President Fu Is Great at Pretending, and the Frail Young Master Has No Way to Deal With Him

Chapter 45

Fu Yanhe kept moving closer to Gu Wenning, insisting that Gu Wenning smell him.

“I seem to smell good. Really, I smell the same as you, wife. If you don’t believe me, just smell it.”

After Fu Yanhe sniffed again, he came up with an answer.

Gu Wenning choked. ‘I use the same shower gel, so of course, it has the same scent.’

At that moment, Fu Yanhe also reacted. When he looked up and saw Gu Wenning’s speechless expression, he couldn’t help but feel his face heat up.

However, he had always been thick-skinned, and embarrassment was impossible. He reached out, held Gu Wenning’s face, and said with a smile, “Honey, are you happy?”

“Um?” Gu Wenning was confused.

“My wife and I have the same smell, which means I am my wife’s person,” Fu Yanhe said matter-of-factly.

Gu Wenning didn’t understand what a smell could mean, but after glancing at Fu Yanhe, he felt that this person seemed quite suitable for him. From head to toe, there was nothing out of place. He was wearing the same pyjamas and slippers as himself. He had bought them himself, and he felt inexplicably happy.

Next, Fu Yanhe didn’t mess with Gu Wenning anymore but watched SpongeBob SquarePants together with him. The two of them watched children’s cartoons that were not suitable for their age, each watching with more gusto than the other.

It could be said that Fu Yanhe hadn’t had much of a childhood. It wasn’t that Mrs. Fu and Mr. Fu were so crazy, but in order to cultivate a qualified heir, they ruthlessly deprived Fu Yanhe of his childhood, making him study here and there all day long. As a result, there had been absolutely no time for free play.

But Fu Yanhe had always been very strict with himself and was a very self-disciplined person. He gave up playtime and, at a young age, arranged every minute and second of his life clearly and systematically—socializing, equestrianism, chess, mathematics… His neatly arranged class schedule made everyone’s head spin. With a high degree of self-discipline, it was no surprise that Fu Yanhe had grown up very well. It was also for this reason that Mr. Fu had handed over the responsibility of the company to Fu Yanhe, so he could take his beloved wife and travel around the world without a care.

In Fu Yanhe’s childhood, there had been no cartoons. When Gu Wenning was watching SpongeBob SquarePants, he had just watched a few episodes. Gradually, he had discovered some fun in it. He began looking forward to watching it with Gu Wenning every day, at least for one episode.

As for Gu Wenning, his love for SpongeBob SquarePants was somewhat influenced by his childhood experiences. When he had lived in an orphanage, the conditions were poor. There had only been one TV, an antenna TV, which few of them could watch. The one that had left a deep impression on him was SpongeBob, who was always dressed in bright yellow and laughing.

The single sofa was suitable for one person, but Fu Yanhe was squeezing in it with Gu Wenning. Even though Gu Wenning was very thin, Fu Yanhe was such a big person. It was naturally crowded for the two of them to squeeze on the lazy sofa, especially now that the weather was getting hotter. When the air conditioner wasn’t on, they were sticking to each other. As time passed, Gu Wenning couldn’t stand it anymore. He opened Fu Yanhe’s fingers one by one and planned to find a seat next to him.

As soon as he left, Fu Yanhe moved away.

Gu Wenning sat down, and before he knew it, Fu Yanhe had appeared next to him. He said with some helplessness, “Don’t get too close, it will get hot.”

Fu Yanhe glanced at Gu Wenning quietly and agreed with some aggrievement.

Well, if he didn’t get it, he didn’t get it. Who made him obey his wife the most?

But they still had to hold hands.

Compared to being hugged by Fu Yanhe, holding hands seemed nothing, so Gu Wenning readily handed over one of his hands, allowing Fu Yanhe to hold it for as long as he wanted.

Holding Gu Wenning’s hand, Fu Yanhe was half distracted from watching TV. He treated Gu Wenning’s hand like a toy, rubbing it little by little.

“It’s eleven o’clock, time to go to sleep,” Fu Yanhe reminded.

He paid more attention to time than Gu Wenning, reminding him to go to bed on time every day and try not to stay up late.

Gu Wenning was in high spirits and didn’t want to go to bed so soon. He might not be able to sleep anyway, so he might as well watch TV for a while, so he ignored Fu Yanhe’s urging.

Fu Yanhe urged him once, twice, and three times. Gu Wenning verbally agreed with “Yeah, yeah,” but didn’t take his eyes off the TV, not preparing to move. He was obviously just brushing him off.

It was said that warning only last three times. After the third reminder didn’t work, Fu Yanhe took action directly. He bent down, picked up Gu Wenning by the waist, and strode toward the bedroom.

Gu Wenning was stunned. He didn’t react until he was put on the bed, letting out a somewhat unhappy “humph.”

He was about to finish watching the episode of SpongeBob SquarePants just now. It was only three minutes away. It would only take three minutes.

Fu Yanhe pulled the quilt over Gu Wenning and felt a pang in his heart when he saw that his wife’s face was slightly puffed up in unhappiness. He didn’t even look at him, clearly irritated.

Sadly, his wife got into trouble with him because of SpongeBob.

As he rolled his eyes, Fu Yanhe suddenly came up with a plan.

“Do you still want to continue watching SpongeBob SquarePants, wife?”

Gu Wenning raised his eyelids, glanced at Fu Yanhe, and gave a faint “hmm.”

“You can watch it, but there’s a condition. Just call me husband.”

Fu Yanhe had been thinking about this for a long time, ever since they were in Qinglan Restaurant.

However, he had never been able to bring it up. Hearing Gu Wenning keep saying “Mr. Fu” made Fu Yanhe feel distant and cold.

Gu Wenning slowly opened his eyes wider, showing disbelief.

Why did he feel that this person was a little shameless? Why couldn’t he just watch his own TV? Why did there have to be a condition to watch it?

At worst, he wouldn’t watch it.

Gu Wenning simply closed his eyes, pretending not to hear.

Seeing that he had tricked no one, Fu Yanhe wasn’t discouraged. He continued, his voice growing more seductive: “I’ll go see SpongeBob after this. Don’t worry, my wife, I’ll turn the sound down very low, and I’ll make sure I won’t disturb you.”

Everyone could tell that Fu Yanhe was doing it on purpose, trying to seduce Gu Wenning and attract his attention. Gu Wenning wasn’t stupid—of course, he knew.

He really wanted to just sleep like this. Wasn’t it just a three-minute cartoon? He could just watch it tomorrow.

But deep down, it felt like a cat scratching at his heart. It was extremely itchy, and there was a little voice in his mind urging him on.

‘Are you really willing to let it go? Can you really sleep without seeing the end? Don’t you want to know the final outcome? What you watch today is for today, and what you watch tomorrow is for tomorrow. If you miss it, you’ll never see SpongeBob tonight again.’

At that moment, Fu Yanhe spoke again, “Instead of calling me husband, you can call me brother. No one’s ever called me -gege (brother).”

Obviously, Fu Yanhe had long forgotten the title “Fu-gege.” But even if Fu Yanhe remembered it, he would argue that “-gege (brother)” and “Fu-gege” were different. And aside from his sweet wife, he didn’t care for anyone else calling him “-gege (brother).”

Gu Wenning really couldn’t bring himself to say “husband,” but if he replaced it with “-gege (brother)…”

After hesitating for a moment, Gu Wenning slowly sat up from the bed.

Note

Gege is like oppa, another petname to call boyfriend.
