Revenge of the Treacherous Shadow

Kai dreamed of a mountain, overflowing with all different types of animals. Years pasted and then he saw one animal, stronger than the rest. At first she was a bird, then she turned humanoid. Kai saw her becoming stronger and stronger, taking as companions, four different beasts: A dragon, a wolf, a hare, and a snake . She took them on a journey through the mountains, until, when they reached the peak of the final mountain, she was struck in the back by the animals, each of them tearing a piece of her flesh and blood, scattering her divine lineage all over the mountains. Then the dream ended.

Waking up, Kai found himself inside of a dimly lit cave. Small drops of dew fell onto his face. He looked around, trying to get a feel for the situation. As morning mist covered most of the cave, he activated his awakened ability to look through it. What he saw shocked him.

Hundreds upon hundreds of dragons where sleeping in the same cave. This horrified Kai, however he kept is bearings, not wanting to draw too much attention to himself, he tried to stand up to make an exit, but he fell. His body felt unfamiliar. Then he looked at himself.

"What am I? Have I become a dragon!"

Looking upon himself, Kai saw scales. His scales were a radiant red, shining through the mist. He looked down and saw that he had four different legs, each of them adorned with his incandescent scales, each of them having massive and sharp claws. He then felt his wings, two big appendages stuck into his back, the unfamiliar limbs placed upon his body made him feel weird but at the same time not weird. As if the wings were always there.

Kai, hearing the nightmare spell say this. He opened his runes to check the evolved attribute.

His eyes widened in shock,

"Does that mean that for the rest of the nightmare i will be a dragon? And why is there a question mark next to it? will I be-"

"rustle"

Kai's musings would be cut off by sudden sharp movements, everywhere around him, the dragons started running outside of the cave. The dragons, upon reaching the entrance, jumped out of the cave and started flying. 

Kai looked at all of them. He knew that in a nightmare he needed to gain information on what to do, so to do that, Kai decided to follow the group. Imitating their motions, Kai tried to run out of the cave, but was sorely disappointed when he fell over after one step. 

"This is going to be hard, Isn't it?"

Effie was hungry, ever since she had been brought into this nightmare that was all she felt. Hunger, and sleepiness. She had been put into the body of a wolf, in a dead forest near massive mountains. She had spent months without a meal, and it was getting to her. 

Then suddenly, she saw it. She had been moving forward in the forest trying to find something. Then her eyes landed upon it. A group of mice. Each of them looking immaculate and delicious. 

Normally, Effie would've abhorred eating something as disgusting as mice, but she needed to survive. She needed to live. So she attacked the den. There was only one problem. They were all awakened monsters.

Effie was in dire straits. She knew that she was hungry but fighting a massive group of awakened monsters at her current state was suicide. But then again, she would die without eating. So she attacked them.

Using her teeth to attack the first monster, she was able to land a hit. Drawing blood. This made her smile, the smell of animal blood turned her on, and for some reason she just felt better when she smelt or even saw blood.

After hearing the spell announce her first kill, she turned insane, as if something snapped inside of her. She became berserk, killing, maiming, and doing anything she could to destroy the mice.

Upon killing all of them, Effie started coming back to her senses.

"what the hell did I just do."

looking all around her, she saw the half eaten bodies of the mice. Bile rose from her throat as she threw up everything. Feeling disgusted at herself for what she had done. She then decided to lay down in the mice nest while checking the new attributes.

[Bloodthirsty]:You crave blood. The more blood your enemy spills, the stronger you become.

[Berserker]: After crossing a certain threshold of damage recieved, you will become berserk. You will fight until you die, or your enemy dies.

"What the fuck has this nightmare turned me into."
