"No, I don't like those vases, replace it."

Kaizer paused and peered inside Eugene's room. He had just returned from the office and despite his low mood he wanted to stay by his wife's side. But what welcomes him is the chaotic scene of servants walking back and forth.

"Did you not like the room I prepare for you?"

The servants froze and immediately bows their heads upon seeing the master and took a peek at the marriage partner of their Highness. Somehow, they feel like since the arrival of their's master fiance, the mansion has never been peaceful like before.

"Yes. I don't like it. You don't have an eye at all."

Eugene clicks his tongue and patted the space beside him, "Don't stand there and sit. Aren't you here to spend time with me?"

Kaizer's heart softens and his anger immediately subsides.

"Well. I miss you."

Eugene chuckles, "Already? I thought you don't want to meet me because you were angry."

"I can't be angry for long when it comes to you."

Eugene raises his eyebrow and lets Kaizer's hand wrap around his waist. This scene made the servants surprise and immediately resume their work. They only have one word in their mind and that is, the fiance who arrived at the grand dukedom is favored and cannot be offended.

They could only swallow as their instinct for survival worked.

Kaizer saw that Eugeneis is trying to bend to pick some macarons so he pushed his wife back and grabbed it, feeding the other party to his heart's content.

"You like macarons?"

Eugene lowered his head and bit the macarons that Kaizer has been holding.

"They're sweet. I like it."

Kaizer noted his wife's preference so that he can let the kitchen know what to prepare.

"Right. Father and my little brother will arrive at the dukedom but don't worry I make them live at the annex so you won't see them dangling around."

Eugene frown, "You have a little brother?"

Kaizer put down the plate and wipe his wife's mouth: "Yes. I'll explain it to you so can you let me stay with you for the night? I don't want to hide things, after all, we'll become a life partner. I want you to know something about me as much as I want to know everything about you."

Eugene stare at Kaizer's sinscere face.

"Just one night."

Kaizer grinned, "I'm happy with that."

Eugene turns his head and avoids Kaizer's gaze. His heart couldn't help but throb and suddenly realize that Kaizer is acting differently from the past. Not that aggressive anymore ad every move is likely to please him.

"Do you like me that much?"

"I love you."

Eugene frown, "Love? Kaizer do you have an idea what is love?"

Kaizer paused, "Why are you asking?"

"I want to know."

Kaizer sigh: "Well, love is wanting to protect someone. Giving that person everything without any condition. Love is when you want someone to be with you until your time ends. It is when you are set to spend your lifetime with that person without invalidating their presence. Treasure them, pamper them, don't let any harm befall them. Everything that means to keep that person safe and stay by my side, even if the most devious scheme is done, I will continue to reflect so that my excessive desire can be suited to the word love."

Eugene recall what Raphael had recited under hypnosis.

"Love is not selfish but when you think you are losing yourself for love, then it's not worth it."

Eugene's eyelashes tremble.

"Kaizer. Your love is so hard to bear."

Kaizer paused and his eyes turn red, "Eugene, are you still rejecting me?"

"No, I just feel like, I'm not worth it."

Because he couldn't give such unselfish love to Kaizer.

He is that horrible type of person that he couldn't help feeling suffocate by Kaizer's extreme passion for him. Eugene thinks that Kaizer didn't deserve someone like him. Someone who had an affair for his own gain, and someone who will sacrifice himself but not for Kaizer.

"Eugene, how can you say that? You are only for me."

Eugene breathed, "Kaizer, have you forgotten? I cheated on you once and I can do it twice. Do you still think I'm worth such love?"

Eugene saw that the servants is listening to their conversation so he angrily dismissed them while waiting for Kaizer's reply.

"Eugene. I can forgive you for cheating."

Eugene shook his head, "No Kaizer, you shouldn't forgive someone who can't see your worth."

Kaizer's eyes turn red.

"I can't just let you go. I've been waiting for you for thousands of years. I have also done evil deeds so I'm a horrible person too. I don't mind your mistakes because I do create countless mistakes, I don't care if you touch someone when you have never even willingly done it to me. I will wait Eugene, I will wait even if it takes another hundred years. I won't feel tired loving you."

Eugene's eyes turn misty.

"Thousands of years? Kazier even though I know you deserve suffering for what have you done to me in those worlds. I can't just think of myself worth it, to be with you."

Kaizer couldn't help his tears and kneeled in front of Eugene, holding his beloved hand.

"Why? Eugene can you give me a chance? I will change. I'm ready to change. As long as you give me a chance I will become a better person for you."

Eugene also cried.

"It's not you who is the only problem...but also me."

"No. You are fine as you are. It's me right? I've done wrong things many times. I've killed you saying it was love when it's not. Eugene, I'm the problem here. I'm aware of my bad side, I never intend to change it but for you...For you Eugene, I can be a good man."

Eugene wipes his tears.

Eugene smile bitterly, "I can't forgive that I cheated on you just because I wanted strength."

"So stop loving me. We don't deserve each other."

Kaizer slowly stand up and look at Eugene with a haggard face saying, "You are probably tired. Eugene, rest first. We will talk about this again next time."

"And I hope that next time, there won't be this kind of conversation."

Eugene stiffen, "What do you mean?"

"I will marry you."

"Huh?"

"If you think you are dirty because you cheated then don't worry. I will still marry you."

"Kaizer!"

"Eugene, I won't marry your body. I will marry your soul. Your body is just an accessory."

Eugene looks at Kaizer dumbfoundedly and anger erupted in him despite how his heart keeps pounding upon hearing such words.

"I TOLD YOU I----"

"I will not stop loving you! I will marry you!"

Eugene gritted his teeth, "You want to love me? Fine! Let's see how long can you love me!"

Kaizer didn't want to argue anymore so he left Eugene's room and go back to the office to resume the paper works he set aside. To also avoid thinking about the conversation he had earlier. For him, Eugene is just saying those words out of his temper. After all, they have been talking about marriage at Warzone.

He doesn't know what makes Eugene change his mind.
