As I approached the restaurant where the meeting was scheduled, I looked at the system window showing me a feature that had opened up after my recent promotion. Namely, I could now shop in the in-game shop. Weapons... well I now have the awesome dark attire skill. Except, the shadowblade can be used not only in place of regular weapons, but also with them. The cloak simply covers the weapon in my hand, and it seems like the power of the weapon itself seems to merge with the power of the skill. Remarkably, even if I have a dagger in my hand but the vestment takes the form of a two-handed sword, the weapon will function with the two-handed blade skill bonus. Likewise with other equipment. And the shop just had some interesting lots on this.
Knight Killer
Attack +75
Deals additional damage to enemies in heavy armour.
That's not a bad dagger.
And here...
Sword of Thunder.
Attack +100.
Builds up a charge and deals electricity damage every third strike.
Moreover, from selling various not particularly useful items from monsters earlier, I had enough money to buy... except for...
Guardian's Sabre.
Attack +50
Increases the effectiveness of the shield in the second hand
A one-handed sword for a tank with a shield. The cheapest weapon on the list I didn't even want to spend on. I'd rather save up gold to buy something better. And, in fact, these items were at the top of the list, but above them were lots with just crazy prices. And the shop also sells armour. And consumables, health, mana, stamina potions. Well, while I fought monsters at a fairly relaxed pace and did not need hilk. Besides, I already had some stock of various potions. Several vials of various potions had fallen out of the boxes for daily quests, and lately there had only been strong elixirs.
Meanwhile, I had already approached the restaurant and closed the shop window for now.
- Mr Jin Wu! - Eugene cheered up after noticing me.
Nodding, I walked closer, sitting down at the table.
- И? Why did you need me? - I'll get right to the point.
- Ah... um, yeah... thanks again for saving me. - The guy bowed. - And I have a business proposition for you, Mr Wu!
- I'm listening.
- You see... - The guy sat down at the table with his hands folded in front of him. - I'm going to keep going out on raids... and....
- You need a strong team. - I went on for him. - You've seen what I can do, and you need my strength. What's the price?
- Ahem... - The guy coughed embarrassedly into his fist.
- Yes... ten million, for each raid. - He gave it out.
- Erm...
I tried to show my scepticism with my facial expression.
- I mean, twenty! No, thirty! - The guy got worried.
- Haa... so, okay, I don't know how long I can raid with you.
- Only... nineteen raids is enough, yeah.
- Hmm, I see. You need twenty closed raids. Do you want to become a guild master?
Eugene frowned, but immediately smiled.
- That's right! You've already heard, I'm the son of the head of Yu Jin Construction Company. As a hunter, you should know that monster parts and various dungeon items are highly valued in many industries. And we use them too...
- So you decided to form your own guild to reach the self-sufficiency level of the company.
- Yes...
I grinned contentedly.
- Father wants to hire an S-rank hunter as the head of the guild. But... if I can take that position, we won't have to let outsiders into the company's affairs.
- I see. But, since you already know what I'm capable of, don't you think your offer is a bit... stingy? Is that how you feel about the man who saved your life?
- I... I'm... sorry, Wu-san! - After bowing, Eugene almost smashed his face on the table. - Here it is!
And he laid out the construction document.
- Hmm? Why do I need an estimate for the guild building?
- I'll pay you the same amount for these nineteen raids. And that's not counting the loot from the dungeons. - Seriously, the guy said.
- Not bad. - I nodded. Okay, that's fine with me, but, there will be conditions.
- А?
- Two of us will go on raids, the rest will be hired just like Dong-suk, just to complete the set, they don't even have to enter the dungeons.
- But that's just...
- I don't need a support group.
- That's right... if it's Mr Woo....
- Besides, if our team doesn't lose a single person during these nineteen raids, it will have a positive effect on your stats.
- Yes! Eugene was happy.
- If you agree, we'll shake hands. - I nodded, "Maybe I'll work for your guild later.
- Of course! Mr Wu, I'll be happy to work with you!
So we had a deal.
The money he offered was pretty good. It was obvious that he was originally going to offer me a fee in the billions of Won. Even though it was a couple of million dollars, but for Jin Woo, it was just fabulous money. I didn't really know where I was going to spend it. But, it'll come in handy.
Eugene also said he needed a couple more days to prepare. But no more than a week.
And while there's still time.
I decided to check out the Demon Castle.
I've already completed the daily quest, but I haven't accepted the reward yet. This will allow me to fully recover if necessary if I get tired or injured. And actually, I wasn't planning to completely sweep the castle. This dungeon was still too high level for me, but what I remembered about this dungeon was that most of the monsters in the first levels matched the level of C-rank hunters, which wasn't much. Of course, the further you go, the stronger the enemies get, but just by swiping at the ordinary dungeon demons I could raise a couple of levels. And then, by morning, I'll leave the dungeon with the exit stone. I don't usually use them, so I've got some stockpiled.
- Well... let's go. - I sighed.
Using the key near the tower, I entered the fire world.
A plateau with a gate guarded by a three-headed demonic fox.
- Grrr...
- Well, hello there. - I smiled.
I could feel a strong pulse of power from him. The monster was seemingly even stronger than me. But, I still wanted to fight him. At the very least, I could still escape.
- Cloak.
A stream of darkness slammed into me, cloaking my body in grimy armour.
Cerberus, on the other hand, saw it as a threat, and snapped out of his seat, lashing out at me with all his fury.
- Haa...
A model of this fight emerged in my mind, and after waiting a moment, I swung the two-handed weapon that was covered in darkness, forming a shadow weapon to strike the next moment. I put all my strength into this attack, and the monster met with a mighty attack in its dash.
Only one of the cerberus' heads tilted, escaping damage, while the other two heads were partially cut off. One was blown off in its entirety, while the other's blade split only the skull, splattering demonic brains over the hot stone with boiling magma.
In the next instant there was a collision.
Cerberus slammed his carcass into my shoulder. And the impact sent a clang of steel through the neighbourhood.
Suppression!
I could feel the monster shivering from my skill. And also I felt that its momentum of strength was simply rejecting my influence, it would reset the characteristic-reducing effect in a moment. But nevertheless, even if only by a single heartbeat, the cerberus was still dazed and weakened.
And that's pretty damn handy!
I didn't unfold the sword, just the shape of the shadow distorted and a long blade grew out of the hilt, which I stabbed into the monster's third head.
At the same time, the beast's mighty blow came to my side and the hellhound's claws pierced through the armour, entering my body, but not deeply. And, at the same time, I sharply hit the monster from below on the jaw with my knee. At the same time, a shadow peak also grew on that part of the armour, piercing the monster's flesh.
И...
- Raaaa!
While the beast was stunned by the powerful attack, I managed to swing again. The head of the Cerberus, still alive, even though it had been turned into a bloody mess, lifted up as if it was going to howl, but it just couldn't. I only moved sideways and struck from above, knocking out the last of the cerberus' heads.
Your level has been raised!
Your level has been raised!
Your level has been raised!Your level is up!
And the system, as always, was very generous with the rewards.
And just like that, from the monster's body, I got my reward.
The Keeper's Necklace
Rank - B
Dexterity +20
Perception +20
The key to the castle gate
Rank - A
Key to the Demonic Castle Gate. Obtained for killing the gatekeeper.
Cerberus Fang
Material
The necklace gave good bonuses, and if it had to actually be worn, it would be inconvenient. But since it was just taking up space in my equipment slot, its spiked form didn't bother me at all.
- Now...
I bring the cerberus key to the gate.
Mission received!
Collecting demonic souls
Monsters and demons have overrun the Demon Castle. Collect their souls for a reward.
Prerequisite:
0\10000 - demon souls

Item of your choice

Special Reward
Well, I was sure that I wouldn't be able to complete this task the first time, so I wasn't too worried about it. I just hoisted the Shadow Blade on my shoulder and stepped into the blazing inferno. A mirror image of Korea, destroyed, engulfed in flames, and full of bloodthirsty monsters.
- Grrr...
- Here come the locals.
I darted forward, and before the pair of demons that came at me had time to realise anything, I had hacked them all down with a single blow. As I swung, my blade also enlarged further, extending my attack radius.
It was really simple.
The ordinary demons were much weaker than cerberus, so I didn't have much trouble with them.
I fought them over and over again, I didn't even need to look for them. The monsters were coming at me, intent on tearing the intruder apart. And I just chopped up these sacks of experience with legs. Even when I started to get tired, I just drank a potion of stamina, and continued the slaughter.
A couple of times I came across stronger demons, but they were still within my ability to destroy them. And from one of them fell a parchment, which is a pass to the next floor. The passage between the floors itself was a pillar of fire going into the sky. This place was guarded by some pretty strong demons, but after overcoming them, I got to the first floor of the castle, which turned out to be another mirror-world that represented a flaming city.
And, most importantly, there were no less demons here than on the ground floor.
Your level has been raised!
Your level has been raised!
I could have been lost in time, but I checked my watch and realised it wasn't even morning yet.
I only came to my senses when--
Your level has been raised!
A profession change task is available
I checked my status with some surprise. At the same time, I also distributed the bonus points from the daily task reward.
Sung Jin Woo.

I was feeling a bit tired, plus I was also running out of mana. But that was solved with elixirs.
Also during the massacre in the Demon Castle, I got another active skill.
Ruthless chopping level 2.
Deals a monstrous chopping blow with increased damage.
Used with two-handed bladed weapons.
With this skill I just flat out destroyed and stronger demons. So I overcame two floors, and it was just about time to go out. In any case, after reaching the fortieth level, I directly felt impatient. I wanted to finally get a profession. And, I was absolutely sure that it wouldn't be a choice or a random. The direction of my development was already predetermined. But, I was quite happy with the power I had been given.
- Hahh...
And I didn't even have to use the escape stone. The Demon Castle was not an instant dungeon, but a different type of dungeon. Here, you don't have to kill the boss to get out. You just need to use the key. And after leaving the dungeon, I also made sure that entering it again, I can choose the floor on which I want to be. So then I can pick up where I left off.
But, before I tackle the prof assignment, I need to get some rest.
The very next day, I was contacted by the association.
When a new gate opens and no one is in a hurry to clear it, the government can call in hunters of the appropriate rank. In a way, it's our duty, granted in exchange for favours. Without it, that Jin Wu simply wouldn't be able to take care of his mother with the income he had from his raids. However, hunters could still refuse the mission, but let's just say it wouldn't reflect well on their stats.
The meeting was scheduled for the next day.
So, I decided not to put off getting the prof. Maybe I should have spent some more time training, but I already had good stats. And I had great skills for combat. In addition, if everything happens exactly like in the manhwa, I think I can handle it. On top of that, I purposely waited until the evening without doing the daily quest.
And after giving myself a head start of a few hours until midnight, I entered the profession change dungeon.Using the grey key led me to a dungeon that looked like an ancient castle. High ceilings, monumental stone walls, a medieval look. And massive golems in the form of battledress armour.
Ahead of the spacious corridor, one knight was waiting for me and, I only had to approach him.
- The attire...
He didn't react to the sight of my armour. Only when I was very close did the golem move, stepping forward and preparing to fight.
- Haa!
A sharp strike from top to bottom, while using Ruthless Slashing.
There was a rumbling and gnashing sound.
The shadow blade cut through the metal, shattering and crushing the armour. Grey smoke billowed from the golem and the monster collapsed to its knees, while its cuirass was shattered from shoulder to mid-abdomen. Inside, however, was empty, only the same smoke that had melted into the air as it left the armour.
You defeated the knight!
Very well, with a single blow.
My weapons and skills, as it turns out, are just perfect for taking down such armoured opponents. Especially since the base of my shadow sword was... a dagger. A knight killer that I had bought before going to this dungeon. From selling the demon parts, I got enough gold to buy a couple of items from the shop.
And so, I calmly walk through the gate into an even longer corridor.
Warning!
You will not be able to leave this dungeon until you have cleared it completely
You cannot use the shop or potions in this area
Unpleasant, but bearable.
And ahead of me, not one, but a whole group of golem knights.
- Well, let's go... - I grinned under my armour.
The two-handed sword in my hands changes its shape. It's not very convenient to swing a huge bandura in this corridor. Still, I keep the shape of the two-handed sword, making it straighter and more like a rammed spear rather than a sword.
A leap forward and I strike.
Even without using the skill, the shadow peak, due to its power and my physical strength, pierces through the golem's armour.
The metal rattles.
The golems advance nonchalantly. And I take a step back. I swing, and strike again!
You have defeated the knight!
And then another, and another.
Each lunge took out one enemy until I'd taken out the whole group.
Now to collect the loot.
A leather pouch
Holds a certain amount of gold.
High Knight's Brigantine
Rank B.
Reduces incoming physical damage.
Slows down the wearer if their strength is below 80
The armour was immediately equipped, replacing the drab shirt. And from the pouch I received thirty thousand coins. Just at that moment, I felt a faint pulse of danger. I struck a sharp blow, plunging the point of my dagger under the helmet of the knight who had been invisible until that moment.
The skill of disguise...
And then I had to dodge magic.
A new group came towards me, no longer just tank knights, but with a few assassins and mages. And archers. And, in general, these golems were stronger than the same demons. By the way, these mages attacked me with only fire clots so far, like the hunter mage I killed in Don-Sok's group.
Meanwhile...
While fighting the group, I shifted further away and we entered an even more spacious corridor. Just enough room to manoeuvre.
Getting closer to a few knights, I used chopping to destroy three at once.
And then again, covering four archers at once.
I dealt with the remaining knights with single blows, but while I was fighting them, new ones appeared. In addition, among the old classes, there were knights in spiked armour that rushed at me with a metallic rumble. They used the long claws on their gauntlets as weapons. In fact, even their very manner of movement reminded me of the way demons fought.
Now that I was dealing with a new group, the feeling that this dungeon was modulating my past battles only became stronger.
- Huh...
This group was the last group before I came out to the massive gate.
But before I went any further, I collected loot, among which was some pretty good equipment that filled almost all of the armour slots in my status window. And overall, this set of knight's lats just slashed incoming damage by almost half.
- Huh... one more... wait a minute....
Even equipped, I took a little more time to catch my breath. And while I relaxed, the shadow armour and weapons returned to darkness.
Only when I felt I was fully ready for battle did I stand up. But, before I went any further, I took out a bag of poison powder from my inventory.
Basilisk Poison
Damage reduction +20%
Strength reduced 35%.
Negative effect neutralised.
Under the effect of longevity status, the negative effect of the poison was cancelled and only the damage resistance bonus remained.
And now I walked towards the throne room....
A scarlet carpet flowed towards me across the room. And, in this majestic and oppressive moment, there was some sort of awkward scraping sound. I noticed a movement behind one of the tall columns. And, from behind it came a tall warrior in armour. The bloody scarlet knight Igris.
And, the moment I saw him, I was hit by a powerful pulse of force that took my breath away. My heart almost stopped, and it became harder to breathe.
But...
There was one thing that spoilt the atmosphere.
- W-wait... were you... hiding behind that pillar... and waiting for me to come and make a flashy exit?
It was only for a moment, but Igris flinched, his helmet twitching as if he wanted to turn and look at that very column, but held back. The knight answered nothing, but in the pulse of his power I felt... awkward. And, I could swear, as I entered the hall, I saw a glimpse of his scarlet cloak. My imagination conjured up that picture. The bloody knight who had been waiting for me and wanted to sit on the throne, but he thought it would be ugly to the owner of the throne. And, at the last moment, I decided to hide behind a column, and barely managed to do it.
Strange creature Igris...
