"Dear viewers, welcome to the second round of the Indigo league, hosted at the Water Field!"

Breaking the long silence, the host's sharp, enthusiastic voice echoed across the Water Field.

"First, from the red side, we have the dashing contestant, Kai! He dominated his last match with an overwhelming advantage. Will he continue this winning streak today?"

Amidst continuous applause, Kai emerged from the contestant tunnel, waving confidently to the cheering crowd.

In the audience, a group of rowdy bikers waved flags and shouted enthusiastically, drawing the attention of everyone around them.

"Big bro, show these noobs your power"

"Uooooooooooooooo!!!"

By now, most attendees were familiar with these boisterous fans, who had made their presence known during the previous matches.

It was clear that their cheers were directed at this poised young trainer. The stark contrast between Kai's composed demeanour and the wild, rough image of his supporters fueled speculation among the crowd.

Some whispered theories began circulating: "Has a biker gang leader turned over a new leaf to become a Pokémon Trainer?" and "Is this young man the son of a notorious gang boss competing in the Pokémon League?"

Once the applause subsided, the host continued, "On the green side, we have Otoshi! After his last performance, has he managed to regain his form?"

The crowd offered polite applause, though it was punctuated by boos from Kai's biker supporters.

Otoshi walked to his position on the battlefield, facing Kai from across the Water Field.

When both trainers signalled their readiness, the referee raised his flags.

"Trainers, send out your Pokémon!"

Kai reached for a Poké Ball at his waist, enlarging it in his hand before tossing it into the air.

"Come out, Gyarados!"

The Poké Ball released a massive Red Gyarados, its crimson eyes and intimidating presence instantly commanding attention.

Otoshi followed, throwing his own Poké Ball.

"Let's go, Poliwhirl!"

Poliwhirl, the evolved form of Poliwag, appeared on the field. Its glossy blue body shimmered, and the black spiral on its belly stood out prominently.

The host exclaimed, "It seems both trainers have chosen Water-type Pokémon for this battle! Since neither side has a type advantage, this will come down to pure strength and strategy!"

However, the moment Gyarados appeared, its Intimidate Ability activated, causing Poliwhirl to recoil nervously.

"Whoa! Kai's Gyarados is truly imposing! Its Intimidate Ability has already shaken Poliwhirl's confidence before the match has even begun!" the host observed.

"Poliwhirl, don't give up! The battle hasn't even started!" Otoshi shouted, trying to motivate his Pokémon. Despite his encouragement, Poliwhirl remained visibly uneasy.

"Poliwhirl, start with Hypnosis!" Otoshi commanded.

Poliwhirl gathered its focus, releasing hypnotic rings of light from its eyes, aiming directly at Gyarados.

"Into the water, Gyarados!" Kai countered calmly.

Just before the hypnotic waves reached it, Gyarados dove into the pool below, causing the rings to dissipate harmlessly across the water's surface.

"You can't escape just by hiding underwater!" Otoshi retorted. "Poliwhirl, follow it in!"

Poliwhirl leapt into the air, preparing to dive into the water. But before it could submerge, a powerful eruption of water signalled Gyarados's sudden ascent. With incredible force, Gyarados collided with Poliwhirl in mid-air.

"Well done, Gyarados! Keep Poliwhirl pinned with Bite!" Kai commanded.

Gyarados caught Poliwhirl in its massive jaws, clamping down tightly. Despite Poliwhirl's slippery skin, the sheer size and power disparity left it unable to break free.

"Poliwhirl, use Hypnosis again!" Otoshi called out desperately.

Poliwhirl tried to focus, but the immense pain from Gyarados's crushing jaws disrupted its concentration.

"Fine, use Water Gun!" Otoshi ordered.

Poliwhirl sprayed a torrent of water into Gyarados's mouth, exploiting the soft interior to force it to release its grip.

Though the attack dealt minimal damage, Gyarados reflexively loosened its hold, allowing Poliwhirl to escape.

"Poliwhirl is free!" the host announced.

"Not for long! Gyarados, use Twister!" Kai commanded.

Gyarados thrashed its powerful body, creating a massive waterspout that engulfed Poliwhirl. The swirling vortex grew, sending sprays of water into the audience.

"Wow! What an incredible display! Kai's Gyarados has turned the battlefield into a storm!" the host exclaimed.

Trapped in the vortex, Poliwhirl was battered by the spinning currents. When the Twister dissipated, the disoriented Poliwhirl was flung high into the air.

"Now, Gyarados, finish it with Aqua Tail!"

Gyarados's tail glowed with swirling water as it swung upward, striking Poliwhirl with immense force.

The impact sent Poliwhirl flying out of bounds, slamming against the stadium wall before sliding to the ground, unconscious.

The referee raised his flag. "Poliwhirl is unable to battle! Gyarados wins!"

The audience erupted into cheers, enthralled by Gyarados's power and Kai's commanding strategy.

Otoshi sighed heavily as he recalled Poliwhirl. Though he still had another Pokémon, the overwhelming strength of Gyarados left him deeply concerned about his chances.

But he had come too far to give up. Gritting his teeth, Otoshi sent out his second Pokémon.
