Chapter 32: Chapter 24 Set becomes more powerful
In Set's vast temple, its walls inscribed with glowing red hieroglyphs that pulse in time with the clang of metal and the groans of immense chains. Slaves struggle to crank massive gears, their faces glistening with sweat as the chains creak and groan. Slowly, Set, in his true form—a monstrous, metallic, jackal-headed being—descends from the shadows above.
His black, jackal-like head gleams under the fiery glow of molten metal pits, with his crimson eyes radiating a malevolent light.
His metallic body reflects distorted images of the slaves below, emphasizing his dominance. Dark gold highlights along his limbs flicker like molten veins, underscoring his divine but unnatural form.
As Set is lowered into the molten metal, the liquid bubbles and hisses, emitting plumes of steam and sparks that shoot into the air.
The roar he releases reverberates like a combination of a beast's snarl and roar, causing the temple itself to tremble.
The surface of the molten metal glows intensely, illuminating the horrified expressions of the slaves.
Slowly, the chains tighten, pulling Set back up. His form emerges, glowing red-hot, with molten metal dripping from his frame and solidifying mid-air into blackened droplets that shatter on the stone floor. Heat distortion waves ripple around him, and his footsteps sizzle and leave glowing imprints on the ground.
A group of muscular minotaurs, their bodies scarred and gleaming with sweat, carry the massive wings of an unknown god.
The wings, dark metallic with faint golden patterns, twitch unnaturally, as if resisting their fate. Sparks fly as the minotaurs hammer them into Set's back, each strike reverberating through the temple like thunder.
Set's body jerks slightly with every blow, the molten heat of his form fusing with the wings. When the final hammer strike lands, the wings extend with a deafening metallic screech, their stiff, jagged edges casting long, sharp shadows across the chamber.
Also, Set uses his own divine powers to tame these powers, but it is never hundred percent loyal to Set.
A minotaur approaches holding the glowing, crystalline brain of Thoth with a large metallic picker. As it draws closer, the top of Set's jackal-like head splits open with a grinding sound, revealing a dark void lined with glowing red energy. The brain is lowered into the cavity, its light flashing erratically as it interfaces with Set's consciousness. Sparks and arcs of blue lightning erupt, and Set's eyes flicker momentarily with a sharp, electric blue hue before returning to their blood-red glow.
Another minotaur approaches with the pulsating golden-red heart, the heat of its aura warping the air around it. Set's chest slowly opens, revealing an intricate mechanical cavity. The heart is placed within, and as the cavity closes, golden-red veins spread across Set's torso like molten lava cooling into intricate patterns. A deep, resonant pulse echoes through the temple, signifying the heart's integration.
The final artifact, the piercing blue Eye of Horus, is brought forward and positioned on Set's forehead. As it fuses into place, the eye emits a blinding flash of light, illuminating the entire chamber. For a moment, Set's perspective shifts, showing a multi-layered view of the world—past, present, and potential futures—all overlaid in a chaotic swirl of colors. The eye glows faintly as it settles, its energy flowing through Set like a network of glowing blue veins.
A massive bucket of water, glowing faintly with divine energy, is tipped over Set. The water cascades down his form, releasing bursts of steam and hissing sounds that echo through the chamber.
The cooling process solidifies his molten form, the red glow fading into a dark, polished black with golden highlights. The steam clears, revealing Set fully augmented—towering, imposing, and grotesquely majestic. His wings twitch slightly, still stiff and mechanical, a subtle hint of their resistance.
Set's jackal-headed face. His red eyes burn with malice, but faint cracks of gold and blue energy flicker across his form—subtle signs of instability in his stolen power. He stretches his wings with a screeching sound, the temple vibrating under their sheer weight. The scene ends with Set looking up at a towering statue of himself, his voice low and menacing."I am the god of gods… and soon, all shall kneel."
Set watched from the his Temple, The Obelisk is a towering, slender spire that dominates the landscape, crafted with intricate golden details. The base is wide and ornate, gradually tapering as it rises into the sky. The top vanishes into the clouds, emphasizing its immense.
The tower is made of gleaming gold, with metallic textures that shimmer under the sunlight. It reflects light brilliantly, adding a divine and overpowering aura to the structure. The surface of the obelisk features engraved patterns and reliefs, likely depicting scenes or symbols of Set's dominance and divinity. The architecture integrates sharp, geometric lines with a smooth finish, exuding a sense of order and control.
The Obelisk serves as a representation of Set's power, ambition, and control over the gods and mortals alike. Its height and grandeur signify his dominance over Egypt.
The base of tower has faces of Set's face as entry point, they are divided in his god form Jackal-like sculpture, with its open mouth, sharp teeth, and menacing horns, looms over the construction below.
To the right is a massive human face of Set sculpture with stoic features.
As Set enjoyed the view, Urshu and his fellow servants bowed, while Urshu spoke up."My Lord, we have found the location of Ammit's location."
Set was there when Ammit was sealed, but Osiris was the one tasked with hiding her Ushabtis, he heard how his father Ra made was the one who made the barrier.
Set turned and narrowed his eyes at Urshu, who explained."Although we found it, there is barrier surrounding it. From what we understood from Osiris's scrolls, it seems the barrier is created by Lord Ra."
Set frowned and muttered."It seems, it is time to visit my father."
Set knew to break the barrier, he needed Ra's spear. Also, he wanted answers for why he was exiled to desert by Ra and not allowed to have children.
