Chapter 11: Chapter 11
"Who knew there was beauty like you in this world," said Lucas, enticed by the elegance of the revolver in his hand.
"TING"
Drops of blood fell onto the weapon, staining the gold butt. The platinum black barrel shone like a polished obsidian gem. The dimly lit room featured a bed and a large chest. "I might've missed these babies if that bandit hadn't told me. Thanks for that," smirked Lucas, looking at the pile of gold in the chest and the weapon he held."This might be about 50 to 70,000 gold coins in here,"
Lucas smirked as he picked up a handful of gold. "BITCH, now I'm rich. Well, I was always technically." Lucas looked at the chest and thrust his hand right through the pile of gold, grabbing hold of a curved scabbard.
Lucas pulled the scabbard from the pile of gold, revealing a finely crafted katana within. The blade gleamed with a dark, ethereal light, and intricate runes etched along its length seemed to pulse.
"Interesting," Lucas muttered, examining the runes closely. "This isn't just any sword."
Lucas poured mana into the blade, its runes glowing red as the blade darkened, with a hint of purple at the tip, just about a centimeter."Very interesting. Nice thing at a nice time," Lucas said, looking at the broken and dulled longsword he had used for practice.
"It's also my size, if I say, a perfect fit." He admired the black-glowing katana. "Looking at it reminds me of a time when blood flowed like a fountain from my enemies' necks. Good old days."
Lucas placed the sword in his ring and then turned his attention back to the main highlight, "Should I have a license to keep a hottie like you?" he questioned, smirking. "But the real question is how does it work. Well, let's find out."
Lucas placed the revolver in the storage ring as well.He then turned his attention to the large chest. "Let's get you too, baby." With a touch, the entire treasure vanished.
"I should get a change of clothes. I reek of blood," Lucas said, glancing at his blood-soaked attire.

"Shaat!"
"So this is how it works," Lucas remarked. "It's actually pretty easy—just pour mana." "These round spinning thing is just for the design no real bullet is actually going in."
He grinned, contemplating the possibilities. "So what happens if I add way more, like about twice as much as a normal fireball?" Lucas aimed at the dead body of the bandit from the balcony and shot.
"Boom!"
"Now that's more like it," Lucas said, laughing with amusement. The bandit's body blasted like a balloon, guts flying all over the courtyard. "More mana, more destruction."
"I would have gone with a dual-blade build if I hadn't gotten this. We'll change things up," he mused. "I think it's about time to go. I've been here for about three hours now. The sun is also setting. Hmmm. Let's go," Lucas said as he dashed out of the area.

Lucas disappeared into the dusk, leaving behind a scene of chaos and bloodshed. The captives, now freed, had managed to signal the nearby authorities.
Soon, a group of knights and mages arrived at the scene, their expressions a mix of shock and horror as they took in the carnage.
One of the knights, a tall man with a scar running down his face, surveyed the scene and muttered, "What kind of monster did this?"The lead mage, a woman with short, cropped hair and a serious demeanor, knelt by one of the bodies. "This isn't the work of a typical bandit raid. This is... something else."
She looked around at the mangled corpses and the smoldering remains of what used to be a bandit. "Whoever did this had power and didn't hold back."
A survivor, one of the women who had been captured, approached them, her voice trembling. "It was an adventurer. He came out of nowhere and just... slaughtered them all. I've never seen anything like it."
The scarred knight turned to her. "Did he say anything? Anything that might tell us who he is or why he did this?"
She shook her head. "No, he didn't say much. Just... killed them. He had these glowing emerald eyes. It was terrifying."
The lead mage stood up, her eyes narrowing. "An adventurer with emerald eyes and this kind of power... we need to find him and understand what he's capable of. He could be a threat or an ally, but either way, we need to know."
The knights and mages began to secure the area, tending to the surviving captives and taking note of the brutal efficiency of the attack. Meanwhile, Lucas was already far away, his mind focused on the next step of his journey, unaware of the stir he had caused behind him.
.
"Achaw!" sneezed Lucas. "It isn't even that cold. Why am I sneezing?" he thought. "Well, whatever. Who cares," he muttered, dismissing the thought.
He fiddled with his revolver, admiring its craftsmanship, while leaning against a tree. A blazing fire crackled in front of him, casting a warm, red glow over his makeshift camp. The night was silent, save for the occasional rustle of leaves and the distant calls of nocturnal creatures.
