Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 459: Emma resigns?

But the answer they were expecting didn't come from in front of them. It came from behind them.

"My granddaughter, you are my favorite of so many people, but sometimes I feel you are too hard on your father. Understand that he is the King; perhaps he lacks guts, but he is still above us all in rank and must watch over the people of the Kingdom." The man speaking was Emma Lewis' grandfather, father of Dawid Lewis, and former Dark King, Baldur Lewis.

Emma Lewis frowned when she heard this and turned to look at her grandfather. "Grandfather, " she said.

The grizzled man came through the door, walking slowly. He respectfully greeted Sophia and then looked at his son.

"How big is the statement? You're hesitating too much." He asked.

Dawid Lewis then tossed the parchment to him, and he read it. As he read it, he frowned. "This is quite dangerous." he said.

The communiqué in question involved surrounding the entire Clan City with a large army to catch traitors. While it is true that this is just a ruse to catch traitors red-handed, the City of Clans is home to noble and powerful clans worldwide. All the Five Kingdoms have people there.

Even the 2 Independent Clans that are just as powerful as the Vampire Clans have some things there.

To do that might be declaring war on all parties involved.

'How can he ask for something so dangerous?' Baldur thought and looked at Emma to let her read it.

She read it, and though she frowned, she said nothing.

"Do you notice it now? Doubt in your father is normal. This is a statement only Reagan Cooper and Dawid Lewis can issue. The fact that they won't do it so easily proves to me that I didn't leave the kingdom in the wrong hands." Baldur said.

Emma sighed and handed the parchment to her grandfather again. "I can only say that you all lack guts and vision. You right now know things that the Clan City Leaders don't: Matthew is inside the Clan City. That means this is part of his plan. Those communiques are pressure. Gray Allen chose him to lead the most powerful Clan.

Do you think you guys have more vision or are smarter than him?" She said, scoffing a little. She looked at Sophia.

"How long ago did Matthew request this of them?" she asked.

"The first request he made before entering the City of Clans. Seeing that none of them wanted to support him, even though they were all involved, he decided to solicit again inside the city; he even revealed what he was doing to them. That was why he decided to ask me to send the message personally. I guess he already gave up on all of them and will make his plan work differently.

This morning, Jack Allen issued the first communiqué, and a few hours ago, I issued the second. They are still missing, and although the most important ones won't be issued, they will be enough." Sophia replied in great detail.

Matthew explained the situation to her beforehand through letters so she understood what was happening.

Emma nodded and looked back at her father and grandfather.

"I am sure that if any of you ended up locked up in the Human Empire, you would not be able to return. Much less would you be able to send messages outside, when you are locked up in Clan City. The fear you guys have of Matthew and the plan failing is pretty stupid. Honestly, I'm sure you guys aren't afraid of him failing." She glared at them, causing them both to frown.

"You are afraid that a Bloody Vampire General, who has now been recognized as Leader of the Allen Clan, will rise in the political echelons of the world as one of the most powerful. You are afraid that he might reach heights in politics that are on par with his other statuses.

I don't know if it's jealousy or fear of someone so powerful, but you know that if Matthew's plan succeeds and you are part of it when he succeeds, you will all be nothing but subordinates."

"Heh, selfish and stupid thoughts. I'm sorry, but in status, you are already so far away from him. You are so far behind him that even in cunning and intelligence, one of his moves is greater than 1,000 moves of yours."

"We are facing a race-level threat, and it is possible that our Kingdom is the cradle of traitors. I alone uncovered over 10 high-ranking nobles and over 11 Ministers. Do you really still think that's not enough reason to alert the world? Well, never mind." After saying this, she turned around and threw her military uniform on the ground.

"I will disassociate myself from the Kingdom. I don't want to serve a Kingdom whose King lacks guts and whose former King can't see beyond what a meaningless status is all about. I do not want to belong to a Kingdom whose leaders are giving shame solely out of fear that someone will rise above them."

"I'll just remind you: Matthew Dietrich right now represents Clan Allen. What will Gray Allen think of all this? That man they once served must be deeply disappointed."

"After all, those he supported to ascend to the throne and those he brought to such great heights are now hesitant to follow his orders. Hehe, I wish you luck for when this is over. Keep maintaining the stupid status quo in the face of the other Kingdoms who only care about their own interests." Her look of disappointment glanced at the scroll once more.

"But, at least for one last time, consider signing the document. At least then I won't feel ashamed of the Lewis blood that runs through my veins." Emma Lewis began to walk away from there in annoyance, and all the recognition badges that belonged to her were thrown to the ground.

She had done countless good things for the Kingdom. Despite her young age, she was one of the Generals with the highest recognition. She was worthy of praise, and her personality characterized her.

She could understand it perfectly. On the battlefield, one doubt can make you lose the war. She would have lost the whole frontier by now if she had been like her father or grandfather. Because taking on humans or people who work with them takes more than just cunning.

That's why she walked without looking back and didn't even turn around after hearing her father and grandfather's screams. Her determination never wavered, even less so now that she is exhausted and disappointed in her family.

Of all the people, Sophia Murphy was the most surprised. She had never been so surprised by a person's words.

'Charles Relish had the opportunity to marry Cecily Edevane. I always wondered why he didn't take such a good opportunity. He and Cecily are great friends, after all; even if Cecily didn't like him, she possibly wouldn't turn down his proposal. But now I understand why. I didn't think there was such an interesting woman around here.'

Although Sophia had spoken to Emma several times, this was the first time she experienced what she was really like.

And she experienced it before a situation like this.

Sophia smiled and looked at the men there. "One measly communique that two Vampire Clans and the Academy will back still makes you so hesitant? Tsk, really, I feel like Emma Lewis was born into the wrong family. How ashamed I would feel if I were in her position." Sophia said, walking away without looking back.
