Rise of Cerberus

Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Marcus knelt down before the vampire king, Vardo, his eyes cast downward in a show of submission. But his heart seethed with anger and resentment.

"Look at me, Marcus," King Vardo commanded, his voice dripping with arrogance.

Marcus hesitated for a moment before slowly raising his gaze to meet the king's. His eyes blazed with hatred, and for a moment, King Vardo's expression faltered.

But the king quickly regained his composure, his face twisting into a sneer. "You dare to show hatred towards me?" he spat. "I am your king, and you will show me respect."

Marcus's jaw clenched, but he remained silent.

King Vardo turned to his son, Prince Damien, who stood beside him, a smug look on his face. "My son has told me of your treachery, Marcus," the king said. "You have conspired against him, and for that, you will pay."

The king's eyes flashed with anger, and he raised his hand, pointing at Marcus. "I banish you from the world of supernaturals," he declared. "You will be cast into the depths of Hades, where you will suffer for eternity."

As the king spoke, a dark portal opened behind him, revealing a swirling vortex of flames and shadows. King Vardo gestured to the portal, and two burly vampire guards stepped forward, seizing Marcus by the arms.

But Marcus was not one to go quietly into the night. With a sudden burst of strength, he broke free from the guards' grasp and launched himself at them.

In a flash of steel and fang, Marcus took down the two guards, their bodies crumpling to the ground. The vampire king's eyes widened in shock, and Prince Damien took a step back, his face pale.

Marcus stood tall, his chest heaving with exertion, as he glared at the vampire king. "You may have banished me," he declared in a loud voice, "but I promise you, King Vardo, that I will be back. And when I am, I will bring my revenge upon you and your entire race."

The vampire king's face twisted with rage, and he snarled at Marcus. "You dare to threaten me?" he spat.

Marcus smiled, a cold, calculated smile. "I don't threaten, Your Majesty," he said. "I promise. And I always keep my promises."

With that, Marcus turned and walked towards the portal, his head held high. The vampire king's guards hesitated, unsure of what to do, but King Vardo's voice stopped them.

"Let him go," the king said, his voice dripping with venom. "Let him go to Hades, where he will rot for eternity."

As Marcus stepped through the portal, he turned back to face the vampire king. "I'll be back," he said, his voice echoing through the halls.

And with that, he disappeared into the depths of Hades, leaving the vampire king and his court to tremble at the thought of his return.

Elara, the vampire princess, watched the scene unfold from a distance, tears streaming down her face. She knew that Marcus was innocent, and she feared for his safety in the depths of Hades.

But she also knew that Marcus was not one to be underestimated. He was a warrior, a fighter, and he would stop at nothing to clear his name and exact his revenge.

And as she turned away from the scene, Elara couldn't help but wonder what the future held for Marcus, and for the vampire kingdom.
