Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Turmoil
"Midoriya! Uwaaaa—!"
"Um... Midoriya's mom, please don't worry too much..."
Seeing Midoriya Inko, whose tears were flowing like a running faucet, Aizawa Shouta reached out to comfort her, but his hand froze in mid-air. As their homeroom teacher, letting his student get kidnapped by enemies made him feel unworthy of offering any comforting words.
"Please rest assured, we will definitely rescue your child."
The police officer standing beside Aizawa spoke up to console her. Since the student's abduction was reported, both the police and U.A.'s heroes were handling the matter urgently. The first priority was to inform the parents about the situation.
"Midoriya..."
Perhaps the officer and Aizawa's words had some effect, as Inko's tears slowed to a more normal flow. However, they still streamed down her cheeks as she cried:
"Why... why did you have to become a hero? I don't want to see you in such dangerous situations..."
Midoriya Inko's words left both Aizawa and the police silent. Becoming a hero was inherently a dangerous path, yet it was one many aspired to take.
There was no right or wrong here. Parents naturally worry about their children, but heroes risk their lives to protect others.
Elsewhere, U.A. High School was holding an emergency meeting. The "League of Villains" had infiltrated the forest training camp and kidnapped students. After the media broadcast the news faster than anyone could react, it had already become a nationwide scandal.
"This incident makes it clear: there's a spy among us! I already found it suspicious during the USJ invasion when the enemy knew our exact class schedule. And now, the forest camp is attacked? How can anyone deny it?!"
The "Voice Hero," Present Mic, slammed his hands on the table in anger. He had mentioned this possibility before, but the school's leadership ignored him. Now the problem had erupted in their faces.
"Even so, everyone here could be the spy, including you and me. Right now, rescuing the students takes priority."
"Sharp Shooter" considered Present Mic's point. While the chance of a spy being in the school was high, it wasn't something they could resolve immediately.
"Sharp Shooter is right. Let's set the spy issue aside for now. The more pressing question is why the enemy targeted Midoriya Izuku and what their objective is."
"Midnight" echoed these sentiments, earning nods from most of the hero faculty. This wasn't the time for internal strife; finding the enemy's hideout had to come first.
"......"
All Might remained silent, his head lowered to hide his face. Although the other teachers couldn't see his expression, they assumed he was filled with anger and regret.
However... All Might's hidden expression wasn't one of anger, but fear. Night Eye's prediction about Midoriya Izuku's future flashed through his mind. Could it be... that All For One had found out?
The emergency meeting quickly concluded, and the heroes rushed off to carry out their assigned tasks. All Might was about to head to the police station when Togata Mirio appeared in front of him.
"All Might, Sir Nighteye is here!"
...
In the teacher's lounge, All Might and Nighteye sat facing each other while Togata Mirio stood silently nearby.
"Midoriya Izuku has been kidnapped by the enemy... Did someone overhear our last conversation at the school?"
"Yes... It seems the 'League of Villains' has a spy within the school..."
After exchanging just a few words, Nighteye and All Might fell silent again. The situation was truly grim.
"What should we do next? If the 'future' was leaked to the enemy, it explains why All For One launched this attack."
"......"
All Might lowered his head and thought for three seconds before raising it and looking at Nighteye seriously.
"We must rescue young Midoriya. He's still in the enemy's hands, waiting for our help!"
"But…"
Before Nighteye could finish, All Might stood up abruptly. He looked up at the ceiling, his voice filled with guilt.
"In the end, it was our mistake that gave the enemy this opportunity. As heroes, we must make up for our failures."
"Alright…"
Knowing All Might's stubborn nature, Nighteye understood that once the No. 1 hero made up his mind, no one could stop him. Besides, part of the reason Midoriya Izuku was targeted by the League of Villains was Nighteye's own responsibility.
"All Might, can I join the operation this time?"
Standing tall and striking his chest with his right fist, Togata Mirio spoke firmly.
"As his senior and mentor, I can't just sit back and do nothing!"
"Hmm… Mirio, you'll join me."
The roles were quickly assigned. The principal and Aizawa Shouta would stay at the school and work with the media to create a diversion, hiding their movements from the League of Villains. Meanwhile, All Might and other heroes would team up with the police to investigate the League's hideout.
Shinso Hitoshi played a crucial role this time. After several enemies were captured, the police specifically requested Shinso's assistance in interrogations. Using his brainwashing ability, they didn't uncover the exact location of the hideout, but his efforts provided vital clues for the police's investigation.
"The enemies are using Kurogiri's 'warp gate' to gather. We don't know the exact location, but it's supposedly a bar?"
"Yes, and from the information we gathered, that man personally gave the order to bring Midoriya Izuku to him."
Hearing Officer Tsugunai's report, All Might frowned in silence. He already knew that All for One was alive, but this reappearance made him uneasy. Has the boy, Midoriya, become his primary target?
"There's also good news for you. While we didn't get the location directly from the enemies, we've cross-referenced a large amount of data and identified their hideout."
"What? That's great!"
Through painstaking efforts, piecing together interrogations, past intelligence, and collected data, the police finally pinpointed the League of Villains' base.
---
In a pitch-black room, Midoriya Izuku sat silently with his head down. Kouta was still in the hands of that man, Shigaraki Tomura. To ensure Kouta's safety, Midoriya had no choice but to comply with the enemy's demands. At that moment, the door opened.
"Midoriya, I'm sorry… but the master wants to meet you."
Standing at the door, Kurogiri spoke. Midoriya clenched his fist tightly and asked,
"Kouta… where is he?"
"That boy? As long as you behave, we won't harm him."
Hearing this, Midoriya felt a slight sense of relief and replied in a low voice.
"Let's go…"
If that's the case, then it's time to meet the real mastermind behind the League of Villains.
