REBEL'S CRRY: House O' Slaughter

Chapter 5: EPISODE 5: ENTRAPMENT

At the Skyline Police Department, a distraught woman sat with tears streaming down her face. "Where is my son?" she cried out, desperation etched on her face.

She was Whisky's mother, and her anguish was palpable. An officer attempted to console her, "Many parents are looking forward to seeing their children, ma'am."

But Whisky's mother was beyond consolation. "It's been two days since you've found any clue to where our kids are!" she exclaimed, her voice shaking with anger and fear. "What are you people doing? You're not doing your jobs!"

The officer tried to placate her, "Sorry, ma'am. We're trying our best to find the kidnappers' hideout."

Whisky's mother demanded to speak to the person in charge, but the officer blocked her path. "He's currently busy, ma'am. Please, come down."

Her anger boiled over. "You're telling a mother to calm down in this situation? You have no idea what I'm going through!"

The officer apologized, but Whisky's mother was inconsolable. She sat down, her mind racing with horror and terror. Having lost her husband, she couldn't bear the thought of losing her only child as well.

Whisky's mind wandered to his mother, wondering if she was okay. He hoped she wasn't worrying too much about him. But for now, he had to focus on the task at hand. He turned back to his teammates, who were still trying to figure out how to send the distress signal...

EPISODE 5: ENTRAPMENT

They had finally found the map, tucked away in a small ventilation shaft in the wall. It was the same map that other groups had discovered, and it revealed a mysterious layout with four distinct sections.

The first section, "The Big Room," was where they currently stood. The subsequent sections read: "Musical Chairs," "Evacuate," and finally, "The Station."

As they studied the map, other students began to vanish through a massive door. It became clear that they were using their maps to navigate the unknown terrain.

"Let's get ready," Whisky urged.

"But we don't even know where we're going," Fay countered.

"We'll figure it out on the way," Whisky replied. "Time is ticking. We can't afford to waste a single minute."

The timer on the wall read 48:59 and was counting down. The students exchanged nervous glances, aware that the clock was ticking.

"By the time we were given, it's probably too little," Whisky said, his voice laced with concern. "It may look like we have a lot of time on our side but we are bound to be slowed down with obstacles on our way. So let's move, now!"

They went out of the bog room emerging in white passage they were looking for the second section. To get to the last they had to pass the sections in order. They was no shortcut to the game.

Sarah studied the map, her brow furrowed in frustration. They'd been navigating the passages for ten minutes, but the map seemed to be leading them in circles. Other groups loomed ahead, while a few trailed behind.

"I don't get it," Sarah said, exasperated. "This small passage is supposed to be here, but it's not."

Whisky's eyes narrowed in thought. "They want to make this game more mysterious. First, that cryptic clue, and now this hidden passage."

Sarah checked their time. "We're running out of time – 38:46. We're not even close to the second section yet."

Whisky asked Sarah for the map, took a closer look, and identified their current location. The elusive passage, he realized, should be on their left. But when he scanned the walls, there was no sign of it.

Sarah muttered to herself, "What's going on?"

Whisky observed in thoughts, "This passage is smaller than the others on the map. That means it must be really small."

Handing the map back to Sarah, Whisky walked towards the walls, determined to find the hidden passage. "Let's see if I can find anything," he said.

Whisky remained silent, his fingers carefully peeling away a large, white paper on the wall. The paper was nearly invisible, blending seamlessly into the surrounding surface. It was only when Whisky saw the wrinkles that he knew he was on the right track.

As the paper came away, Whisky's eyes widened.

"What the...?" Mike trailed off, stunned.

Underneath the paper, a small ventilation shaft was revealed, cleverly hidden in the wall.

Fay's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "How did you know, Whisky?"

Whisky smiled, his eyes gleaming with pride. "The passage was smaller than the others on the map. Besides everything in a game is a mystery."

Sarah nodded, her voice filled with urgency. "Let's go, guys! We don't have much time."

Fay prodded, "Come on, what are you waiting for?"

"It's too small we cannot crawl in that dust thing," Mike said.

"Time is ticking Mike. If you want to stay here then be it," Sarah said.

Mike shot Whisky a teasing glance. "Fiiine,..the one who found it, must lead the way."

With a mischievous grin, Whisky climbed onto the console, calling out, "Fine, coward! Follow me!"

Whisky hoisted himself onto the ventilation shaft. Sarah followed close behind, her eyes fixed on Whiskey's as he disappeared into the darkness, then the rest followed.

As they crawled through the narrow ventilation shaft, the air grew thick with dust and the smell of decay. Whisky eyes watered and hear could hear Sarah coughing.

The shaft twisted and turned, forcing them to navigate through a maze of narrow tunnels. Their hands were scraped and bruised, and their knees ached from crawling on the rough metal floor.

Just when he thought they couldn't go any further, Whisky saw a glimmer of light ahead. He pushed forward, his heart racing with excitement.

As they emerged from the ventilation shaft, Whisky and others found themselves in a large, dimly lit room filled with with.....

In the center of the room, a large, metal door bore a sign that read: "SECTION TWO". Whisky's eyes locked onto the door, and he felt a surge of determination.

"We made it," Sarah whispered, her eyes scanning the room.

As the ventilation shaft echoed with the voice, "I can see the light!", other group, emerged into the Big Room. The room was rapidly filling with a sea of unfamiliar faces, each bearing their respective group emblems. Travis and his group, the Emeralds, sporting a green emblem, mingled with the crowd.

Crystal's face lit up as she spotted familiar faces. "I'm glad to see you guys!" she exclaimed, as Sarah enveloped her in a warm hug. "How are you, Crystal?" Sarah asked, her voice filled with concern.

Just then, Kacey and his group, the Suns, adorned with yellow emblems, joined the gathering. The air was electric with excitement and apprehension.

Suddenly, the intercom crackled to life. "Students, your time is up. Congratulations to those who have reached Section Two." The ventilation shaft was instantly filled with a line of students crawling towards Section Two.

The intercom crackled again, counting down the final seconds: 5... 4... 3... 2... 1. Without warning, a student's fingers were brutally severed, torn from their hand as the wall slammed shut. The severed digits dropped to the other side, leaving behind a gruesome stump and a trail of blood that began to ooze from the wound.

The students in Section Two were stunned into silence, their faces frozen in horror. Others frantically attempted to lift the wall, desperate to rescue their trapped teammates.

As the students stared in horror at the severed fingers and the shattered ventilation shaft, a new and ominous sound began to echo from the depths of the destroyed shaft. The sounds of explosion were starting to be heard, growing louder and more intense with each passing second.

"It's coming from the ventilation!" someone shouted, backing away from the wreckage.

The students exchanged fearful glances, their minds racing with the implications. What was happening on the other side of the wall? And what would happen when the explosions reached their side?
