Chapter 5: A Shot Of Love.
As she found footing, Rita began to enjoy the rhythm of the café. She learned to anticipate the lunch rush, expelling juggling multiple tables and orders with ease. She discovered the joy of crafting perfect cups of coffee and making customers smile with her creations.
One regular customer, an elderly woman named Sophie, took a particular liking to Rita. Sophie would come in every afternoon, and Rita would take the time to chat with her, learning about her life and sharing stories of her own.
Sophia talked about her son Ethan, who had gone to Europe to study masters in business. His grandfather wanted him to take over the business before he died. Sophia loved her son Ethan. She liked talking about her childhood and her childhood friends who she no longer heard of.
Ethan was in his early thirties and was determined to take over his grandfather's company. Her only worry was he always kept busy with his grandfather trying to learn more skills in business management. Rita too talked about her past life and how she became a school drop out. On the other hand, Sophia encouraged her to go back to school and pursue her goals after she gives birth.
As days turned into weeks, Rita's passion for her job grew. She loved the fast-paced environment, the creativity of crafting drinks, and the sense of satisfaction that came with making customers happy.
One busy afternoon, as Rita was juggling multiple tables, a group of rowdy customers walked in. They were loud, boisterous and clearly looking for trouble. Rita's instinct told her to be cautious, but she was determined to provide excellent service.
As she took their orders and delivered their drinks, the group began to get increasingly rude and demanding. Rita remained calm and professional, but inside, she was shaken. She didn't want those customers to get the best of her.
Just as she was starting to feel overwhelmed, Carlson, her manager, appeared at her side and asked, Hey, Rita, how is it going? Eyeing the rowdy group.
Rita replied, "It's okay, I think," Rita replied, trying to sound confident. Carlson nodded. Well, I am here to help. Let's work together to make sure these customers leave happy.
Together, rita and Carlson expertly managed the group, diffusing their rowdiness with charm and excellent service. As they left the café, the group even apologized for their behavior and thanked Rita and Carlson for their patience.
Rita breathed a sigh of relief as the door closed behind them. Thanks, Carlson. I don't know what I would have done without you. Carlson smiled. "That's what teamwork is all about, Rita. You are doing great. Just remember, stay calm, stay professional, and always put the customer first."
Rita nodded, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. She was finding her rhythm, and she was determined to keep it going.
As Rita and her manager, Carlson, worked together, they grew closer and closer. They started to anticipate each other's moves, and their team work became seemless. But as they spent more time together, Rita started to feel a flutter in her chest whenever Carlson was near. She couldn't quite explain it, but she felt drawn to Carlson in a way she had never experienced before.
Carlson, too, had started to feel a spark of attraction towards Rita. He admired Rita's kindness, her work ethic, and her beautiful smile. But neither of them dared to speak their minds, fearing that it might ruin their professional relationship.
Carlson, thirty years old, is a driven and ambitious entrepreneur who has taken the reins of his father's successful business. Growing up, he learned the ins and outs of the company from his father, who taught him the importance of hard work and dedication.
After taking over the business, Carlson has proven himself to be a shrewd and innovative leader, expanding the company's reach and increasing its profits. However, his personal life has been a different story.
Carlson has always been cautious when it comes to love, having been burned in the past by gold diggers who were only interested in her family's wealth. He has been an eye for spotting those who are after his future, and has learned to keep his guard up.
But despite his tough exterior, Carlson has a soft spot for those in need and is always willing to lend a helping hand. And then he met Rita, the new barista at the café. There was something about Rita kind heart and genuine smile that caught Carlson off guard. For the first time in his life, Carlson finds himself unable to shake off thoughts of someone who isn't after his wealth or status. He is drawn to Rita authentically and vulnerability, and can't help but wander of this could be the start of something real.
As Carlson navigates his growing feelings for Rita, he must confront his own fears and insecurities. Can he trust Rita with his heart, he thought to himself, or will his experience forever shape her views on love?
One day, Carlson surprised Rita by inviting her for dinner at a soy restaurant. Rita was taken aback but couldn't deny the excitement she felt. As they sat down at the table, Carlson took Rita's hand and looked into her eyes.
Rita, from the moment you started working at the café, I knew you were special. You light up the room with your presence, and I feel so lucky to have you by my side, but I was afraid of ruining our working relationship. Rita's heart skipped a beat as she looked into Carlson's eyes. "I feel the same way, Carlson. I have been wanting to tell you, but I was scared too."
As they gazed into each other's eyes, Rita knew that she had found someone special. And as they shared their first kiss at the stars, Rita knew that their love was meant to be.
After the romantic dinner, Carlson drives Rita home. The evening is filled with a sweet tension between them. As they pull up to Rita's house, Carlson turns off the engine and turns to Rita with a smile.
