Reality Quest: Lookism

Chapter 46: Chapter 44: Reaper

Jin stood at the base of the Seowon-dong building, its towering frame looming ominously against the night sky. He looked up, his expression cold and devoid of hesitation.

With calm, deliberate steps, Jin walked into the building.

It didn't take long for the Seowon-dong members to notice him. One stepped forward, his posture arrogant as he demanded, "What do you want-"

Before the man could finish, Jin grabbed his face with a firm grip and slammed him into the ground. The concrete cracked under the force, and the thug's body went limp.

Shouts erupted as the others sprang into action, brandishing weapons of all kinds. Bats, chains, and knives gleamed under the flickering lights. Jin stood his ground, unflinching.

The first swing of a bat came from his left. Jin sidestepped it with ease, his hand shooting out to crush the wielder's wrist. A sickening crack echoed through the corridor. He followed up with a knee to the man's stomach, sending him crashing into the wall.

A knife-wielding thug lunged at him, but Jin caught the man's arm mid-thrust and twisted it violently. The man screamed in agony before Jin silenced him with a sharp elbow to the temple.

Jin's movements were calculated yet brutal. He left a trail of blood and broken bodies as he ascended the staircase, floor by floor. Each level brought more resistance, but none were able to stand against him. His fists and feet moved with ruthlessness, incapacitating everyone in his path.

At last, he reached the top floor. The room was expansive, with dim lighting casting long shadows across the walls. At the center, the three Mad Brothers stood, bruised but standing tall, reporting to their leader, Jinho Chae.

Jinho, seated on a plush chair, exuded an air of false confidence. His fingers were steepled as he listened to the brothers' words, but his expression shifted the moment he saw Jin enter.

Jin's calm, measured steps echoed as he approached them. The brothers stiffened, their instincts kicking in as they realized the danger.

"Jin!" Kwang-Seop Oh, the eldest of the Mad Brothers, growled, his voice laced with rage. Still bearing the marks from his encounter with Jihan, he stepped forward, his brothers flanking him.

The three rushed Jin in unison, their movements coordinated. They had fought together countless times, their synchronicity honed through years of experience.

But it didn't matter.

In an instant, all three of them froze, clutching their throats. Jin had used Blind Spot Strike with precision, exploiting their weaknesses. Their eyes bulged as they struggled for air, their bodies trembling before collapsing towards the floor.

Before they could recover, Jin's fist shot out, taking all three of their heads in one singular motion. With no pity, he smashed their skulls into the wall, the force shattering the plaster and leaving deep dents in the concrete. The Mad Brothers slumped, gravely injured and already unconscious.

But Jin wasn't finished.

Veins bulged on his neck and arms as his pitch-black eyes seemed eerily calm. He activated Multi-Strike Destruction, his fists raining down with relentless force. Bones snapped, and the brothers' bodies twisted unnaturally as Jin permanently crippled them, ensuring they would never fight again.

Jin straightened with his bloodied fists resting simply at his sides. His head turned slowly to Jinho, who sat frozen in his chair, his face pale with terror.

Jinho's trembling hand pointed upwards. "H-he's on the roof… Kang In Kang is on the roof…"

Jin turned away, his cold demeanor unnerving Jinho, who sighed in relief.

But the relief was short-lived.

Jinho's world spun as Jin's iron grip lifted him off the ground by the neck. His feet dangled helplessly as Jin's fingers tightened.

"I almost forgot." Jin said, his voice low and menacing. "You sent them."

Those were the last words Jinho heard before Jin squeezed, the pain overwhelming him until darkness consumed everything.

Jin climbed the final set of stairs, pushing open the door to the rooftop.

....

Jin stepped onto the rooftop, his calm facade masking the storm raging within him. Kang In Kang stood with his back turned, the faint clink of ice in his glass the only sound breaking the silence.

The moonlight cast an eerie glow over the scene, highlighting Jin's bloodied knuckles and the veins pulsing across his arms and neck. His black pupils seemed to swallow the light, a chilling testament to his restrained fury.

Kang finally turned, his smug expression faltering as his eyes met Jin's. "So, you're the one causing all this trouble." he said, attempting to maintain composure.

Jin didn't respond.

With deliberate steps, he closed the distance between them. No words. No warnings. His body spoke for him.

In an instant, Jin lunged forward, his movements a blur. Kang barely had time to raise his arms before Jin's fist crashed into his abdomen, targeting his solar plexus. The force knocked the wind out of him, his glass slipping from his hand and shattering against the concrete.

Kang stumbled back, clutching his stomach, but Jin gave him no room to recover. His hand shot out again, striking Kang's left knee with surgical precision. A sickening crack echoed through the air, and Kang's leg buckled beneath him.

"Argh!" Kang cried out, his voice laced with pain. Desperation flickered in his eyes as he swung a wild punch at Jin, but it was futile.

Jin caught the punch effortlessly, twisting Kang's wrist until another crack reverberated. Kang screamed, dropping to one knee.

The cold efficiency in Jin's movements was terrifying. He wasn't fighting to intimidate or to send a message, he was fighting to dismantle. Every strike was calculated, aimed at critical weak points.

Kang's breath came in ragged gasps as he tried to retaliate, throwing a weak kick toward Jin's side. Jin sidestepped it with ease, grabbing Kang's ankle and yanking him off balance.

Before Kang could hit the ground, Jin's knee came up, smashing into his ribs. The impact sent him sprawling, coughing up blood.

Kang groaned, trying to crawl away, but Jin stepped on his back, pinning him to the cold concrete. The weight of Jin's foot on his spine made it impossible to move.

"Damn… it…" Kang gasped, his voice strained. He tried to push himself up, but Jin leaned down, gripping the back of his neck and slamming his face into the ground. Blood splattered across the rooftop.

Jin's fists trembled at his sides, but he forced himself to stop. The image of his parents flashed in his mind, their pleas for him to not go too far.

He exhaled slowly, the breath steadying his resolve.

Kang lay broken beneath him, his body trembling with pain. Bruised, bloodied, and battered, Kang would be out of commission for months, if not longer.

Jin straightened, his cold eyes staring down at the man. No words were needed. The silence was louder than any threat could be.

With one last glance, Jin turned away, leaving Kang's crumpled form on the rooftop as he walked back toward the stairs. He had done what he came to do, nothing more, nothing less.
