they simply stared at one another, caught in the quiet gravity of the moment. The realization settled between them, slow and inevitable, weaving itself into the very air they breathed—this was real. Not a fleeting dream, not some illusion conjured by exhausted minds, but something tangible, something that had been ordained long before they could even comprehend it. It had been written into the fabric of fate, not by force, not by obligation, but by the very essence of what they had become to one another. And with that truth came something far more profound—the rapid, breathless cadence of their hearts, not from shock or disbelief, but from acceptance. From joy.
Naruto's body still trembled, the weight of all that had led him here pressing against his limbs, but the moment he looked at her, the moment his emerald eyes met silver, none of it mattered. His exhaustion, his burdens, his struggles—all of it faded beneath the warmth that bloomed in his chest. His hands lifted, unsteady but unrelenting, reaching forward—not just to touch her, but to hold onto this, to make it real in the only way that mattered. This wasn't hesitation, nor was it a question. This was a truth that had already been written into his soul, one he would claim now, one he had no intention of ever letting go.
Grayfia's heart pounded in her chest, her eyes wide with emotion. Tears shimmered at the corners of her eyes, but they did not fall. A wave of unbidden love, deep and all-consuming, crashed over her. It was as if the very cosmos had conspired to bring them to this moment, weaving their souls together across time and space.
Without hesitation, without doubt, she took his hands.
The moment their fingers intertwined, a gentle glow emanated from their joined hands, and the omnipresent heartbeat that had thrummed through the void synchronized into a single, harmonious rhythm.
Standing nearby, Red could only stare, utterly flabbergasted by the spectacle unfolding before him. His molten-gold eyes darted between Naruto and Grayfia, then to the strong divine presence radiating from Kivren, and back to the swirling energies around them. He shifted uncomfortably, his massive tail swishing as he muttered under his breath, "What the hell is even happening here?"
But no answer came. There was only Kivren, standing between them now, his form fully revealed. The divine presence of the Biblical God, Kivren, stood resplendent between the two, his seven golden wings stretching wide, his eyes gleaming with approval. His halo shone like the dawn of creation, and in that moment, his voice resounded through the Gap.
"As the God, thy Successor, and in the presence of the Holy Dragon, I, Kivren, ask thee—Naruto Uzumaki and Grayfia Lucifuge—dost thou willingly join in union, from this moment forth unto eternity, allowing none to separate thee?"
The words carried such weight, such divine power, that the very void seemed to still, as if awaiting their answer.
Grayfia, still holding Naruto's hands, felt a shiver race down her spine. Her heart was pounding in her chest, not from fear, but from the sheer certainty that this—he—was what she had been waiting for her entire life.
Her lips parted, her voice soft yet filled with unwavering conviction.
"Yes. I vow to stand beside him for eternity."
Naruto, his fingers tightening around hers, gazed into her eyes, feeling the depth of her love, her joy, her unwavering loyalty. His heart, for so long burdened with loss, now felt light, whole.
A smile—genuine, full of warmth—spread across his lips, and his voice, steady and resolute, echoed through the void.
"Yes. Always and forever."
At their words, Kivren's eyes softened with paternal pride. His wings spread wide, and with a gentle motion, he brought his hands together. A soft golden glow surrounded Naruto and Grayfia, binding them in an ethereal embrace, sealing their vows in the fabric of creation itself.
The Gap shuddered with the sheer magnitude of the divine blessing being woven into existence.
"Then let it be known across all realms, all existence, and beyond—this union is sanctified, eternal, and unbreakable. Let none seek to divide what hath been brought together in love."
Kivren's voice echoed, resonating with a power that transcended time and reality itself. His decree was not a mere proclamation—it was law, woven into the very fabric of creation. The air trembled, the swirling void stilled, and for the first time in eternity, balance was not an abstract force, but something tangible, something alive.
As the soft, golden glow enveloped Naruto and Grayfia, it was done. Their union, spoken into existence by divinity itself, had become an immutable truth, one that would echo across the stars, across realms, across the very foundation of all things..
Grayfia's eyes shimmered with tears, and Naruto, overcome with emotion, pressed his forehead to hers, his hands still clutching hers tightly.
"I love you," he whispered, his voice trembling with the weight of everything they had endured to reach this moment.
A single tear slipped down Grayfia's cheek, and her lips curled into a soft smile. "I love you too."
Red groaned, rubbing his temple with a clawed hand. "I swear if doves start flying out of nowhere, I'm leaving."
Naruto chuckled, his gaze never leaving Grayfia's. "Shut up, Red."
Kivren's voice, amused yet filled with endless wisdom, spoke once more. "Love, my successor, is the greatest force of all. Thou hast embraced it fully. Now, go forth, and guard it with all thy might."
With those final words, Kivren's form began to fade, his divine light descending as the celestial ceremony came to a close.
As the golden glow surrounding them faded, leaving only the soft luminescence of their entwined souls, a familiar voice echoed within Naruto's mind—calm, precise, and absolute.
Divine Covenant has been forged.
